My experience with Camping World in Gulf Breeze was, without exaggeration, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. When I purchased my camper, the problems started immediately. They sent me off the lot with a dead battery in the trailer, which meant I had to drive 30 minutes back to the dealership just to replace it. That should have been caught before I ever left. The service department experience was just as bad. They installed my hitch but provided almost no assistance in the process and essentially left me to figure things out on my own. Once the paperwork was signed, it felt like there was zero interest in helping me as a customer. The difference in treatment before and after signing was night and day. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. Less than a year after purchasing the trailer, a part broke. When I contacted Camping World for help, they told me they had no technicians available to even look at it. There was no assistance with the warranty process at all. I was forced to navigate the entire process myself. Ultimately, I ended up paying $1,200 out of pocket to repair the issue because I needed the trailer fixed. I even paid for a more expensive part because their service provider, Melanie Doege, assured me I would be reimbursed through the warranty process. Was given an in person estimate by this location's reps. When I came back for the work 2 weeks later, front desk couldnt tell me how long the work would take, instead, she was listing random prices and how much money I'd be saving. When I informed her I needed a time guesstimate, she went to the back and returned to inform me they wouldn't be able to do the work at all. When I asked if a tech could at least look at the car/ talk to me directly before turning me away from a job they had previously agreed to do, they said no. We had a wonderful experience with an A/C repair that we needed. We were traveling from Washington State so were far from home and were only staying in each place 1-2 days. We drove thru a short bridge and sheared off the A/C from the top of our camper which also made a small hole in the top of the camper. Camping World was able to get us in right away and they fixed the hole and installed a new A/C in an hour and a half. Couldn't be happier with the service! read more

Won't return. I selected one item today, Oct 28, 2025, and proceeded to the cashier area to pay for it, a 30amp female to 15amp male cord for our RV. I placed the item on the counter. Two women were working behind the counter. There were no other customers near the counter other than my wife standing next to me. I thought we'd be addressed or acknowledged in some way, but the two women were too "busy" to look up even though they were just standing around. Not even a glance our way. After maybe three or four minutes I left the item on the counter and my wife and I shrugged and walked out. Bought a used conventional trailer from Gander, we were so pleased with our sales team experience, but on our first outing we discovered a soft spot in the floor by our slide, the vinyl flooring was peeling up. I think "No issue, we wanted to renovate anyway"...peel it back to find lots of mold in the floor and some super soft wood. So then I think, "Ok it's a used RV in Florida, this stuff happens and they likely didn't re-seal until right before reselling." My issue is that the repair discovered is a patch job that uses j-wrap (not sure that it was done by this dealership or another one but that's a dealership material...) Basically nice sales team (but they only sell, they don't know all the ins and outs), but I would bring an inspector with you to make sure they can find what the repair team may have passed off. Warranties on product is something you pay for and then they act like you didn't purchase it while trying to make all the products you purchased work and is a functional camper. From being told, "15 minutes" then allowed to set for 6 hours waiting, to scheduling an appointment to have purchased RV fixed, "you'll have to pay for that." Then when I took the 30lb propane tank to get refilled for the first time I was told that it had expired... 2012 was the date on the tank. The only way I give this repair shop two stars is because the people at the front desk are very helpful and have nothing to do with the mechanics. We had our motorhome's oil changed last year just before we went out on a six-month tour of the states. Several months after we returned, we had a mobile tech come out to look at our batteries. What he found was ridiculous. He found a plastic coke bottle where our oil cap should have been. This is unacceptable and he was concerned with whether debris was sucked into our engine. Well, our check engine light is on and we don't know whether it's because of this or not. But it doesn't matter. No one should have to pay $260 for shoddy work. Having purchased a brand new C class Mercedes Forest River from camping world Gulf Breeze , FL in October 2022 ,we have had nothing but problems with both the camper and this branch of Camping world . The list of problems with is camper is endless , the service department have little to no idea how to fix the problems . Every problem has to agreed by Forest River before it can be fixed by camping world . The communication between CW and FR is virtually non existent. The manager , Service Manager and staff are not interested in solving our issues. The Area Manager was almost helpful , but she also didn't follow through with promised phone calls etc . We ARE a the angry customers that every one is avoiding . My husband went to CW to confront the staff , limited to no success as they promise phone calls and results .. nothing happens until we call again . The only thing that this branch is capable of is making excuses. The latest solution from CW 's perspective is that we chase FR . I purchased a used 2018 Wildwood Travel Trailer 10/18/2023 and have regretted it ever since. During the walkthrough, there were issues with the leveling jacks and the awnings. They fixed them (not really) before I left. When setting it up that very night, I had issues with both, right away and sent a note to my salesperson. No reply. (still don't work correctly) Within the first month, I had the power converter go bad, the furnace was incorrectly wired, the fireplace was rigged by previous owner and blew up, the fridge's temp element went out (and still doesn't work correctly). Because I live a distance and don't own a truck yet, I paid a mobile tech to do the repairs. Oh yea, I am paying monthly for the extended warranty, which has proven to be a joke so far. I have not been reimbursed to date. In the first two weeks, I had texted the salesperson, who I liked, and called the dealership 6 times before the service guy called me back only to give me the name of a mobile tech. NO ONE HAS EVER REACHED OUT to see how my experience was? How my camper was? Nothing. I rarely write reviews like this, but it is truly disappointing to have received NO customer service, especially after such a large purchase. Since then, I've discovered many other things about the camper, that had I known, I would not have purchased. I guess that is on me for assuming I was being told the truth about it. We use our RV for our business. It is used most every day. We made arrangements to have it out of service for a week. CW said our warranty repairs would take a day. We made an appointment over a month in advance. When we showed up to drop it off they said I would have to leave it as it would be at least two weeks before they could get to it. I said "what is the appointment for?" They said "It was just to get in line". I asked if I could bring it in when "my time" came up and they said no, I would have to start all over. read more

