Iconic football stadium of the Wisconsin Badgers. They renovated the south end zone a few years ago and the stadium is an amazing experience. Be prepared to belt out "Sweet Caroline" and "Build Me Up Buttercup", and then "Jump Around," the now infamous tradition at the start of the 4th quarter. One of the best college stadiums in the country, and the many bars and tailgates surrounding the stadium are legendary. Awesome fans and a fun experience for any college fan!

Nice stadium in Madison, WI. There is a limit to bags/things you can bring in but it might be possible to bring in a bigger purse. They're not as strict as other venues, especially if you're not a student. The seats are bleacher-style metal and have no backs. You can purchase a seat pad with back which does help. The sizes of each seat though mean you're still sitting basically on your neighbor. Be prepared to get close. The food options are limited and more expensive than out on campus but not bad for college football options. Got nachos and a souvenir cup soda for $13 + tax. The marching band had a number of excellent performances, including 5th quarter. So happy we stuck around for that.

It's a beautiful venue to see a college football game. I sat on the 25-yard line in the lower bowl, and the sight views were excellent. The parking was easy to get to and it was only $5.00. The bus will drop you off at the stadium and drop you off at the parking lot. The food was also very good, but it is way overpriced. My bratwurst was $9, and my coffee and hot chocolate were $5.00 each. The parking lot and the concessions inside the stadium don't take cash, so don't forget a credit card.

Legendary college football venue. No beer (unless your in the club seats or the new field house end zone seats). Not a bad seat in the house. Be prepared to "Jump Around" after the third quarter, do the wave, and sing Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. Go Badgers!

Stadium from the outside - Many people, some wearing sports jerseys and hats, are gathered outside a large stadium with banners and flags.

Lifelong Badger fan, first time at Camp Randall. The energy at CR is amazing! Seating (4/5) The bleachers are, well, metal. But I've sat in the front row and I've sat in the very top row--there isn't a bad seat in the house. The band (5/5) is superb! They even came up to our section (D) and played for us during the 4th quarter. Bucky (5/5)--the best mascot in college sports! Bucky's entrance on an old fire truck is legendary. His push-ups for every point the Badgers have scored never fails to electrify the crowd. Jump around (5/5). Don't leave before the beginning of the fourth quarter! Jump around is a very cool 25-year tradition at Camp Randall--really fun. Concessions (4.5/5) Don't sleep on the pulled pork sandwich or the bratwurst (Johnsonville). Coffee shop is so cool it feels like Starbucks. Overall really good college football experience. Highly recommended!

We visited Camp Randall this past weekend for the Gopher vs. Badger game and had a great experience. We went with a friend that had seats on the 40 yard line and in the Buckingham Suite - both were amazing! I love how packed the stadium gets, you truly can feel the energy from the fans and students. There are some great traditions that keep the nostalgia for alum as well. The food we had in the Buckingham suite was delicious! There was great variety and everything was especially tasty. We loved the seasonal Pumpkin cheesecake, Mac & cheese and soft pretzels. The staff we encountered were also phenomenal. The bartender in the suite was especially wonderful, chatting with us and giving us snack suggestions! Overall, I would recommend coming to Camp Randall for a game - whether you're rooting for the home team or a visitor!

I mean "On Wisconsin", what else is there? Camp Randall is an iconic Big 10 stadium and just a fun place on College game day. There's really not a bad seat in the house to take in the game. As other reviews have noted the concourse, especially the lower level is a bit cramped. It's not terrible, but you will be elbow to elbow. The neighborhood surrounding Camp Randall is full of energy on game day and adds to the experience. Any review of Camp Randall wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the House of Pain and "Jump Around" at the conclusion of the third quarter. Don't miss it by being anywhere other than the bowl during this special time of the game. While you're at it, stick around after the game to catch yourself the 5th quarter. All around awesome game day experience...

