I chose 5 companies based on high ratings and reviews from multiple sites (Google, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, NextDoor) and received estimates that had a wide range in price/cost. BTW- the scope of work was tree cutting and stump grinding. Here's why I decided to go with KnowTrees: 1. This company had the most consistent highest ratings across all of the sites. Many of the reviews were recent and from a wide range of individuals. BTW - YELP is hiding many of the 5 star review from many other customers. If you scroll to the bottom of the review, you can see the hidden reviews. 2. The owner, Matthew, is fantastic. 3. Most importantly to me.....the PRICE. His bid was very competitive and reasonable. Here's why I'm glad I used KnowTrees: 1. Great communication leading up to the work. 2. The crew very professional. 3. The work was done efficiently and carefully. 4. Clean up was fab. My next door neighbor was so pleased with the work they did (he was watching them from his porch) he wanted their contact info. I plan on using KnowTrees as our primary tree expert. They have specialized equipment to make the job easier and complete. I will always use them as my tree removal company. They clean up the entire area they work and leave the lot looking pristine. They are reasonably priced, friendly, and are always there when they say they will be there. Reliability is very important to me and these guys are the real deal. Shawn is great to talk with and very thorough in getting all the details down. The crew were all nice and very respectful - highly professional on everything from how to cut trees down, to asking me if I wanted to save certain trees that were in the way of others coming down. The crew was interested in our landscaping project, and I enjoyed talking with them and watching how they went about the job. They fit in taking a few more trees down that we decided upon at the very last minute, and easily worked it into their schedule. I also received several other tree service company suggestions. So, when I needed 3 pines removed from the backyard, I included Spiders among those I contacted regarding the project. After getting 5 estimates, I went with Spiders primarily because of: 1) their excellent references; 2) great reviews on Yelp and elsewhere; as well as 3) their reasonable pricing and comprehensive proposal (some of the other companies would not do stump grinding themselves and I find it a lot easier to deal with one company on any project). The job Spiders did was outstanding. They came in when scheduled and went right to work. Their crew was clearly very experienced and deftly handled the tricky job of carefully removing one of the pines which was only several feet from the house and had a number of large branches overhanging the roof. (One of the guys climbed up the tree then tied up and sawed off each branch, while the other was pulling it off on a rope.) Better yet, they were extremely fast and efficient, cutting up and chipping the debris just as others were taking them down piece-by-piece. The entire job took 1.5 hours from when they pulled up to when they left, which reduced the noise and disturbance time. They also did a thorough clean up and were kind enough to help me by removing some detritus from a previously felled tree. Based on my experience, if you have any tree care issues, I cannot recommend Spiders Tree Care Service more highly!

Bear Tree Service used a hydraulic lift to hoist the tree trimmer up into a 65' Silver Maple in my…read moreback yard. They trimmed a huge branch that hung over my neighbors' sunroom & another one that hung over my house plus a lot of smaller dead branches. The trimmer did that work while standing on a platform that he moved around through the upper branches of the Maple ~ WHILE MISSING THE CABLE HOLDING 2 UPPER TRUNKS OF THE TREE!! Guys on the ground spotted for him & cleaned up all the cuttings leaving my backyard clean. Great work wiith a difficult tree! FOR ALL THOSE REASONS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEAR TREE SERVICE!!
