Since moving here 2 years ago this has become my favorite place to shop. Most of what they sell is salvage and overstock from other stores which most of the time means that if boxes are crushed or torn, packages have been opened, companies have changed the labeling on products or if they just have too much stock on hand, you will save BIG by purchasing at Marden's. Some of my finds have been: -Interior paint for $5, selling for $15 elsewhere -Vitamins, supplements & OTC meds for 30-60% less -End of season clothing on clearance for $5 or less -Popular hair appliances for about 50% off -Skincare and hair products for about 50% off -Foods for about 50% off -Home decor & kitchen items for about 50-75% off If you are a bargain shopper then you will love this place, be careful though because they don't have regular inventory, so you can't count on something still being there the next time you come in. They take multi hour lunches, they take half a day to fill a prescription. My wife just had a pharmacist tell her to call back because she didn't know how to fill her prescription. I legitimately HATE having to interact with them at all and it's such an awful experience. I don't know how they stay employed other than the fact that there must be no other pharmacologically trained people in the area to replace them. The rest of the store is good although it's prices are measurably worse than other places further away. The store itself is kept reasonably clean, I've never went into the bathroom and found a crazy mess. Staff who DON'T work at the pharmacy are typically friendly and helpful.

The first time was to browse the aisles because every Costco will cater to their community and I discovering local stuff. In this case I found some snow,ice rubber shoe traction aids which you won't find in So. Cal where I live. I also like to sample any new item from their food court. It was poutine and not bad at all. The brown gravy tasted similar to a KFC gravy and the cheese curds tasted like mozzarella. They have a gas station so don't freak out when you see the price because it's in litters not gallons. The only bummer was that they only accept MC and my USA Costco Visa card does not work in Canada . My option was cash and it's a good thing they have an ATM so you're not S.O.L.

Hell, I'm told that my state has the same population as all of Canada but let me tell you how this one little Costco stands out -- real customer-centric-service. I do not remember all of the names but I had the return from hell -- different country, different tax system, and a conversion rate to boot. It did take a while and I was patient with my bizarre Merican request and got my refund in equivalent Canadian dollars. Any business that will go to that extreme for a refund is worth a long-term membership in my book.
