Came back and tried our luck at two raffles, listened to the bluegrass band, and bought a couple cool fishing shirts and hats. Til next year!

Legacy wanted to…read morestart an all star cheer team and what better and luckier way to walk into a wonderful coach (coach K) and nearly 2 full teams. Unfortunately it seems they weren't ready as a business and very easily gave up on all these girls and the program not even a year into it. They were unorganized and the communication along the whole way was just bad. During these times of bad communication and lack of attention to detail we decided to let it go as it's a new program. Things take time to perfect and get right. Correct?..... Not to them apparently it was easier to just cancel the program and let all these kids and staff down without any sort of communication. Just one day out of the blue putting it on the coaches to relay the terrible news that ownership and management made. Slayden couldn't even show up to inform us. He didn't even want us to come to the coaches with problems only to him. Yet he couldn't even show up to tell us face to face. Apparently they didn't want to handle the finances?? Not only did we waste nearly a 1000 dollars on a uniform as well as our monthly tuition and all the other costs. But our girls who worked hard all year didn't even get a end of the year banquet like even the cheapest pop Warner teams get. The company and managers are a joke. I would honestly think twice before bringing your kids here.

I almost died from a heart attack and immediately went into seizures. I made it to the office where they called 911 who got an ambulance but took a long time and brushed the men off who had tried to rob me and kidnap me. The police laughed them off while I was in seizures and passing out- it was shameful. I'm embarrassed to say that I trusted them when they came towards me to offer me food they'd cooked. I'm currently in my car (unfortunately) and usually the OB vibe is peaceful and kind so I made the mistake of eating what they gave me. It was not a recreational drug, it was very serious and almost killed me. It was terrible. Now, I don't feel safe in OB because the police did nothing. When I got discharged from the ER too early for my heart condition after that, I was blamed, of course. The police should have arrested them for poisoning me and attempted robbery. But, when I went to get my car, they were still parked there. It happened at lunch but they feel confident with the police being kind to them to stay there. I'm attatching the only photo I have because someone blocked me from getting their back license plate. The men: 1 white and 1 black in overalls, in their 40's, cooking in the back of their truck on the grass with beach chairs and a woman named Saffron. All of them were aware that they were drugging me and it was an organized criminal attempt. Not only do I not feel safe knowing they're still around but they can still target other women and children. They are charming and come off as compassionate and considerate, feeding off other people's vulnerability. I know I made a mistake to take their offer but I never will do that again. Please do something if you see them around or hurting someone else (or, me!). It's a very serious situation and I'm very upset, concerned, and still not feeling well from the drug they gave me. The ambulance attendant gave me something to keep me from having a complete heart attack but the hospital let me go too early. However, she saved my life by doing that. What is up with the cops letting women be assaulted and doing nothing about it?! I'm pretty angry and it was degrading and demeaning to experience that and for them to act like I was at fault while these men watched on, laughing because the pigs were laughing at me while I was trying to stay alive from seizures. I was so grateful the ambulance made the police leave but they had no concern for anyone's safety. I don't even think those men are from OB, they are there to be predators. Steer clear of them and tell others if you see them around. I don't want this to be my first post in this group but the neighborhood should really take this seriously and perpetrators like them shouldn't be allowed. The children are of concern and this could have been a trafficking situation. Well, I survived and I thought I was going to die yesterday from their cruel intentions. But, I was mistreated by so-called authorities and humiliated while I was having a severe medical crisis and having been targeted. I am disappointed the Robb Field office didn't do anything about them, either because they give tickets to peaceful people who just need a place to rest but are allowing hard drugs and assaults to happen and giving those criminals a place to safely attack others. I definitely will not be going there again but I am disappointed because it's beautiful there and I don't think this should be allowed or tolerated at all. Please don't accept food, drinks or smoke from anyone you haven't known or who tries to convince you and charm you. I'm embarrassed I fell for that and trusted them, but I made a mistake and that still should not have happened to me or anyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Don't trust them. They shouldn't be in OB or anyplace where they can intend on taking advantage of unsuspecting people!!!

Their coaching staff is professional and supportive and the equipment is well maintained. The members, both social and athletic, are intelligent, fun, and supportive women (it is the oldest all women's rowing club in the world). They offer programs in for novice through advanced, including, learn to row clinics, and competitive and recreational programs for women and girls from 8th grade to 70+ years.

