The university market is open every Wednesday and Thursday. As semester gets busier, the number of stalls grow, and then towards the end of the year and/or when the weather gets crap, it tails off again.
There's always someone selling second hand books, someone selling fruit, someone selling flowers, someone selling hippy clothes. Often someone selling picture frames, too. Regular market fair, really, but it suits the students who don't have time to get out to buy things, and the prices are always very reasonable. The whole shabang can look a bit sad when it's raining - a few people sitting out determinedly whilst the kids stay equally determinedly in the dry - but it's been going for years and will probably go for years more.
Cash only, but there are lots of ATMs around. read more
