Went in yesterday not even planning on purchasing. Looked a couple of units that I wasn't impressed with (personal preferences as they were mostly all nice), then Georgia showed us a used Avenger that we loved. Went back to the office to discuss and let me just say at 5:30 yesterday my truck was loaded. Georgia was AWESOME!!! Stacey in the service dept was AWESOME!! Everything they promised, they delivered without question!! Have had bad experiences with other dealers in the past, but will definitely be back here!! They are family now!!! read more

This is absolutely the worst camping place to purchase a motorhome eve. If I could give them a half star I would. We purchased a motorhome cost over100k and they didn't do a good walk through only about 20 minutes di warning if you buy from this place exp no service department to call you back ever and for a first time buyer the walk through shows you absolutely nothing and the girl that sild it to us sent me the worst text anyone could send a buyer said she was blocking me because we were older and should know what we are supposed to do well sh was also supposed to send gas receipt to nanger she said I didn't send her but it showed delivered she just didn't want to mess with it. They were supposed to fill up the motorhome whe we bought it they didn't that's why she was texted a receipt to get us reimbursed and I called their service department twice they never called me back and the slide won't work but taking it to another place to get a list of things fixe! I advise everyone DO NOT USE CAMPER WORLD IN BOSSIER CITY AND DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GEORGIA THURMAN! She sent the nasty text and I have contacted attorney against thi camper world and Georgia Thurman who the attorney is definitely going after Georgia Thurman so girl you better get ready because I don't appreciate being called old and what else you said then block me it's your damn job to take care of your customers not to just basically tell me to go to hell and block me after you made your commissio. This is a serious warning about this particular camping world don't use them! read more

Georgia was AMAZING! The entire process start to finish was the best I could have asked for when purchasing my first camper! They were honest, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed before I left! Thank you for making the processes so seamless! read more

Everything started well. They told us first the we would get our traveling Trailer Saturday. Someone on the property messed up our trailer with pulling it off the lot. so after a new trailer came from Oklahoma we were promised Monday it would be delivered. Monday came in at 2:25pm in the afternoon I was told that due weather conditions where the transport people are they couldn't get it to us. From camping world to Minden LA there was no weather issues. so that BS. We got here and got a friend of ours from where we were staying to haul the trailer to where we needed it. we were told we need to build the hitch with your truck. they knew our truck was not going to be moving the trailer in the first place. that we needed to get another truck but we didn't plan on moving the trailer for 2 years. we had time. We were told that this place like in communication. Do not buy a camper at Camping World a lot of bullshit stories and they don't seem to help you out when they claim they do. They just go around and round. Not a great place at all. read more

Buyer Beware I am shocked and appalled at how this company took complete advantage of my senior citizen brother who lives on Social Security. After losing everything in a divorce my brother decided he was going to buy an RV Camper to live in. Thinking that Camper World was reputable and would not take advantage of him, he bought one. He has great credit and therefore no down payment was needed. Long story short, as soon as he left with the Camper, he knew right away that what they sold him was too large for his truck. He turned right around and went back and he was told "too bad", "buy a new truck". My brother begged and pleaded for them to help him and they said there was nothing they could do. My brother sat down in disbelief, not knowing what to do, he sat there, shaking. A 64 year old man that was so excited about not being homeless was devastated. Finally they said they'd make a phone call and see what they could do. Here was the last straw for me, they came back with a much smaller camper, fine, but now in order to make a deal he had to come up with $2000.00. His once good credit meant nothing. Oh and he was not ALLOWED to test drive the camper to see if his truck could handle it. They told him to take it or leave it. He didn't have $2000.00 so he had to borrow the money. Again, he lives on Social Security. They should forever be ashamed of themselves and I hope they reap what they have sown. DO NOT TRUST salesperson Stacy Wright or GM Benjamin Tais. Shame on you!!! read more