Yes, they do have some good programs. But they are loud and…read morerude - no respect for nature and no respect for the people who live nearby. The last (and I do mean last) function of theirs that I was at featured very loud music and yelling before 9AM on a Sunday morning. If you like loud party animals, this may be for you. 2 of 12 in 2016 - DONE!!!…read more Who runs 2 1/2 marathons in 6 days... I DO!!! I earned my "Concrete" Mermaid Athlete status. My friends always call me a mermaid because I love the waters. I thought the Mermaid Series 1/2 Marathon and the pink mermaid medal was fitting for my wall of medals. I had originally signed up for the 10k 6 miles because 6 days prior to this race I just ran the Run Surf City 1/2 Marathon and in 3 weeks will be running the San Diego 1/2 Marathon. Never ran a race back to back but said there's a first for everything so less than 12hrs before start I had asked to switch to a 1/2 marathon (since my body fully recovered quickly) - why not!!! THE EXPO. There really wasn't one. Just a bib pick up at Sports Authority. THE COURSE. The race is on a Saturday morning. After a long week and having to wake up early in the M was a brutal awakening. No PRs just #sexypace. Started out cold and foggy. But appreciate the cold because by mile 5 the sun will be beaming. It was around mission beach park. Parking was hideous. Think about it, the start line and finish line are a mile away from each other and you can either park at the finish line and walk an extra mile back to your car OR you can park near the finish line and walk a mile before running 13.1 miles. There's no shuttle service!!! Choose wisely. The path ways were basically the park paths and side walks. Expect some crowding, especially when you catch up to pacer groups and they block the pathway and you can't get around them. The course is relatively flat with itty bitty unnoticeable inclines around mile 2-4. Mile 5-7 goes by quickly. Mile 8 was a clustered path and you are using mile 10s water station as mile 8s water station - not a good idea because you have to cross the course and get into the ways of mile 10 runners to get a cup of water. Mile 8-9 probably the hardest miles of this course. And the worst part, the hammer head gel espresso flavor on the tables were the nastiest gels I ever had. I had the squirts the rest of the day.... terrible!!! The rest of the way to the finish line you are running on a side walk and by then many locals are entering the park so your sharing a side walk with a lot of others runners and park visitors. And at the end they are having the kid dash on the same path as the finish so as you are running the last 100 yards there's kids and people dashing towards you (that was kind of weird and very disorganized). But overall I'm happy I ran the 1/2. San Diego people are so friendly... A lot of people smiled at me on the course, had conversation with me, etc. cracking up when homegirl and I ran past a volunteer that looked grumpy and didn't want to be there and she said "smile girl" and the volunteer still just stared at us. Hilarious! Anyhow this was a fun run with great people. THE AFTERMATH. Several tents set up for small snacks and drinks and a lot of merchandise on sale. They were serving green bananas. You know how important potassium is after running 13.1 miles and they serve GREEN BANANAS, yuck. But I received my medal and my mermaid necklace... I finished my 1/2 marathon and beat my time from 6 days ago by 5 minutes with no injury. Next race in 3 weeks :)

It has some parking right next to the dog park, although it can get a little packed. They have a very nice double-gated entry area with separate Gates into the small and large dog park. There is a nice water fountain right in the entry area although there are none in the dog parks? They do have a few bone benches underneath a shade structure? It wouldn't provide much shade at noon time. There are poop bag dispensers all around the fence line and there are trash cans. They have some creative agility items as it is a bunch of stumps placed next to each other. The small dog park has a lot of grass and the big dog park is mostly dirt except around the edges. But it seems like a good group of people!

Well I have been to many Parks and Recreation Centers here in San Diego and I have to say this one…read moreis not bad lots of green Grassy Areas and the indoor Basketball court is pretty cool !! There is also a playground for kids . As I was walking around the rec center it had bathrooms and there is places for you to walk in and out . Doors were open and it's a park for everyone !! Good for walking or jogging or even just to relax !! Overall I just felt it was kind of far but if it was closer it would be my go to park . If I happen to be in the area I shall return and enjoy this park again !!