A little back ground here. We bought a 2015 Forza in Nov. 2021. Was suppose to be total ready for a road trip. January we went to AZ, no fridge, the chair on the passenger side will not close. We left AZ in Feb Called Gander in Feb they couldn't get to it so we made an appointment for April 18 No update nothing May comes so we called to find out where we are on the repairs, they hadn't had a chance to look at it. Bought a new Class C, 2020 Thor Daybreak from the Gulf Breeze store 3years ago. It was a gift from my family after retiring from the military. We thought we're going to have a lot of fun and we were wrong. The vehicle has had multiple issues since the day we drove off the lot. The latest issues started when I dropped my RV off at the GB service department in April. I had 4 issues after some cold nights. ( the slideout did not operate, awning over slideout needed to be replaced, no power to ALL outlets on slideout, sky light over the shower needed to be replaced). It has been nothing but a constant pain dealing with the service department to say the least. In June, the service department texted me and the RV was repaired, ready for pick up. The service department requested I pay the bill over the phone before I even look at the vehicle. I told them we would be there in a couple of hours. Had new to us technician show us the vehicle. The sealant around the skylight was still wet and extremely soft. There was still no power going to any of the outlets on the slideout. We asked the technician to open the slideout. The slide started moving outward and ripped the hardware was ripped off the side of the RV. The hardware was installed backwards and the part was never operationally checked by the technician and the work was not inspected for Quality Control. The service manager said it's his job to QC all work and it wasn't done. The only discrepancy that was fixed was to reset power to the slideout motor to move the slide in and out. The service manager gave me his word that ALL the issues would be fixed. After a few weeks, I called the service department to get an update on my vehicle . I was told that some of the parts for the awning were on back order and they weren't sure when they would get them in. There was nothing they could do without the parts. In July, I sent multiple emails to camping world customers service representatives and called them several times. I was finally given a case manager and was told she would get me some answers. In August, I tried multiple times to call the case manager with no response. I eventually received an email stating that she had just returned from vacation and she was transferred to another branch in corporate. Im currently on my third case manager. After being bounced around with camping world staff at the store and at corporate, I created a group email chain. I sent an email to the GB store GM, Service manager and corporate case managers so we can all be on the same page. I also had a meeting with the GM in his office. Apologies were expressed and he would get the RV fixed. He opened another case number to ensure corporate knows about my issues "complaints". September 15, corporate case manager sends me an email. Says my RV is fixed and I need to pick the vehicle up. The RV is open and generator running. The show is on. Except, no GM or service manager to show us the vehicle. They knew we're at the store and corporate told us to pick up our vehicle. Instead, a nice young man from the service department that didn't know much about our RV showed us the completed work. Within seconds we saw the slideout still had no power. The power on indication light was out. The technician said he was not told to about any power issues on the slideout. The power issue was never looked at. We left the store and I immediately emailed the camping world leadership at all levels. Within 45 minutes the service manager said the power issue was found and the part was on order. October 5, I email corporate case manager, store GM, and part owner Marcus Lumonis for an update on my vehicle. Since it's been 3 weeks since our last meeting. A market service manager from corporate called me yesterday and was very sorry. I was passed along to another person that was very sorry but it's all a show. Within hours I received another email from the GB store service manager saying they found a different issue with the power for the slideout. It would be fixed soon and they would let me know when it's ready for pick up. They had my wife and I waste our time on multiple occasions because of incompetence and lies. Then they won't return your calls, and can't help you when things go wrong with your brand new expensive RV. And the sales department is the worst. We purchased a Class A in October, and bought the extended warranty. Was told we could cancel within 60 days if we changed our minds. I canceled within 60 days, sent a certified letter with my written cancellation request. It is now March 8th, 2021 and I still have not gotten any notice that the cancellation is in process. I've called numerous times, spoken with Alan Reynolds and Lisa Mayweather and all I get is we're checking on it and will get back to you. But, they never get back to me! I call or email again, same answer. Warning - DO NOT purchase an extended warranty with the intention of taking some time to look it over and then cancel. You will NOT get your money back, and we're talking a lot of money. My hope is this review will shed some light on this problem and help others. They are very short of service technicians. I had to wait hours and days to get my new RV detailed and spot repairs done. I've been told they have techs coming so hopeful the service department can make the it right. read more

