Not too crowded but not a ton of space. This is my view from my chair.

Driving in from Baton Rouge, we were VERY tired coming in. I was pleasantly surprised by how well kept this campground was. Lots of flowers and greenery all around. When I called about a reservation 8 weeks ago u was told when we got here we could just pick whatever spot we liked. Well, the owner informed us we were very wrong and that the person who helps us was only here for one day. I was not happy with that information but especially how he talked to us. Other than that he was friendly during the rest of the trip. They have a dog park and a nature trail. I did not use the bathhouse so no comment there. The trash was not picked up for two day- ANTS everywhere! Not trying to be negative here. My husband and I go to a lot of RV parks. This one was clean and well kept up. It felt more like place to stay for he night. Not for a week.

Very nice, quiet campground. We are heading home from New Orleans and just stayed one night. It was a nice surprise when we pulled in. We were given a nice spot in the back. The lots are gravel but very level. We did not use the bathhouse, so I can't comment on it. We arrived right at closing, but they didn't rush us so they could leave. They $32 included cable and the wifi was pretty fast for a campground. I would recommend this park unless you are looking for a pool or other activities.

Nestled along the back roads of Tishomingo County, this park feels like a second home. With hiking…read moretrails for every level of experience, there's truly something for everyone. The campground offers over 60 sites, plus six cozy cabins. Three of these are rustic stone cabins with two rooms each, while the other three are smaller, single-room cabins. Cabin Six has been beautifully updated with new floors, furniture, appliances, and a modern bathroom. For larger groups, the park also has three group camp cabins--each with 20 bunk beds and spacious bathrooms that include showers, toilets, and sinks. The park is full of history and adventure. Visitors can explore the Pioneer Cabin and its nearby waterfall, or cross the famous swinging bridge--a suspension bridge that stretches 25 feet over Bear Creek. On the other side, you'll find two trails perfect for bouldering, rock climbing, or simply wandering through the forest. Wildlife is abundant, with deer, squirrels, raccoons, and plenty of other critters calling the park home. There are three scenic pavilions for picnics or gatherings. Pavilion One has restrooms nearby, Pavilion Two overlooks Haines Lake, and Pavilion Three also offers a beautiful view of the water. The dining hall is available for weddings, reunions, meetings, and other special events. Fishing enthusiasts will love the three fishing spots: Haines Lake, a quiet pond behind the Pioneer Cabin, and Bear Creek beneath the swinging bridge. For families, the park includes two playgrounds, a sports field, and plenty of picnic tables with cast-iron grills scattered throughout. Outdoor fun continues with three disc golf courses designed for different skill levels. And when it's time to clean up, the campground features two bathhouses that are always kept tidy by the hardworking park staff. Tishomingo State Park is more than just a destination--it's a place where history, nature, and community come together.

We checked in after dark and the owner guides us into our site and was more than helpful and super friendly. We had 50amp, water and sewer all at our site. There are two ponds with a family of Geese that add to the charm of this place. Very quite. Most lots are about average size, with the spacing a little close on some. Ask for spot 5, it is the best one - your door opens to a large grassy area with no neighbor on that side. Lots of trees for shade and with the 100-degree temps we were thankful for that. Sites are gravel, but level and include a picnic table. Water pressure was good and we had 50 amp with sewer hookup. Long enough for our 37-foot RV and tow-dolly. There is no WiFi (would have gave 5 stars except for this) and our Verizon service had 3-bars at best but our hotspot worked okay. The laundry room is a small log cabin that is a little dusty, with only one of each machine, so don't leave a lot of laundry to do here. You pay on the honor system, they are not coin machines. There is a nice nature trail and they have a small pool, but only a couple of chairs around it. They accept both Good Sam and Pass Port American, but we paid the weekly rate of 23.58 a night. We stayed July 4-11, 2016. You are 7-miles south of Tupelo, birthplace of Elvis, if you are eating out go to Kermit's Outlaw Restaurant, great farm to table food.

Fishing on Bay Springs Lake is very popular and productive. There are fishing tournaments throughout the year, with the exception of winter. There was a state record 6 lb 4 oz chain pickerel at Bay Springs Lake in 1986, and Scott Wood snagged a 4.66-pound saugeye here in 2000. It isn't unusual to catch 20-30 fish a day. We always did the 'catch and release' after we had enough to feed us and our friend.
