I needed to set up an IRA before taxes were due in 2022. I called Hermann about 7-10 days before…read morethe due date. I spoke to mr Hermann. I asked if we had enough time to set up the IRA before the tax return due date. He said yes, absolutely. He told me to make an appointment to come in his office. apparently he was too important to make the appointment and he transferred me to his admin. Of course she wasn't available and I had to leave a message. So far I'm not impressed. Especially after hearing all the ads on 92.5 radio about how great they are. So I get my appointment several days later and go in. He proceeds to tell us how committed he is to his customers and how 'great' he is. so we complete all the paper work and he tell us the 'paper work has to be processed'. What ever that means. So then the next day is Thursday before Good Friday I get a phone call, voice mail message, saying we can't set up your IRA in time you need to go to the bank and set up an IRA and then after the Holiday we can transfer the money into account with us. So now I have to take time off from work to rush to the bank with my husband to set up these IRA accounts before the banks are closed on Friday. Thanks you really know how to talk the talk but walking the walk not so much. Hey maybe if he had made my appointment he would have know the time constraint and could have told me then there was enough time to get this done.
