FoxFix Remodel and Repair

I hired FoxFix to repair some seams in the drywall in our condo. I liked Yevhenii (and his wife)…read morevery much when he came out and I felt like they'd do a great job. Indeed, they worked diligently and cleaned up each time they visited. The first round of work, both of them came; the second and third times, just Onya came to and she was super friendly and worked quietly while I worked in the office. I didn't paint the repairs immediately because of a lack of time, but once I did, I was disappointed with how the work turned out. I contacted Yevhenii again and sent him pictures. Communication was great and he came out to look and offered to either refund the money paid and for someone else to do the work or he (and his wife) would try again. I allowed them to come back and Onya worked for hours to redo most of the work. Again, carefully, quietly, and working with my schedule. Yevhenii came to check on things and also wanted to do some of the painting to see how the repairs looked. One area in one of the bathrooms looks pretty good but the kitchen and the other bathroom looks terrible, as evidenced by the pictures. I recontacted Yevhenii and he offered a $200 refund which I accepted. There was the original price of the job and, in consideration of the friendliness that the couple offered and the six visits they made, I felt was worth a $100 tip. In the end, I had drywall dust to clean up throughout the condo on multiple days and the results look amateurish. I'm still not sure why this is so hard to do and do reasonably well. I'm not looking for taj mahal-lile work but the pictures, I think, speak for themselves. I'm sure Yevhenii does great work, as evidenced by other positive reviews and pictures, but this project was a fail.

Yevhenii is a superstar. Had a number of odd jobs around the house - shutters that needed to be…read morere-attached, weather stripping that needed replaced, curtain rods to put up, and a hanging kitchen light that had to move. He came by to do an assessment, gave me a good best guess on how long it'd take, and set up a time to come back. I checked in with my wife to see how he was doing since I was at work, and she was very impressed by how much attention he was paying to little details and how diligent he was at getting things done quickly, but making sure they were done right. He's also a great guy with a great, friendly manner. Struggles a little with some more complicated or oddball English words and phrases, but his English was still very good and we had no trouble talking to each other. Great service, and he's our new go-to handyman.

I had been a long time client of the previous owner of this franchise, so when my deck needed…read morerepainting I contacted CertaPro for an estimate. The estimator was friendly and seemed proficient but the quote was a flat amount with no breakdown on supplies and labor. First red flag. I accepted the quote with my digital signature and heard nothing for a month. So I called and somehow he thought I had rejected the quote. Second red flag. He put me in touch with the scheduler and after several months (due to rainy weather) I was told to expect the painter in a week. The painter showed up. He only paints so could not replace one of the boards as per the contract. The estimator called me and said he didn't remember that a board needed to be replaced. I told him to read the contract. Third red flag. So finally the deck was pressure washed and the board was replaced. The painter used a paint sprayer and gave the deck a thin coating of paint. I can see paint chips that were incompletely removed from the pressure washing imbedded in the paint. It looks fine from a distance, but will need to be redone sooner than planned. So, no. I don't recommend.

CertaPro butchered my deck. The first group of people they sent to stain my new deck (Only 3 years…read moreold) pressure washed it so hard they broke boards and furred up everything else. I expected they would sand everything, but after I noticed they were taking off to spray before ANY prep work was done, I had to stop them before they did any more damage. They called back to the central office, packed up their stuff and left. Apparently these independent contractors weren't paid to do any prep. Which is absolutely insane. I had to show them on the contract where it said they were supposed to do prep. The second crew broke a step and my handrail. Then ran out of time because you can't paint in winter. So my deck was only partially painted (see photos), and very sloppily at that. They got paint on all the hardware after promising they'd tape it off. They promised I'd be the first job of the next year, but then wouldn't book me until June when they absolutely could have done it in March. They also pretended they were going to replace the lumber that they damaged, but they also hadn't done that because everyone knows you can't paint fresh lumber, so that should have happened well before they planned to paint. I had enough of it and ended up doing it myself because to remediate all of the damage they caused it would have cost thousands of dollars more. I had to replace at least a dozen boards. This is the WORST experience I've ever had with home improvement and I cannot imagine how anyone could have a good experience with them. Makes me wonder if the positive reviews are bots. No one at CertaPro had any idea what they were doing and when I actually had a conversation with the owner, I expected some level of compassion, but instead he was argumentative and he got sarcastic with me and said "if I would have brought a snow blower, maybe I could have done the job in January". It is unbelievable to me how a business this inept is able to continue. 0/10 - I wouldn't even recommend them to someone I don't like.

He clearly wanted my business and had been in his field for a long time. He knew his stuff. He was also very personable and it was clear he was an honest man. I mentioned some other items around my home I was looking to get fixed, such as painting two exterior doors, pressure washing the house, front walk, and an out building, deck repairs, and repairs to the siding of the home. Ric left, prepared me an electronic estimate with all items delineated, I signed the agreement, placed the deposit, and we were off! My mom lives in the home. She is elderly and can be a handful. Ric was able to take care of all of the work and also deal with my mom. My mom loved him! Ric and his team did exceptional work. His level of communication was perfect. He sent text messages with pictures, he prepared estimates and electronic forms for add on work he suggested and I approved. He didn't just ignore things he found; he communicated them to me, empowering me to make an informed decision. His workmanship is off the charts. He is perfect. I interviewed many different contractors and Ric made the best first impression. I honestly feel relieved that I didn't make a mistake and go with anyone else. I had a friend from high school who made a proposal also and I wanted to give him the business, but Ric just seemed like the right choice. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing work as good as All Decked Out did. Plus, I trust the owner. I trust him in my home and with my loved ones After they finished the project at this first property where my mom lives, I asked Ric to look into doing work at another property. That is how great I feel this company is. I did the leg work on contractor investigation here in mid to late 2025, so save yourself the time and go with All Decked Out. You'll be glad you did.
