I went to technical college 7 years ago for the same ceerification. I noticed a big difference the moment I talked to the adminstrators. Suzanne, Dave and of course my favorite Sam were all very helpful through out thee entire process. I felt like I wasn't just a student they were getting money for. They all work very hard and respond quickly to any question or email you send. The dental assistant instructors were very thorough precise motivating and competitive. I had one on one instructor student time with Fannie and Jackie which you don't get at a major technical college. We got to hear what the life responsibilities, benefits and how much fun you can have as a dental assistant. How to think quick on your feet and how to work as team. Everything and I mean everything that was taught I experienced on my externship. We didn't spend weeks on useless information like anatomy of the head and the nerves and all that. It was quick to the point what we needed to learn, how we needed to do it. Emphasis on impression and x-rays which are one of the most important things and fun stuff to keep the drive high. I did my externship got stellar reviews and went on to build my resume by volunteering to do an extended externship which I got hired before I completed the rest of my hours. I had such a blast asking other externs how much they paid for their school and how long it took them and to see the look on their face when they found out what school I went to and how awesome it was. I would recommend everybody to this school!
