I saw photos of this Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) appear in my feed recently. It made me realize how…read moremuch I miss Winnipeg. The photos that I looked at brought back a lot of fond memories. I'd reckon that this SDM is the closest one to the University of Manitoba. It's located on Pembina Highway, south of Abinojii Mikanah (formerly Bishop Brandin) Boulevard and University Crescent. The Pembina 60 bus runs along this street if you need to commute to this store and you don't own a vehicle. I used to spend a lot of time in this area. There used to be a music (CD and DVD) store that I spent a lot of time at. There was also an eatery nearby that had a footlong hot dog that I enjoyed. I have a feeling that both establishments are long gone. However, this SDM endures, along with a Domo gas station a bit south of the store. This SDM is a decent size. It had everything that I needed whenever I stopped by. From snacks, to bandages, it served me well. Although I never got a prescription here, there is a pharmacy at the back of the store. This SDM does not have a post office, though. I do remember this store having a decent food section. I frequented the cookies and cereal aisles the most when I shopped here. The frozen foods section was decent. There were many frozen entrees that catered to university students and folks who were too tired to make anything after a long day. The best part of this store was its hours of operation. I am hoping that it stills opens at 8 am and closes at midnight. Not all SDMs stay open that late, except for my local one in Osborne Village that was a 24-hour one. I miss shopping here. I'd love to check it out whenever I'm back in the city again. (208)

I actually have no issue with the service that I`ve received in the past from either this or the Sargent location. Service in that respect would be a 4 or 5) Driver claims to have come and reported that I wasn`t home, which was bullcrap. Never called me, nor left any notice like one would normally expect, with the customer stuck with tracking via the number left Amazon order-wise. After my email request, they supposedly attempted delivery again a few days later, only for me to find via tracking-wise again ``Address correction required - incomplete/incorrect address provided``. Orz... UPS and DHL never give me this much of a hassle. This exact situation has happened another time in the past as well.

Several times, they have claimed that I have been inaccessible despite me never being contacted as well as being at home in wait for my package. The drivers rarely bother to even try to deliver it, it is like they do not want to do their jobs. At this point, it is not a coincidence, it is a pattern. It has been several occasions of this poor service. Customer service is a waste of time; they will essentially tell you to fix it yourself. They will not re-deliver either, just send you on a wild goose chase like some kind of bizarre punishment for even bothering to use their services. If I had any choice in the matter, I would never use their services again. Unfortunately, they are partnered with my phone provider so more horrible customer service seems to be in my future! If you have a choice, avoid this company.

I did a search and found this Shoppers Drug Mart. It's on Main Street, next to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, in a plaza. I had no problem backing into a parking spot in front of this drugstore's entrance. I then walked in. This store has a security guard. I said hi to him. The provincial motto is Friendly Manitoba. I don't think that he said hi at all. That's too bad. I realize that you have a job to do, but it would have been a nice touch. It's why I've removed a star. I no longer live in this province, but I am friendly. Why can't you be? I came here for drinks. I got a twelve-pack of Pepsi zero cherry. I also got a 1.5-litre bottle of spring water. I found the clearout section at the back of the store. There wasn't anything that I needed. Nearby was the post office. It was closed when I was there on an early Sunday evening. I used a self-checkout kiosk to pay for my items. It was straightforward to scan my PC Optimum barcode off my phone. I then scanned my items and paid with a credit card. Done! There was a female staffer at the checkout helping a customer when I left. This drugstore had everything that I needed. I still feel that the security guard on duty could have been more cheerful. Maybe he was having a rough day. (236)

Please shut this location down, it is an utter disaster and you risk your sanity every time you half to interact with the idiotic and hostile staff.
