Lots of colors to choose from on the tables and more to choose from on their paint wall. Everything's provided with your purchase of an art piece. We brought the paints to the room for our group and shared them. But we were told that we needed to put the bottles back as other people may need to use them. We kindly did, but they had several bottles of paint for others. I think in the future, larger parties should be able to keep the bottles at the table for refill purposes. But other than that, it was a fun experience. Within a few days, our pieces were fired and ready. Fun little family spot.

The galleries offer specials on work and artists have meet and greets. While eating lunch across the street I noticed the beautiful display windows of the Avalon Gallery so after I finished I had to come over and check them out. Avalon is owned by John M. Terry and Mavis L.R. Benson and they represent over 120 artists in the U.S. and Canada. The gallery is filled with beautiful artist blown glass in all price points. Glass is one of my favorite mediums so I enjoyed exploring all of the beautiful pieces. In addition to glass they also have jewelry, ceramics, lamps, furniture, and wall art. If you can't come to the gallery in person you can look at what they have available on their website but they don't sell on online. You have to contact them directly if you see something you want to purchase. They will also consult with you to find exactly what you want. You can really get the personal touch here. If you can visit I highly recommend it. You really need to see in person how these beautiful works of glass art capture the light.

I don't enjoy giving bad reviews over small things, but it's been months since my experience here…read moreand it's still on my mind. I'll stick to the facts and you can make your own conclusions. First impressions: I loved the concept. A cooperative-style art studio giving artists a place to create is genuinely special. When class started, the teacher, a relatively young girl, introduced herself and immediately told us not to bother telling her our names because she wasn't going to remember them anyway. I remember thinking... okay. A little odd, but whatever. I'm here to play with clay. She was very skilled and genuinely helpful during the class itself. I enjoyed learning and had a good time. At one point I noticed a pile of glazed pots sitting nearby. The teacher mentioned that unclaimed pieces get donated to a rage room. I remember cringing a little thinking about all those cute handmade pots getting smashed. After learning the wheel, you glaze your pieces and leave them behind to be fired. We were told the studio would contact us once everything was ready for pickup. A few weeks went by and I never heard anything, so I checked the website. It basically said: please do not call us, firing takes time, we'll reach out when ready. Okay... slightly cold in tone, but fair enough. I figured I'd be patient. Then life happened and I completely forgot about it. Now it's been months. No call. No email. So at this point, I'm assuming someone probably had a fantastic time smashing my pots with a baseball bat.
