I haven't camped since I was a teen, so this place felt really modern! Our tent site was very…read moresimple, but at least there were wall dividers from neighbors for a little privacy. We had internet AND running water, which I wasn't even expecting. We struggled so bad, that our neighbors noticed and kindly came over to save our lives lol Everybody was so nice there, and didn't care that we were english. The Campsite's beach was covered in beautiful rocks, and we were even lucky enough to collect some natural pink mineral stones! It was truly a beautiful scenery for such a simple set up. We were eaten alive by a lot of bugs at first, but when we took a shower and used the camps tea tree oil soap and shampoo's, the bugs left us alone, so we really appreciated that! We were also surprised to find a microwave, pay-per-use washer and dryer, sinks, and lounge at the public cabin. Would have been better if the washer and dryer were larger to process bigger loads though. I also appreciated the high ceilings in the showers, which helped me not ever feel suffocated by the humidity from the water. Didn't appreciate how some of the campers would not clean their hair from the drain net though, that was gross lol But at least everything else was nice. For 30$/night there, it was a nice deal.

Our family of 5 went on a Zodiac Whale Watching Safari. We have 3 young children. The adventure is…read moresuitable for children 5 and up. I easily booked and paid online. Our meetup was at the Gaspé Harbour. Our guide Ralf was there waiting for us when we arrived a half hour early. He has a trailer in the parking lot clearly marked with his company logo. After a bathroom stop for the kids in the public bathrooms, Ralph suited us up in fisherman rain gear and life jackets. It was lightly raining during our trip. We were soaked thoroughly. I definitely recommended warm layers under the rain gear, in wool or fleece. We went in July and were definitely chilled from the wind, rain, and mist. A wool toque would be a good idea for temperatures under 20°c. Ralph is bi-lingual, extremely affable, informative, knowledgeable, and a coast guard so we were in excellent hands. The zodiac boat ride is exciting and thrilling. We saw plenty of harbour seals, and got extremely close to a group of humpback whales who let us get a good look at them. Grownups and kids alike had an excellent time and highly recommend it.

We visited…read moreGaspe, Perce, Forillon National Park and spend a whole day at the beach 3 minutes drive down the road. It's 10 minutes from grocery stores and Gaspe. The campground itself was very clean, had a great view and a little playground for the kids. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful, taking the time to teach a couple French phrases to the kids.

As far as trailer-RV type camping lots this one is by far wayyyy pleasant even tent camping. All…read moreyour neighbors are literally right there, which isn't so fun, but u can get a pretty darn nice spot with both water and electricity for a pretty good price with a beautiful view of the water. Not private at all but u can section off your spot for a little added buffer space. Very clean and accessible full service bathrooms. Super nice, helpful and chillax staff who appear to live on site (at least during camping season i presume). Nice and quiet save for two noisy neighbors who didn't seem to catch that EVERYONE ELSE was quiet even if they were still awake. Nice fire pits. A good stop off if you're doing that beautiful coastal drive along the 132. They say they normally don't accept 1 night reservations but they allowed us to stay as long as we accepted to only choose our site on arrival though we booked 1 week+ in advance. Would stay again if need be :)