Currently, I own a 26DBLE and am thinking about a toy hauler. When we arrived, they wanted my name, address, email, phone number, etc, before I would be allowed to even look at any trailers. I already have enough spam, so I declined. I was not allowed on their lot. I will purchase elsewhere. They tried to tell me it is for insurance, but no company requires all of that info for insurance. Otherwise, walmart would have us sign in read more

bought a KZ Connect and had to spend a lucrative amount of money within the first week or two of owning it on just repairs, upon sending the invoices related to repairs, two of the three were declined, one I completely understand as it was a factory issue, not theirs. one was confirmed and accepted, I was asked for an address I had responded with my address and 3 months later, still no refund. In one of many attempts to call, I finally got through to the guy who told me i would indeed be receiving a refund. in the call, he was quickly irate, as if it was his money I had spent to repair the camper when I haven't seen a dime. I unfortunately responded in kind- very poorly. his response was to simply continue doing what he had been doing for months and ignore me. What a distasteful example of a fixed operations director. I have no doubt they willingly do this in hopes we will just turn the other cheek and not pursue anything further than emails or giving up. I won't be giving up and will look into alternative ways of getting my refund; legal, even, though I'd prefer to avoid it as it is expensive for the little guy in all of this read more

Showed up for my appt at 10:30am. Waited 30 min and still did not receive any help. Asked another sales person to show me the camper that I came to see. During my inspection of the camper I noticed the roof was peeling and had bubbles in it. I was told this was normal. As I proceeded to tell the salesman and the service manager that it wasn't normal, I was then told I could make a warranty claim to have it fixed. Why would anyone buy something just to put it in the shop??? As a dealer, they should correct the issue before trying to sell it to someone else. Or maybe they will get lucky and the new buyer will not notice. Bad business in my opinion. I sent this same review via email directly to Camping World and their response was "OK!" read more

I bought a brand new camper from the Bossier City, La dealership, within 6 days the camper leaked through the slide out and had over 2 inches of water inside. We took it to them to have it fixed because it wasn't possible to return it even though it had only been 6 days, we've been dealing with this for over a year now. They've "fixed" it only to have it leak again, it recently leaked pretty bad just two months ago, almost a year after we bought it and after 4 trips to get it fixed. Even spoke to corporate, they didn't care, I was reimbursed by the dealer with $600 in gift cards, like I want to spend anymore money at camping world, and $600 check from corporate. I am very pleased with the sales and the service. My salesman was Gary Sherrard, and he listened to what I wanted in a travel trailer and showed me several. Very knowledgeable. I bought a new Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel from Camping World of Shreveport in May, 2020.  Got great service at the sale, helpfuly sales team, great delivery...BUT..... that is where Camping World of Shreveport falls short.  They DO NOT and WILL NOT return service calls...they want to sell you a new camper but they fall way short of anything resembling service.  They could care less!!!  As long as they make the sale, that is all they care about!  And the joke of a mobile RV service guy they recommend...named Derrick...is another joke! At ALL COSTS, avoid Camping World of Shreveport unless you're positive you'll NEVER need to have your RV serviced. On the other hand, I called Camping World of Little Rock and they had a service man contact me and have already taken care of my warranty problem...in 2 days (unlike CW of Shreveport, that worked on this last warranty problem for more than 3 months)!!!  Camping World of Little Rock...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... read more

