There's so much great stock in this vintage boutique, she'd probably have to buy a couple of crates and charter her own private plane to haul them back to L.A! Beautifully decorated like an old Hollywood actress's attic, Somewhere has wooden floorboards, old cabinets packed with jewellery and accessories and lots of old black and white photos that give it a genuine boho feel. There's racks of incredible vintage dresses, skirts, suits, blouses, knitwear and coats dotted everywhere you look and a few select dresses hanging from the ceiling. I can't claim to be be able to spot an Ossie Clark dress from a hundred feet but I can tell that the owner of SIT is clearly a dedicated fashion follower that has encylopediac knowledge of different styles and periods in fashion history.

Somewhere in time is a vintage clothing shop and antique shop in one. Here you will find vintage dresses in excellent condition, like the 1940's white tennis dress I spied, as well as vintage shoes with a lot of wear left in them, and all kinds of antiques from hardcover books to teacups. Some neat collectable items I spotted: antique dollhouse furniture, cute earrings and other costume jewellery, and a shelf of classic novels. So, if you like vintage clothing as much as I do, and if you love the movie Somewhere in Time, why not pop in here and see if you can find a dress worthy of Jane Seymour's character, Elise McKenna.

The Twig Shop. Well…read morenot so much a shop, rather a garage. Yes it's just a car garage, It's been going for some years now. Wednesday and Saturday it opens up the top sliding door to reveal a bit of an Aladins Cave of bits and bobs. It's all run as a charity to help people in third world countries. Every penny goes to the help needed. All items it sells are donated by the community and sell for a very small price. It's not the most elegant of little charity shops but it does what it says on the tin and really does help others. I nip in there very often and find those little gems that add something to my life. Very much the old saying Someones rubbish is another persons treasure.

I also got some Armani jeans which fit me SO well for £25. I don't have them anymore but that's not because they didn't last. If you love designers but can't afford it come here! You can even try on.

It has to be said that Llandudno has more than it's fair share of charity shops. Tenovus sits in…read moreone of the main charity shop zones at the bottom end of Mostyn Street (the other being in Madoc Street). It's a cancer charity which I think is based in Wales so it isn't as high profile as many of the other charity shops around but it's well worth supporting. I remember once upon at a time they had a kiosk in Asda where they sold charity scratch cards which. Not surprisingly it disappeared soon after the National Lottery stated up so their shops are now an important source of income. The shop sells the usual range of second hand clothes, books, videos and so on. It's a nice little shop with friendly staff so please visit it if you're in Llandudno as they need your support.

There are some lovely clothes made from vintage fabrics which are very unique and nice gift ideas too. Definitely worth popping in!

There's a lot to be said for small vintage shops as you can do all your rummaging quick sharp, and this place is perfect for that very purpose. As previous Yelpers have confirmed the stock rotation is indeed frequent, so be sure to pop in any time you're in the Northern Quarter. One of the things I love about this titchy boutique is the shoes... the brunette and I were drooling over little red pixie boots for quite some time. There are plenty of customised one-offs and second hand garments to choose from, and no doubt anything you buy from there will attract envious attention from friends. Unfortunately it doesn't cater for men, however a great many high street fashion shops don't either, so I don't have a gargantuan issue with that. The staff are very friendly and appropriately quirky themselves, so if you're stuck for inspiration you can always have a gander at what they're wearing. Prices vary depending on the item but no label has made me gasp in agony thus far. And I had no idea about the buy one get one free sales, so thanks to Alexandra I'll certainly be looking out for those in the future! And who can resist aqua-marine, well, I can't. This store has done extremely well in making itself conspicuous amongst the many shabby chic boutiques along Oldham Street, and it has definitely earned its place as one of the shops that very much makes the Northern Quarter feel like the Camden of Manchester. Great little vintage shop. Great place for if you want a real one off piece. There is no rummaging…read morethrough piles of old clothes here, all clothes are pressed and ready to wear straight from the shop. Sorry boys but you wont find much here but hey at least they put the most important people first! Very often this place puts on a sale which is 'buy one get one free' so keep an eye out girlie's :)
