The owners were very courteous and…read moreaccommodating, they gave us a great deal, we know for a fact they have the best prices in town. The room was really spacious and very clean (sheets and towels were spotless, looked new), being a germ-a-phobe, I really appreciated that. It was warm and cozy, we slept comfortably. If we ever pass through Princeton again, we will definitely be returning here. Dave & Alice

It was clean and inexpensive. We had to ask twice to turn on the heat. Although there is a kitchen…read morethere is next to nothing for cooking with. A sign telling us to wash the dishes if we used any, or they would charge us $5.oo, but no dish towel. A sign telling us how to turn on the gas stove (which was good) and if we broke it we'd be charged. No sign telling us that the fridge wasn't turned on or how to do it. Same with the microwave. Very poor lighting: only two lamps with 40W bulbs! In the bathroom, no plug for the sink and none for the bathtub. Makes taking a bath hard! No bath mat. Could they get any cheaper? Any deer that happened to wander by...well, we wouldn't have to rush to see them because they'd probably be run over by one of the trucks that rush by and be quite dead. Luckily we didn't see any. No green space nearby. Next time I'm in Princeton, I'll stay somewhere else. I'll give it points for the sign on the door: "Do not smoke weed in the room"! Welcome to B.C.

This place proved to be a large pain in the butt for me. Admittedly…read morethe travel agent, booking.com, contributed to the problem, but it seems that absent the policies of the motel owner, there would never have been a problem. Through booking.com I reserved a room at Villager Inn for the next night, paid for one night's stay and received a "confirmation". The next morning I received a phone call informing me that my "confirmed" reservation was cancelled due to overbooking presumably by the motel owner. I was offered a chance to book at another place in Princeton but by the time I could get online, that slot had disappeared. To his credit, the owner claimed he would cover any cost difference but I was able to procure a room on my own at approximately the same price as his/hers. So, here's the problem. The owner has an unstated policy of overbooking. He/she also has a cancellation penalty - one night's payment for cancellation. This sets up a very nice (for the owner) situation wherein a room could potentially draw two night's rent in one night. Sweet - have your cake and eat it too. Adding to this hypocrisy, I pre-paid for the room that I never got but between the owner and the agent, it took about five days to get my money back for the contract that the owner broke; totally unacceptable.

This motel is right off of the Crowsnest Highway and it is very quiet. There is a Pub right next door and a resturant for breakfast in the morning. This is a definate place to stop while traveling the Crowsnest Highway. If you are traveling eastbound on Highway 3 there are alot of wineries to stop by on you trip.

This little motel/motor inn in Princeton is one of the best and cheapest options in town. The lady…read moreeven offered me a small discount rate when I called to ask about prices. She was very friendly, nice and accommodating. The place is right off Highway 3, with Princeton's main core right at your fingetips. Within a five minute walk, you can get to the town pub, liquor store, two pizza places, fast food, gas stations/convenience stores, coffee shop, laundromat, restaurants, ATMs, the Greyhound stop, etc. It's a very convenient location! Upon entering my room, it smelled clean and everything was spotless. The flatscreen TV had about 30 or so channels, including a few with good movies. Unlike some motels, the beds at the Cedars Motel are comfortable and the pillows nice and soft. The air conditioner made a bit of noise, but that's to be expected with an older model. There is zero noise from the highway, and if you're leaving early, they have a mail slot by the office door to drop your keys in. This is one of the cleanest, friendliest, yet still affordable motel experiences I've had in recent memory, so if I make it back into Princeton, I will be staying at the Cedars again without question!