Better Business Bureau rating "F-" is deserved I should have checked first. Camping World had a decent reputation, but not all locations are the same. Some local sites, like this one, have morally and ethically bankrupt employees. I was unambiguous about city, county, state taxes and wanting all costs associated turnkey. When we picked up, we had to pay extra taxes. Sales guy (Eli, aka Eliar) was nowhere around, but said he would be there. The title paperwork was supposed to be ready and waiting. I do not drive much due to military service-connected disabilities, but my wife was in the area one weekend shopping with her mother. They stopped by to again ask for the title paperwork that was being illegally withheld. Eliar told her it was still not ready, but that "Your husband can take it out on me. ". If the law allowed that form of justice, I would gladly accept and let the ~$1600 they cheated me out of slide. Remember: 1) Camping World Shreveport/Bossier has an F- BBB rating 2) "Sleep on it". There will always be RVs, don't rush and get cheated 3) Make sure you have it EXPLICITLY in writing 4) They shouldn't charge YOU to clean the RV THEY are selling. Do not accept that charge 5) Extended warranty covers very little. Manufacturer will cover most/all so you are paying for nothing if you give them money for extended warranty 6) When they start the high-pressure stuff like Johnna does on extended warranty, walk out 7) They shouldn't charge YOU to clean the RV THEY are selling. Do not accept that charge 8) Hoses etc are ~$100 at Walmart. Don't accept their exorbitant charge for that either We found it online, traveled there and paid for it. What was to be a great experience was soured by these morally and ethically bankrupt swindlers. We will drive a bit further to Tyler, just to not have to see them again. 15MAY19 - We finally got the paperwork which was notarized on 19APR19. There is no excuse for their withholding this, especially after ripping us off extra. We picked up on 20APR, so it was supposedly ready the whole time. read more

Purchased a 43' Northpoint from Camping World Bossier City. No problems at all with the purchase and everything went smooth. I needed some warranty work done and coordinated with the shop based around a vacation so they could have it in the shop for 11 days. Upon picking up my camper the tech dismissed all of the items as works as should and fixed absolutely zero items listed for repair. The shop informed me they would send a tech out to the campsite to repair the items since I use the camper for work and its hard to miss work to handle this. After fighting for a month with the shop to get someone out a tech finally came and began fixing the items, which were all issues and not working as they should. The tech couldn't finish the items in the 1 day he was given and informed me he would come back to finish. Now a month later after the tech came I haven't been able to get him back and and received a message from the service manager Jessie Dodson stating that now due to loss of technicians they cant send anyone out to finish the repairs. I purchased the camper from this company and purchased every add on warranty option I could fully expecting more out of this company. Do not buy from this location and expect any quality service to be performed. read more

I don't even know where to start. We bought a new camper and while doing walk thru before buying it the salesman and I wrote up all the defects from factory. He assured me that he would get immediate approval for repairs and to take it on a trip and see if there is anything else wrong with it, that was they can all be fixed in one service trip. Great idea huh? Well sure enough we found the camper had a water leak under it and outside shower didn't work. We call bossier store and made them aware of the issues 2 weeks before we bring it in to save time just in case they need approval or order parts. They requested pictures of all issues and we emailed them all required paperwork to get ball rolling. And of course they have no idea of any of the issues that sales said they would handle for me. We bring it in 2 weeks later and for our service appointment and nothing at has been done. Wasted 2 weeks for nothing. Dropped it off and after 4 weeks of hearing nothing I start calling. No answer, left 6 voice mails, had receptions walk messages back, no call back. I have to take off work to actually go up there and find out what's happened in last 4 weeks. I get told yeah we found water leaks and it was a fitting that was installed wrong, fixed the broken stove, etc, but we're are still holding on approval of parts for the rest. Umm mind you this is a brand new camper that was like this from factory. Why they need approval is a joke. They say they are gonna email manufacturers and find out and call me in a day or 2. Week later still nothing, I call 4 times no answers, leave voice mails nothing. I have to take off again and find out wth is going on. Ohh I don't know, should have been approved by now I'll have to call the manufacturer for you and find out what's going on, they say they will let me know tomm. Well another week goes by, you think they called me? No. I go up there and I'm like look, screw it, I have a trip coming up in 2 weeks is is usable or not, I'll bring it back when ever you figure it out. Well now they say they are not sure if water leak is fixed or not or if anything has been fixed. Even though a week prior they told me all the things they could fix was and I could use it if needed. Now there telling me that they are still awaiting approval for repairs because they have to open up the covered bottom of camper and they need to make sure the repairs are covered. Of course they are just fix it!!!! By this time it's been 6 weeks! I tell them I'm coming in a week to get it, can you find out? They say they will pull my camper first thing tomm and do walk thru with a tech and see what's done and call you back. You think they called the next day to tell me what's going on? No. That was Monday I talked to them, no call Tuesday, wed, thurs, I call Thursday, no answer, leave messages nothing. I ask for service manager. No answer, leave voice mails no call back. I call Friday and raise hell to front desk girl. She gives me a new service assistant and he helps me. He's not sure what's going but says he understands and promises me he's going to get my camper pulled right now and do walk thru and will call me back in a bit. Guess what, no call back. This is Friday. There open on sat so I call. Lucky they actually answered! I said what happened to your promise to call me back? He was busy, but said that some of my parts are approved but some are not, what in the hell? It's a factory defect, why does it take 3 months to approve it? At this point I just need to know if it's usable. He said he's not sure. I said dude you were supposed to pull my camper, do walk thru and call me back, hell that was actually promised 7 days ago. He says he didn't say that and will do it now however. I did not use names because I don't want to throw them under bus because it may not be there fault totally. If they are over worked and it's actually managements fault for not hiring more service reps. But I work service too and if I tell a customer that I'm going to check on something and call them back I do it. I don't care if they call me and say he I got busy I'm going to do it tomm for sure. But they never call back and never do what they say they are going too. As of now (sat) I'm waiting to see if they call back. They still have my camper. I have no idea if it's useable, or not. I know I have paid a lot of money for it to sit on there lot for going on 2 months. I will never buy from them just from a service perspective. These campers break and stuff is cheaply made. If you buy a camper you will need service eventually. Why buy from a place that gives you a 3 month run around. Buyer beware read more

