I stayed for 5 nights at this site as part of a three week tour. It is quite close to the beach and…read morewas a reasonably good location with access to the Basque region. HOWEVER..... it is not 300 meters from the beach, it is more like 1300 meters, which is not a major problem, but simply false advertising on their website. The resort are it is in is very very busy and although it creates a holiday atmosphere, it is constantly buzzing with life and NOISE. Music plays constantly throughout the day and night from the bars which are nearby and we found the noise on the site was totally unacceptable with young groups returning at 5 or 6 am, to continue their parties in at the site. My wife and children were woken several times during our stay. It is a vast site with many large groups of young people, they were mostly well behaved, but some had no idea about camping etiquette. The dishwashing facilities had no hot water and no lighting at night, their was hot water available from a tap nearby, they also locked the shower block at midnight! There was no toilet paper provided in the toilets either. There is plenty for the children to do, with a couple of playgrounds and an excercise area with fitness machines. One of the lasting memories I will have from this site will be on one evening when I went for a shower, only to find someone had actually taken a shit in there. I wouldnt recommend this site or return there. It was not until we moved to another site we realised just how noisy it was there.