I am a stadium tourist, and Camp Randall was my 97th stadium to watch a pro or college game at. On the positive side, the energy at the stadium's energy is awesome. The wave was epic, Jump Around was ridiculous (especially since Everlast from House of Pain was in the stadium), and the random appearances of brass players in various parts of the aisleways around the stadium was perfect. Conversely, virtually the entire stadium is bleechers with fixed fixed cushions for some season ticket holders. My wife and I purchased two end-of-aisle seats that ended up being next to a pair of portly season ticket holders. When I asked if he would be able to move down slightly, his response was "no, these are my seats", leaving barely enough room for one of us to sit and forcing us to find empty seats somewhere else. The concession tunnels were packed so tight with people that it was nearly impossible to move around. We routinely walk the entirety of the stadium concourses we visit, but gave up after a quarter of the first level because it was just too difficult to move. That said, the real issue was the fans. We sat near several season ticket holders who were amongst the rudest people I've been around at any sporting event...and I've been to a Raiders game in Oakland. The guy sitting behind me could not stop using the F word for every single play that didn't result in a 20-yard gain, and reiterated just how bad the QB was, as if he would have been far better. At least he managed to use various semi racist remarks when identifying the QB for the opposing team (the irony of which was that the QB was from Hawai'i). The guy sitting behind my wife had the same exquisite vocabulary, but also managed to put his knee in my wife's back continuously because she wore a Chicago Blackhawks hoodie and, to use his words, "you f*%#ing Illinois assholes need to get the f*%# out of Wisconsin". Never mind that my wife's sister is an alum of UW and we were rooting for the Badgers; being from Illinois somehow made us unworthy of being in attendance at his stadium. It was so bad that we finally moved to the concourse and just watched the game from the standing room areas. At a price of $68 per seat through the UW website, this was an absolute disappointment and a mistake I won't make again.

I went to Camp Randall for the UW Madison graduation. The stadium is clean and has a seating capacity of 80,000 seats. There are plenty of concession stands and has disability access. The vibes at Camp Randall during football games are absolutely amazing - it's a great experience. The stadium gets very packed and you can absolutely feel the energy. Parking can be tricky - you might have to park a few blocks away and walk 5-10 mins. I love this stadium! On Wisconsin! Overall rating: 10/10

What's better than a Badger Game, 5th Qtr, and 80,000 fans. How about ... a night game, but the light of the moon, by bright shining light, by the light of the moon ... if you want to be a badger.... And 50k of those fans day drinking for 12 hours. Actually, it was more mellow than normal; either the play of the teams or fans went home to nap/comatose.

I love live sporting events especially football (professional or collage). Hell, I've even been to a handful of Arena Football Games. I also frequent Brewer, Bucks and other UW Sporting Events. Camp Randall may not be the best venue in this group, but it is defiantly the most entertaining! Even if you are not a fanatic, like I am, you have to get to this stadium for a game. (Night Games are the most fun) Here are some things to plan for: Before the game -Find a Madison Area Bar that offers a shuttle bus to the stadium. They are usually cheep and will save you parking headaches and $. -The Badger Band will "warm up" and have a pep rally across the street at Union South. -Walk around the stadium and check out all the parties, food and festivities. Breese Terrace is fun for Fratlike parties and Regent Street is the best for the bar fan. During the game -20 min before kickoff the Band marches onto the field. -A few min. before the start of the game a cool video will play on the scoreboard and the team will come onto the field amongst all kind of fanfare! -The well trained student section will entertain you with many songs, chants, dances and activities. Watch for the wave, the slow wave, the fast wave and the double wave (in that order). Beware- Some chants will be R rated. -Near the end of halftime the band will play "Varsity" and everyone will sing along. -During the 3rd Quarter the Band will break up into small groups and serenade individual fan sections with fight songs throughout the stadium. -At the end of the 3rd Quarter you can cheer for the Student Section Scoreboard Race followed by the biggest tradition... the Jump Around! -in the 4th Quarter the Tubas will parade around the stadium. After the game -The 5th Quarter. The Band will take the field again (win or lose) and do another 20 mins of fun, crowd participation music and activities. -After leaving the stadium you may want to head to State Street for more parting (if you have any energy left)! I have been a season ticket holder since the early 1990's and I have never thought about non-renewal, even when I moved 2 1/2 hours away from Madison about 15 years ago. The entertainment is great, the stadium however is old! With that said, UW has done a great job adding on, and updating this venue over the years. The food is nothing great, even though they have tried to upgrade it many times. The seats are benches (you will get amount 12in to fit whatever size ass you have)! And there is very little legroom. Be prepared to get to know your neighbor! Wish I had more room, but you get used to it. Hope to see you there... Go Bucky!