Purchased a RV from them in November. In January during a trip the passenger side window decides to compromise and tried to fly off. We tapped the windows after several tries of fixing the seal. Called Gander got the run around from service and sales. They only care about you once they make the sale you are no longer valued. They recommended a repair guy and he came out to our home said someone replaced the window with acrylic and if your compare them driver side you could visible see the difference in appearance. We also have a loose seal in the bedroom that needs repair. I guess it's on us to repair since gander refuses to even try to help order the part. Just buy elsewhere to prevent dealing with any department at this dealership. read more

An update regarding the RV we recently purchased from Gander: Diana in Sales and Lisa in Credit, when we made the purchase, both said that they know the previous owners of the RV and assured us that it was taken excellent care of and that the previous owners only traded it because they wanted a bigger one. Today, my husband called our local Mercedes dealership regarding the service records on the RV's Mercedes chassis and learned the *real* reason why the RV was traded: It is due for an oil change, fuel filter change, transmission service, and braking system flush, all of which will total roughly $1,400. Our RV was in the shop since January. We had been calling and drove in to get updates. We got different answers, didn't get a call back or were sent home home because the person who knows was not there. We wanted our RV back in May but they said there is no way to get it out from the lot. My husband stayed most of the day in the sun to make sure he can get it home in June. The person who helped him hook up the Jeep lost our safety pins so my husband drove more than one hour trip in terror. He is 67. Nothing was done. The batteries were dead. The RV got rust. It takes two hours to/from this location. The weather in June is in high 80s. They lied and let my husband going home unsafely. read more

I took my car in on a Saturday to get a 7 way connector and trailer hitch put on, 2 days later they didn't even finish. I wouldn't take a vehicle here to get anything installed for towing. They were ok to purchase a trailer from even though ours came with a broken fridge, took 2 months to get in for an appointment and then was told 3 days for a diagnostic but yet no phone calls. Terrible place can't believe they fall under camping world. The only good thing about this place is the actual sales for camping needs. read more