Looking for a good camper, found one. Put down $1000 on Fri. JULY 3rd. On Monday JULY 6th we notified our camper had been delivered to dealer. Went in on Monday evening to discuss details and do the finance paperwork. We kept asking questions about numbers and were told as soon as they had them that we would be notified. They set up an appointment for Tues JULY 7th. We came in and were taken directly to our new camper for a walk through. While doing the walk through an employee wanted my keys to install the hitch. I knew nothing about this especially since my truck already had a hitch. I advised him that I didnt even know what payments were. Once inside we had papers shoved in our face to sign and were told we couldn't get this price if we didnt go with them. The interest rate was way higher than what we were quoted and the finance guy got hostile when we questioned numbers. After some cross words amazingly they came back with a sweetheart of a deal with all sorts of free stuff. When I asked why we weren't given that first I got more hostility. Bottom line is they knew we were new to buying an RV and took us for ignorant on the subject but once we showed some back bone they got worse. Stay away! Go anywhere but here. Do not buy a camper from here! My family bought one and used it twice. Had to send it back for warranty work on the Led lights and it took them weeks to get the work done. When we got the camper back the slides on it wouldn't work so back down it went. They blamed my family saying that rats got into the wiring at the house. The slides were working when we took it down. Brought the camper back and it kept blowing a breaker along with the back slide being stuck. They came and got the camper to fix it and they just now are calling to let us know know it's done five months later. The staff is rude. Don't buy here read more

We are traveling cross country and needed our stabilizer secured. We started calling when they opened and were promised a call back. A call never came and we called 3 times. After 3 hours of travel we pulled in anyway and AFTER we could get someone to look at us we were told they wouldn't help us. Since we bought our trailer at a Camping World in our hometown we expected the same treatment we receive there. Didn't happen. If you are able to leave your vehicle for 2 weeks maybe you could get some service. I do not recommend this place at all. A simple call back would have made a big difference in this case. It's about customer service folks. read more

