It was covered with earth and then the vines returned to their original location. Its a beautiful design that can be partially viewed from the side through glass walls Nice wines. Below boutiqe production levels. So low I was surprised they had wine tastings. Nice guided tour 20E Great olive oil. We left with both wine and oil. Drank the wines in Spain and brought the oil home. The property was beautiful the hotel looked amazing. Highly recommended

It is better known for the winery on the property, a…read morebeautiful recycled steel structure designed by the firm, RCR, that makes it the coolest winery you will ever go to. In addition, the wine is delicious, and uniquely and beautifully packaged. However, few people stay at the farm house when they visit and they are really missing out. The house itself has been thoughtfully and masterfully updated and modernized and has many comforts including some of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on in Europe, high thread-count sheets and pillows, super-plush towels, and beautiful bathtubs. Every detail is in good taste, the house is kept immaculately clean, and the staff is lovely from the groundskeepers, to the host, to the cleaning ladies. Breakfast was delicious and offered local products, some of which they produced themselves. There is a beautiful, and very private, pool to take a dip in at any time. And after breakfast we fed the Iberian pigs on the property breakfast scraps which was a lot of fun. Both the location and the woman managing the property, Lory, made our trip to Catalonia and the Costa Brava. We had such a great time hanging out and Lory's recommendations were incredible. The beaches she suggested were the cleanest, least touristy, and most picturesque I've ever been to in the Mediterranean, and I've been to some incredible beaches. She made reservations for us at incredible restaurants, places that were small, used food from their own gardens and local artisans, and off-the-radar spots no visitor could ever find on their own. Again, she made our stay there our most favorite place in our month long trip across Spain and France. Lory alone makes staying at Bell-Lloc more than worth it. Thank you Bell-Lloc for a wonderful experience.

I felt we had left on bad terms after our first visit 12 months ago. After thoroughly enjoying our…read morelunch (including a ludicrously generous cheese course) we had had to rush away to keep at an appointment at one of the many nearby vigneron rather than linger over a digestif. We were therefore delighted to be able to return a month ago, this time to stay as well as dine. Being a Sunday (and just out of season) we were the hotel's sole residents. At dinner we also dined alone. This could have felt awkward. However, our charming host provided just the right level of service making the evening feel special rather than odd. The food remained excellent - simple but beautifully prepared and the wine list read like a greatest hits of all of the region's top names. Our room was also perfectly pleasant with plenty of space to relax and a good sized balcony for al fresco lounging. Free WiFi was on hand to keep you connected with the rest of the world - a big plus. So nice in fact that a return visit is now looking more than likely in another 12 months or so.

Breakfast is ample and offers a good variety of fare including hot and cold choices, served in the 1st floor dining area. The area is also the hotel bar and is laid out around the feature staircase down to the tiny central foyer. The breakfast buffet area can become somewhat cramped at busier times. The rooms are adequate but not what I would call 4 star. Though clean and tidy and offering a well stocked mini-bar and coffee and tea making facilities they are somewhat 'tired'. My bathroom was in need of renovation. The shower head refused to stay put and always slipped, giving the wall a better shower than me. There were also dirty gaps between the tiles around the bath/shower and some mould. The usual supply of bathroom products was fine, as was the linen. My bed was a too soft for my taste, but none the less comfortable and well presented. I was lucky to have a working safe in my room, though other members of my party had no safe or a non-working safe, hotel information does indicate that all rooms have safes. The tariff is very competitive and I would consider staying here again, though I'm sure there must be better 4 star hotels in this city, but doubt that on price and value this Mercure hotel would be beaten. To sum up, I give this hotel 4, I'd like to give 3.5 but cannot do that on Yelp, so I give 4 stars because of the staff who were all a credit to the establishment.

Delicious breakfast of baked goods, fruit and coffee with an adorable black cat roaming around. Pascal was very helpful with making plans for the day. Only wish it was made more clear before hand that they only take cash.
