UPDATE: I had some damage from a mower a year after the installation and Norman was awesome about the repair. Looks good as new. Great service. ------ I received a number of quotes and landed on using Campbell's Fence, Inc. Norman was very helpful in decisions on choice of materials, methods of connecting to other structures, etc. The team of workers took about a day and a half to complete my job. They were professional, courteous, left my yard clean and did an overall great job. Pricing was fair and the work was performed on time and to my high expectations. I am extremely particular and demanding... and this team exceeded my expectations. read more

Amazing work, great guys. Very responsive and professional. Would reach out for more work in the future!

Norman installed two fences on the side of our houses, a safety fence near some stairs in our backyard, and filled a gap between two of my neighbors' fences. He was highly communicative, and worked with me to select the right styles for our family, never pressuring us to go with the most expensive options. He also took care of the work quickly, and his pricing was consistent with what other companies were quoting. We'd definitely work with him again. read more

When it was time to install our fence, I did my due diligence and researched three companies to provide estimates - 1 of which was Campbell Fence. When Norm arrived, he walked us around the perimeter of our property discussing what our best options were and how he'd approach them. Once hired, he was in CONSTANT communication with us from beginning to end, he and his crew showed up on time and did a great job. If you hire Norm and crew, it will not take you long to realize that he takes pride in his work (a rarity these days). My brother is a retired electrician who valued his reputation and always went above and beyond for his customers. Norm clearly adopts this philosophy as well. We have one additional privacy fence that will need replacing in a couple years. Hands down we will be hiring Campbell fence to do this job. Thanks again Norm - Best of everything going forward! read more

Norman and his crew did an awesome job in our South Boston back yard replacing our fence. He came out in person (very quickly!) for a quote, unlike others who asked for videos. He gave me heads up on parking permits, calling Dig Safe, etc. to make sure everything went smoothly ahead of time. The other side of our fence had a post that was leaning and he took the initiative to dig down, figure out how to secure it, and didn't charge us. read more

I hired Campbell's Fence to replace about 120' of cedar fence. I quoted the work 4 ways so I was able to compare the different companies. What made me choose Campbell's: -competitive on price -they spent the most time reviewing the details of the job with me -great communication throughout The job was executed well, spent about 6 hours from start to finish. There was one small issue I found later that was corrected the next day. It's a small thing also, but they were great with my kids poking in and out and being curious. Highly recommend! read more

We needed a new and reliable fence because of a new dog. Norman and his team did an amazing job installing a classic looking white picket vinyl fence. From the beginning when we got the estimate to when the work was finally completed, the process was incredibly smooth. We were told exactly what would go into it. The price was very fair. The work and the product were excellent. Everything was done on time and clean up was perfect. No hidden costs and no surprises. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them to everyone. 5 Stars all around. Excellent communication, Excellent fence installation. Couldn't be happier. I called Campbell's fence on Friday evening and had a consultation quote scheduled on Monday. Norman came by and gave us a quote, and we did our due diligence by looking at quotes from a few other companies. Some quotes were lower, some were higher but we chose Campbell's Fence because of the communication, it just felt right. From the first call to the last time we communicated, Norman answered all our questions, comments, or concerns in a very timely manner. Then the installation crew came and they were great! very professional and friendly. The fence came out as good as it gets, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Norman and Campbell's Fence. read more

Norman and his team really helped us out. Our fence was older but was completely and unexpectedly damaged from an intense windstorm. We have a dog and my wife was 2 weeks from her due date so needless today we needed our fence replaced and we needed it done fast. We had a big job, fencing in roughly an acre of land with a combination of fence styles to keep our very large dog safely in and on our 200 year old antique house and property in Wakefield. We got 4 bids, and Campbell's was not only the most competitive, Norman was the most responsive of the four. We hired him, and we are very pleased with the results. He and his crew worked fast but meticulously, they were friendly and professional, and they completed the job on time and on budget. He had excellent suggestions to keep our costs down and still achieve the desired goals. The privacy fencing and arbor are perfect. We've had several folks on our street stop and tell us how wonderful it looks. Across the back and through the woods, the black chain link really does disappear into the tree line! Part of the work we had him do was installing temporary chain link between our garage and house and garage and neighbors fence. Once we build a new garage we'll be hiring him to come out and install more decorative cedar picket fencing. We would recommend him without reservation, and the peace of mind I have knowing my dog won't single mindedly chase a squirrel or chipmunk into the road is fantastic. Five stars! Update, turns out my most beloved giant dog, my perfect gentle scardy cat who won't nose open a door or step over the vacuum cord (because it's attached to the evil vacuum!), is a bit of an asshole. Apparently an entire acre of cleared land and woods isn't enough for him, and he started going under the chain link fence. We'd opted not to run a line at the bottom of the chain link, because of the reasons I just mentioned. We got in touch with Norman who responded immediately and came out to run that tension line so our giant fence monster couldn't go underneath and find the rotting carcasses of small animals the coyotes leave behind anymore. Still five stars! read more

They were very nice to work with and put up a vinyl fence in a difficult spot, very professional. They were very upfront with everything from cost to conditions and the fence went very quickly despite our rough soil and lots of tree roots. And when the company that was supposed to tear down our shed didn't come out in time Norman tore it down for an extra fee and things went very smoothly. A very good experience. read more

It's been a great experience working with Norman! He's the first who responded my call and showed up as scheduled for estimation. I called quite a few contractors. They were either slow or sloppy due to overbooking. By the time I had another contractor coming to do the estimation a month later after I called I've already committed with Norman. He's professional and super patient with me as I asked probably a dozen estimates due to shopping for different styles and having my neighbor's section involved. They did a superb job and paid attention to details. Norman and his team are efficient, hard working and professional. I'm a very happy customer working with a group of happy, efficient, professional and respectful young gentlemen! I also thank the winter storm that knocked down my old fence so I can get the new one. Extremely happy!! read more

Norman installed two fences for us in Jamaica Plain ~3 years ago. One a post and rail fence and another a solid privacy. Norman was patient throughout the process as we went back and forth on styles. It was really nice that he was part of the install crew (the work was not subbed out) and the quality of the installation was excellent. Both fences have held up really well and I am going back to him now for a new fence installation. read more

Norm was great. He came by to assess the area in person and went over, in detail, how construction would take place. He gave the best estimate for the job compared to other fence companies. It only took 2 days for install and we are more than happy with how it came out. I can imagine it was a challenging area to construct a fence given multiple difference surfaces (brick, asphalt, and concrete), the space constraints, and the property....but these guys did an excellent job! read more

Don't bother calling anyone else. Norman is extremely professional and patient. His communication skills are impeccable; he responded to my calls and messages almost immediately or if not within 24 hours. With many years of experience, his work is as good (probably better) than any other fence company around. He took good care of me and my family and he will do the same for you. Norman was very communicative, and had great ideas for how to style our fence. The project came in at budget, and at what was quoted. He measured, took notes, and made suggestions based on our needs (we have a 9 month old, and may want to get a dog). I originally was going to white vinyl, then changed my mind. Norman was patient, and came up with the suggestion of split rail and coated wire mesh. It's beautiful, durable, practical, and less common than a basic white vinyl fence. I would recommend him without a doubt! He's very detail-oriented, professional and a pleasure to work with. read more
