Most of everything you could ever reasonably need can be found here. It's pretty good in that regard. There's plenty of parking, you don't have to walk an awfully long way from the car to the shops and back, and it's usually not stupidly busy like some other shopping centres. Really, it's just a good sized suburban shopping centre. Don't expect Chadstone, but something much smaller and in many ways much better.

Waverley Gardens is the local small shopping center for the suburb of Mulgrave, they offer a few essential stores but lack popular fashion brands. Waverley Gardens is really just a place you would go to get groceries, visit the bank and maybe pick up a few household items. If I were looking for an outfit, I would definitely not be thinking of this place. Being a small center, this place does offer quite a lot. There is a Coles, Woolworth, Aldi, Target and Big W. There is also quite a good fruit and veg market here located just next to the Coles. Overall I think Waverley Gardens is a good shopping center for what it is- a small suburban center to pick up household essentials. I have no problems with coming here when I'm in the area.

Plenty of underground car parking, though it can be tough to get a park at peak times. There is a hand car wash service if your car needs a shine while you shop. Lots of wide aisles and escalators make this a favorite for parents with pushers. There is free WiFi in the food court on the top level so you can add your Yelp reviews while having a coffee. And if the centre does not have what you want, the Glenferrie Road shopping strip is right outside.

The Clarendon Shopping Centre has a Coles, Terry White Chemist, Bakers' Delight, Sushi Top, Coffee Club, Tatts outlet, Flower Shop, Asian Massage and 2 other coffee outlets. There's plenty of parking underground with the first hour free, $6: 1-2 hrs, $9: 2-3 hrs and so forth. It's close to Clarendon Shopping and cafes. South Melbourne Central is also fairly close and you'll find a Safeway, gym, spotlight to name a few in there so the centre is very conveniently located with a broad range of shops and cafes in the near vicinity.

The layout is a bit confusing with escalators that don't keep going and up and down, being in different places but for the most part this place was easy to navigate. We ended up wanting to sit for a bit with a snack and, again, the food court is MASSIVE. From what I saw, you could probably get any kind of world cuisine in this place. The Oroton warehouse is a great place to shop for gift ideas. They have some of the latest stock that only just goes on sale and some times they have massive savings like 50% already reduced prices. You have the potential to pick up some great leather goods for less than half the price. I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a bargain but doesn't want to deal with the massive crowds and cant be bothered circling a car-park for a spot. This place seems almost undiscovered.

This is a good place to come if you just want some personal alone time, to wonder around and shop aimlessly. There's no sense of rush or excitement here, just a relaxing place where you might find a few good bargains along the way. There are over 400 free car spaces here, which make it all the more stress free.

The strip boasts a wide variety of stores and there is something nice about being able to be in the fresh air between stores. It certainly beats traditional shopping centres. The staff here are very pleasant and warm too- also a nice contrast from most staff in big shopping centres. The shops are fairly small but each staff member is super helpful and willing to go the extra mile. There is an IGA store, a butchers, florist, chocolate shop, cafe, hair salon, discount store, fruit shop, take-away and a Brumbys to name a few. There is also a bank. One thing I do like about this place is that there are public toilets provided, although they are pretty feral so it really isn't that much of a plus. Parking here can be risky as it is a high accident strip. There is a big park at the IGA end and I'd recommend parking there rather than in front of the shops.

Forest Hill Chase is never really springs to mind when I think of shopping centers. Located in the…read moretiny suburb of Forest Hill, I came here once and was pleasantly surprised at the center. It was clean and new-ish, it didn't feel like one of those old and forgotten places that nobody ever goes to. That said, it was relatively quite in the center- but it certainly didn't feel forgotten. Forest Hill doesn't have a huge variety of fashion stores, there are still a few goodies here though (such as Myer). Forest hill also have a Hoyts cinema and AMF bowling/M9 laser strike. My favorite thing about this place is the fact that there is a TGIF here! I think I would come back if I ever wanted to just wonder aimlessly through a center, without feeling rushed or buzzed like I do at Chadstone. Would also come here just for TGI and Hoyts.

Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre is somewhere I drop into if I am passing by, but it is not…read moresomewhere I tend to go to on purpose. While it is fairly big and there have been a lot of upgrades recently, the atmosphere here is pretty non-existant and I don't enjoy myself. One good thing about the centre is that there are over 3500 free car spaces without restrictions. These are spread all around and under the centre itself. The centre has 3 levels with the topmost (and smallest) being the best. This is the newest part of the centre and has been designed to be a bit of an entertainment hub. It features Hoyts Cinemas, TGI Fridays, Nandos, Timezone, Rebel Sport, The Chase Hotel and JB Hi Fi to name a few. Despite being the biggest hit of the centre, it still doesn't get very busy up there. The centre is never really busy so if you don't like crowds then this place is perfect for you in every way! The average shopper tends to be a bit older although most of the shops seem suited to younger shoppers. There are a heap of taxis that wait just outside the food court. Bizarrely they are often there during the middle of the day. Bigger, rival centres don't have this service so this is a definite plus.
