We stayed at the KOA for 3 nights and ate at the cafe each day. The food was hot, fresh and tasted great! We had the breakfast burrito skillet (twice), french toast, scrambled eggs, the classic burger, the Indian taco, cheese curds, fries and the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich. There was not a thing that we disliked. The lady running the cafe and her husband are so personable and enthusiastic. It was a pleasure seeing them each day. The cafe is super clean and the view is great. We travel full-time and in our 5 year journey, this has been our favorite campground cafe. Best Mushroom Bison Burger [Devils Tower WY] Right before you enter the Devils Tower Monument and just across the DT Trading Post is this cafe... plenty of seating inside. This is a counter service so we placed our orders at the counter then they brought us our food to the table. I ordered the Mushroom Bison Burger (lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side) and it was deee-licious! The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. Bison is naturally leaner than ground beef too! The only thing that bothered me a little was the amount of flies inside the restaurant. Other than that I was enjoying my bison mushroom burger. Lots of parking on a paved parking lot. I honestly really enjoyed my fish and chips and the friendly service. The batter on the fish was great. My husband had the Devils Tower Indian taco and thought it was very unique and tasty, especially the bread. It was the perfect portion size for a quick and easy lunch after a hike. It was about 35 dollars for two meals and a fountain drink. Giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because it hit the spot but didn't knock our socks off. read more

We stopped in to have lunch after hiking the Joyner Ridge Trail. The Staff are so friendly. I had the Chicken Tenders and my husband had the Classic Burger. Everything came out hot and fresh. The seasoning on the chicken tenders was excellent. The pricing was really good and worth it. Stay around Devil's Tower National Monument for food. It is the best in the area and has reasonable prices. read more

We had dinner and breakfast in this quaint little place and both were great. Chicken fried steak for dinner and eggs and bacon for breakfast the food was really tasty and well portioned. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the monument and the campground. Definitely a convenient place to dine if your staying at the KAO and super family friendly. Sometimes places like this can get lazy because they feel they have you captive and you don't have any other choices but not the campstool cafe. They earned every star I give them. read more

Friendly staff. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Relaxed feel, but a little tourist trapped feel, to be expected given the business around them. Ate breakfast on 2 days. Reasonable prices and portions were nice. Had the chicken fried steak bkfst the first day and it was OK. I preferred the breakfast sandwich I got the second day much more and it was cheaper. Food is made to order and was hot each day. Sausage gravy had lots of sausage and may have been scratch made. The lunch and dinner menus seemed appropriately priced to competitors read more

Food was great, nice sit down restaurant after a walk around the Devils tower. The service was amazing. The girls were very attentive. My husband had the bison burger.... Highly recommended. Prices were great compared most the places near these parks are outrageous. They also have a nice little gift shop upstairs. read more

Food was delicious and the prices and service were fantastic. If you are camping at the KOA you get a 10% discount. I recommend their breakfast skillets. The pancakes were also really good and huge! They were the size of a dinner plate. Perfect for sharing or splitting between a few littles. read more

Might want to double check the hours. Even when you checkin at the RV park they tell you the wrong hours. Also very limited menu...not even fries! We just had two burgers and chips. Felt like the patty went on the grill straight out of the freezer and had not a lick of seasoning. I guess you take what you can get in this area when it is not in season. read more

Also referred to as the Campstool Saloon inside, great views of Devil's Tower and next to it. Lots of room for patrons and at the Park entrance (I can see the tourists checking in with the Rangers out the window). Not many choices on the sides (forcing me to eat French fries when I'm trying to avoid them, and to make matters worse, they are good fries, tempting me to eat more). The buffalo burger (bison) was just fine. Not huge like at the expensive restaurants in western cities but just right this evening. Beer was served in the can, admittedly I ordered a Bud Light. I confessed to the waitress that my tastes were plebeian, but she didn't seem to be critical. Not as crowded as you would expect in light of being next to the park, but Google is listing Campstool Cafe as "closed" as I sit here eating. It's immediately adjacent to a KOA campground HQ, so that may make it less visible. Wait... two big vans loaded with students just came in, so strike that "not crowded stuff". read more

Starving after super hot July 3 Devil's Tower hike with husband, 14 and 10 y/o. Husband enjoyed bacon burger, 10 y/o with his first Navajo taco(enjoyed it but said it was kinda 'oily'), my fish n chips were solid. Cold beers in cans n bottles. Overall a yes. Downgraded one star 2 only veggie options as Kraft Mac n cheese and house salad(both a little sad). Nice waitress and good social distancing. Thanks!! read more