Bought a 5th wheel camper from this place when we went to look at the camper it had two tires on that were questionable I told the mechanic about the two tires he assured us they would be fine. The second time I pulled the camper both tires blew out when they did they damaged both fenders, a tire on each side blew out. I called the dealership to see if they would at least help us fix the fenders since I had told them about the tires being bad but of course they can't fix anything. So I see what kind of dealership they are now all they are worried about is making a sale and screw the customer once they pull off the lot. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would. Whatever anyone tells you there, DO NOT believe them. They are only interested in selling campers and they are NOT interested in their customers. My camper was delivered and I was not given a proper walk through and shown various things about my camper which was important to me since I had never owned one. It was delivered FILTHY DIRTY!! I brought this up to the sales representative and told the GM, Brian would not make it right. His solution was for me to drive it one hour to the dealership, where they'd take hours cleaning it. They had the camper for 5 days before it was delivered to me and it wasn't cleaned. I had not received paperwork for registration and when I called them they said I needed to get it inspected. I was NEVER told I needed to have my camper inspected. I had them deliver it because I didn't have a vehicle capable of pulling it. They are swindlers!! DO NOT give them your business!! I'd like to give them 0 stars. We love our camper. But these guys have terrible after service. They lied and said any Camping World can service our camper but we're told by a closer CW that's not true. The camper was not clean completely when we picked it up. The walk thru guy never mentioned anything about the ice maker. So we had to call another dealership to walk us thru how to connect the ice maker so it can run. The shower door started to fall apart. It's been a nightmare and we'll never recommend CW in Bossier City to anyone. Beware!! read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had. They changed the contract and added three items not discussed that totaled 21k. We were able to cancel the gap, tire and wheel, and ex warranty but not the paint seala nt that they added without our permission for 3k. We do not even know if they did it. The warranty was 15k. They are dishonest and have no ethics. We were not given the contract until the unit was delivered three days later. The gm will not even take our calls and will not discuss it. All he can do is draw circles where he says we signed. These items were not n the copy we signed. They changed the paperwork . We complained to corporate, but to no avail. Tried to schedule service with this CW location however no one picks up the phone in the service department. I guess after spending millions of dollars on adverts and magazines it never seems to amaze me how quickly they lose out obtaining a customer base because of simple poor customer service or simply answering the phone. Be warned! Read all the reviews on Camper World's corporate site. Never buy an RV from Camper World in Bossier City, La. per our experience! We bought a travel trailer on April 4, 2019. Our salesman was Rick and as we negotiated our purchase price, he assured us they would throw in $599.00 trailer hitch and take off $500.00 off the price. When closing on the deal with Mr. Meeks full verbal disclosure was not given. We did get a great walk thru instructions. We made a loan through through them. Once we got the papers from the bank we found that the charged us for the trailer hitch. We have gone back and spoke with them twice and made numerous phone calls to no avail. We made one last call today and finally some one called us back. They told us she would be cutting us a check and putting it in the mail today ( they had told us that before) and that the could not honor the $500.00 off the sale price the salesman agreed to as he no longer works there and they couldn't find where he wrote it down. Basically calling us liars. When we've called the folks we've talked with don't seem to know how to meet our needs or they just don't return our calls. We bought a motorhome from these folks and, I have to say, it was one of the smoothest, most pleasant purchases I have ever made! Our salesman, Billy, started the great experience. When we went back to sign papers, a table was set up for us to sit and be comfortable. Tyler, Jerry and then Vince, the finance manager, were incredibly helpful. We bought accessories at the store and the young lady working there was so happy and helpful. And, to top it off, a gentleman carried my purchases to the truck for me. Definitely a 5*+! WARNING! Stay away from Camping World!!! They do not stand behind their work or product! Like the other post, if I could give a negative rating I would! Camping World did some repair work on my camper and ran up the charges to $13,000 when they found out insurance was paying. Within less than 2 years, the side panel they replaced was rotted out along with my floor due to the fact their service technician did not properly seal the outside security light properly causing a water leak. They denied repairing by camper by saying the technician doesn't work there anymore and they only have a 12 month warranty. My rotten floor and side is due to their incompetent technician and they do not stand behind their work at all! The rotten side and floor was due to cumulative water leaking over a 21 month period, which what was obvious and backed up by their current technician's report. They got the money and didn't look back! I have some friends that have had great success with Bayou Outdoors in Bossier City with backing up their product and work, so I am taking all of my business to them!!! read more

