Zeer lekker Spaans getint eten! Perfect gebakken scampi, genoeg saus, porties die zeker groot genoeg zijn, goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en daar boven op nog eens geweldige bediening. Zeker een bezoekje waard! read more

We both had the wine that was recommended for each dish. Everything was delicious. Pork was very tender and flavorful. Ambiance was also nice. My daughter and I ordered deer and beer. Damn good combination. The decor and service were cool. The deer was so tender and my 9% beer went perfectly with the meal. Prices were reasonable for portions. And the presentation was really colorful. Bon Appétit!

Restaurant itself is nice, with a good outside sitting area as well as a large indoor area. Food: I had gray shrimp croquettes and waterzooi fish, both traditional Ghent dishes. Croquettes could have had a bit more shrimp (they didn't say any thing about % of shrimp like some restaurants so I assume less than 45%). €10 per piece, so quite expensive. Fish stew was DELICIOUS! If it wasn't €28 could eat that stew for days Service: meh. They were only half full, but took awhile to get beverages and food. Had to remind the wait staff a few times. One unfortunate thing is because of the high Asian tourists in the restaurant, who were noisy and rude (taking pictures of EVERYTHING including restaurant patrons), the experience wasn't great. I left as soon as I could.

They specialize in traditional Belgian dishes, such as Beef Stew. We were looking for something local and authentic like this! We did find a reservation day of and were able to book it. Came here on a rainy evening, seeking shelter from the spitting rain. Since I was only in Ghent for…read moreone night, I wanted to find some traditional Belgian fare. This place seemed very cozy and fancy, with candles on tables and fairy lights, and people seemed to be having a great time. Moreover, it served a traditional Flemish beef stew, so I walked right on in! Fortunately, they were able to squeeze me in for an hour. I ordered the Flemish beef stew, which had around 6-8 chunks of beef and a small dill-flavoured side salad. It also came with a plate of fries - and when offered the mayo, I instantly accepted to try things the "Belgian" way. The stew was good at first bite, but I grew tired of it halfway through. It was very salty and strong of acidic red wine, and some of the beef chunks were still tough and under braised. The fries were a bit soggy and too thin to be considered typically Belgian fries. For 30 EUR, it was slightly disappointing... but it appears most things in Ghent are quite expensive. The servers there are quite young but very kind and welcoming. I had no issues with the service. What irked me the most was the water situation. I felt pressured to order something, so asked for water. Out came a 20mL glass bottle - just enough for 4 sips of water - and they charged me a whopping 3.5 EUR for this tiny baby. Unbelievable... left a bad taste in my mouth.
