I can't thank this man and his staff enough for the care they put into their patients. My experience before, during and after have been nothing short of amazing. I did A LOT of research before both procedures and it was so easy to get lost comparing what I wanted vs what other women had. I went into my consults with Dr.Frank and simply said, I want to be natural. I wanted to not feel top heavy or not proportional, and I didn't want to look like I had a kangaroo pouch anymore. Before anyone says "diet and exercise", I did. And I gave birth, and some bodies just don't bounce back the same. I sit here 6 weeks post op from my abdominoplasty, a little swollen and still cussing every time I sneeze, but I will remain ever grateful for the professionalism, respect, and straight up kindness Dr. Frank and his staff displayed throughout my process. I'm a huge believer in "you get what you pay for", and Dr. Frank could charge more... and still be worth it. Thank you so much to all the staff. You guys are amazing.

Dr Hamilton caused a severe infection after he performed an amputation on my finger. He knew I had…read moreinfection during surgery but opted to not follow up for 3 weeks. He also left the bone too long prompting me to require amputation revision surgery as the finger kept bursting open and causing infection. Dr Hamiltons reception is incompetent and never passed on any of my calls or voicemails (apparently) and due to the severity of the infection my finger will never bend, move or be of any use to me, it is essentially useless and Hamilton has taken zero accountability. Dr Hamilton is a terrible surgeon and the fact he ruined my hand after a routine surgery I required in emergency, I definitely wouldn't trust him with anything cosmetic. However, it needs to be monitored, and Dr. Swain is the specialist that I work with. I have always known that he is a very good doctor. However, I did a presentation in November, 2010 when Dr. Swain was appointed the Cal Wenzel Family Foundation Chair in Hepatology, and I really learned how incredible this man`s credentials are. My experience of him as a doctor, is someone who listens, asks questions, is compassionate, knowledgable and is always honest. Over the years, as alternative health options have been cropping up, I have asked him all kinds of questions regarding my treatment, and he has handled my requests with patience and honesty. Further, in the rare occassion where I have had trouble, he has been accessible. He truly does care about the work that he does, and his patients. He always makes time. In addition to taking on patients, Dr. Swain also holds other responsibilities in his field. I have done my best to paraphrase some of his credentials for this review, and I have also included a link to his full credentials as well. - Acting Head for the Division of Gastroenterology, University of Calgary (U of C) and Alberta Health Services (AHS) - Professor of Medicine, Hepatologist and Clinician-Scientist at the U of C. - He has won many awards for teaching and research, including the U of C Watanabe Distinguished Achievement Award for Overall Excellence. - He is currently the Cal Wenzel Family Foundation Chair in Hepatology, and the Head of the Translational Research Core for the Snyder Institute, at the U of C Source: http://www.departmentofmedicine.com/documents/announcements/swain_head_announcement.pdf When I learned in November, 2010 that he is also holds so many other titles and roles within the medical community, I am just further astounded and impressed that he actually has the time to provide the level of care that he does. I feel extremely fortunate. For any patients who are researching Dr. Swain, be advised that if you have been placed under his care, you are a dealing with the cream of the crop. Not only for his credentials, but for his bedside manner as well.