edit: it is now august 22. we still do not have our unit. we were promised that it would be ready by labor day weekend as we have an outing planned with our adult children that we do not get to see very often. so we get a call today to inform us that some of the parts we need will not be in until mid-september!!!!! maybe because they were not ordered until a few weeks ago??? i do not know what is wrong with camping world of bossier, but my advice is to run, not walk, away from that place. if your unit needs service, do not, i repeat, do not use their service department. it is the worst run organization i have ever seen! pitiful does not even begin to describe the service. we are making payments on a unit that they have had since july 7 and we are still not able to use. i am beyond disgusted!!!!!!! i gave one star because zero is not an option. the service department is terrible. after being told for 2.5 weeks that they were waiting for approval to fix items that are under warranty, today i am told the warranty approval hasn't even been submitted yet. when i pointed this out to the service manager, he whined, made excuses, and then said we misunderstood. the service department (and manager) just cost camping world of bossier any chance of having any of our future business. sad thing is none of them seem to care. read more

I got the worst service ever here. I walked in to buy a new camper. The salesman introduced himself and started asking questions about our finances. I told him that We already had financing and were not interested in that. He continued to badger me with goofy questions like, "How would you rate your credit on a scale of one to ten?" I again told him I didn't want financing. He continued to harp. I finally said, "Idk! I guess about 7." He said, "Why isn't it a full 10?" I said, "Idk." I looked at my husband and asked, "Do you want to just go somewhere else?" He agreed sheepishly. The salesman made no attempt to gain our business. When we stood up, he rudely crumpled up the paper with notes he had taken and threw it in the trash. I drove down to Campers RV. We are very happy with the new Vibe bunk house extra lite by forest river that we bought there. I do not recommend this place! read more

My boss tried to purchase an RV for her ranch for the care taker to live in. The salesperson told me it looked like no one had even used the MH on the phone when I called to inquire the condition. When she got there (6 hour round trip drive) she called me and said it clearly had severe water damage: roof leak) but for the price and that it would not be driven much she would purchase. After the bank wired them money, I tried to get the paperwork sorted so I could get insurance for the MH. It was like pulling teeth to even get paperwork. When I received it ,it was incorrect several times. Thankfully my employer text the sales agent who after two weeks got it corrected. She was to pick up the MH last Saturday according to her scheduled appointment. Once she got there she told the women who greeted her (with her back to her and never turned around to look at her) that she had an appointment to pick up the MH. The employee stated that her sales person was busy with another appt. (she had just texted him that they would be there in 10 minutes) have a seat and we will get someone out to you. 15 minutes go by once again she asked for help: once again you can wait. This went on for roughly an hour with no acknowledging her or her appt. She stated to one person that she had a engagement at 8 Pm in Dallas and was on a time crush. She over heard the sales staff talk derogatory about her when she went near the sales office. They finally sent out a staff member to have her sign a sales agreement without seeing the MH again. She refused and things really went downhill from there: she stated, that they have her monies but refuse to give her the MH. There were heated words exchanged with the Dealership manager talking over her to the gentleman she was with, ignoring her entirely. he aggressively stated to them you can take the MH today or I can get you your monies back on Monday. She said all I want is the MH I paid for and made an appt. to pick up. He said ok and then stormed off. She followed behind him to what she thought was the MH. As he was walking so aggressively fast she asked him if he wanted her to follow him. He turned around and yelled, "No I don't". Shocked she went out to see were the MH was but it was nowhere in sight. It was waiting for the pick up appt. nor could it be seen on the lot. She drove back to Dallas (another 6 hour round trip). So all in all not buying this MH from this company cost her 12 hours of her time, wear and tear on her vehicle, insurance on the MH, many hours trying to just get the paperwork to get the vehicle insured and lack of basic customer service. After this we collectively read reviews on this company as a whole and found that this behavior is pare for the course. And, this company wants to IPO in the next couple of months? read more

Stopped by to get a washer -dryet combo. Small store but they had everything we needed. We were helped by Kyri Art. She was very pleasant to work with. Thank you for the excellent service. Would have given 5 stars if the store had been a little bigger. read more