As a graduate of UW I make a point to come back here each year and always have a blast rain or shine. We purchased covered seats last weekend since it was raining and many people had the same idea. Great stadium, energy, and crowd make this one of the highlights of my fall festivities! It's always worth the 4+ hour drive from the Twin Cities! Even though I'm not a student anymore it's still just as fun to sit outside of the student section with other alumni and Wisconsinites who love their Badger football.

Going through the security was quick and painless. The security alarm went off due up my metal wallet. So I took it out it was all good. We arrived about 30 minutes before the game started so we hung out near the concessions. We purchased a couple cold beverages. Pricing for the beer was just as expected, it was $11 each. Decided to get food at halftime. We got to it seats to tip. The seats were easy to get to, we were in section 222. The seats were comfortable and the view of center court was perfect. The fans were friendly as I was wearing Spartan gear. I thought I would get some chirping from the Badger faithful. At the half, the lines were long to get food. It took a while to get through but our luck, it seemed the other lines were moving much quicker. While we were halfway to the register we were informed they ran out of beer!!!! I think that is a sin to run out of beer in Wisconsin! We got our food, I got pizza and my friend got a brat. Prices were as expected , I forgot what I paid for both of us but it was about $23 total including a water. We arrived to our seats a little late as they started the 2nd half. Overall, I had a better experience than my Spartans as they lost by more than 20 points. I did hear about it from one fan I responded, "That's ok, I still feel good cause I'm a Chicago Bears fan!" And he quickly gave turned away and has nothing else to say. LOL. I had a good time. Slow concession lines and running out of beer (at least in our concession stand) is why i rated it a 4. I'm sure Tom Izzo would have given his experience a 1 star.

If they just get better tables, some high-tops, and offer quality menu items other than just your typical concession stand food, more families would opt to make this their dinner destination instead of a last-minute emergency/as-needed joint. There are tons of contests, challenges for prizes, and random entertainment like 80s cover bands and appearances by C-list celebrities. Your best bets for a fun night out is to go with either a family pack special or a Duck Blind ticket. The family-pack style tickets usually get you a reserved seat, a soda, a food item, and sometimes a promo item like a hat. It usually ends up being about $10-$15/person. The Duck Blind is the true draw, though. True, $40 sounds like a lot for a minor league ball ticket, but you get unlimited food and drinks (including a wide range of beer) through the seventh inning. If it's been a few years since your last Duck Blind experience, they've drastically improved seating and have expanded the food menu and setup. Stations are broken out around the ground floor to break up the lines, and many sides are now self-serve. There are several soda fountains throughout the space (including up in the grandstand), and you have your pick of 25+ beers. It's not just cheap-o lawnmower beers, either; there are IPAs, ciders, Great Dane brews, and more. Food choices now include things like BBQ pork, smoked chicken, and boneless wings in addition to your standard burger/brat/hot dog selection. Lines moved very quickly when we went and we were able to find seating upstairs. The sun gets a little hot, but it was nice to have a place to sit considering the length of most baseball games. Other ballpark fun to note: don't miss Maynard Mallard zip lining in to start the game, and cheer for at least five runs scored by the home team so you can trade in your ticket for a free scoop of Culver's custard.
