In the 4 times that I've visited Rome, Sant Eustachio never fails to impress me. Every visit, we manage to be here once or twice. Have tried their Gran capuccino, Monachella, irish coffee, tiramisu. They have pastries to try as well. No seating available inside but a few tables are available outside. Be prepared to be charged table service if you decide to sit down. It can get crowded at times but definitely worth the try and wait. Italians normally stands by the counter to sip their espresso and we've tried that too. Definitely a must go to when in Rome. The coffee shop was full of store goodies, from coffee beans, branded accessories, sweets, and pastries. We opted to have our coffee at the bar and got the Gran Caffe', their specialty espresso. I really enjoyed how creamy it was, it made the espresso very tasty and gave a great lasting impression. I kind of regret not getting some souvenirs, so I will definitely have to come back next time!

We also enjoyed the toast prosciutto with cheese quite possibly the best fancy grilled cheese ever and ended breakfast with the most amazing pistachio cannoli . My husband also had the most decadent hot chocolate ever! A must if you're not a coffee drinker. Service was excellent. Their cappuccino was great, although quite strong, and hit the perfect balance of bitter, acidic, nutty, and chocolatey notes. The space is quite small and very crowded, so it can be a bit confusing to find your way through. You need to squeeze over to the left side of the shop to place your order with the cashier, who will hand you a receipt that you can give to the baristas.
