Our recent UK trip included several days in London and a week walking in the Cotswolds. I'm a…read moreshopper, but for this trip I pretty much stayed out of gift shops. Instead, I started wandering through antique shops to see what classic cultural treasures I could find. The London House Antique Center offers a wide variety of quality antiques that are sourced by around 20 local dealers. The individual bays were easy to access and browse, only occasionally requiring a key to a particular cabinet. The guy holding down the main desk was very helpful and informative as I identified 3 particular treasures (a small fishing tackle box, a heavy brass weight standard, and a copper/brass Morocco gun powder flask). Of course I purchased them all, weather I needed them or not. They still look great back home and in my opinion all were a very good value. Another trip would have pealed back another layer of this antique store onion. If I come again, I need to take a closer look at the antique tools, and old English football programs.
