I bought a Golden Retriever puppy here almost 2 years ago. The puppy came home with a bladder infection that we were told after they took are money there dogs get bladder infections from time to time. We took the puppy to the vet because she was peeing in her sleep. We were told by the vet it could be a bladder infection. So the vet tested and found it was a bladder infection but till they found an antibiotic it took a week or 2 and as she grew older they came back again and again. We contacted the breeder and she told us we could bring her back for another pup but by this point it seemed not an option for us. Another month or two went by and the vet said we should check her kidney levels and they were off slightly and now at almost 2 years she is in stage 2 kidney failure. Just a warning the Vet told us this is a bad line of bladder infections and the breeder has to know this so beware. read more

I have boarded my dogs here for a few years now. I've used the grooming services for a few additional years. I have never had a single issue, and my furkids are there frequently. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and the facility is CLEAN. Check a few kennels out like I did, and I'm sure you'll pick this one too. My dogs range from 13 pounds to 200 pounds.. They fit right in comfortably. My dogs walk right in with wagging tails. When I pick up my dogs and speak with the girls, they have picked up on each dogs' personality. I would never use another business for my dogs. read more

I place my girls (Annabell and Delilah) here with Stephanie and her team of caregivers every chance I get when I head to the beach for the weekend and they are all around excellent. I have been kenneling Annabell with them for 4+ years and recently Delilah which is my Pup. Every time I bring them in they are greeted by name. I found the kennel after doing a Google search and checking out their website; I figured I would give them a chance and have not regretted it one bit. Every time we go to the beach we use this kennel the hours are very convenient * * Open 7 days a week * * and the the price is great. To board 2 large dogs close to home is just as much as the places I stay sometimes, and require my girls to be spayed.. my choice not too (not required as boarded separately), since we camp when heading to the OC Car Show every year. I would definitely recommend Camp Canine Kennels to someone looking for a reasonable inexpensive place to board your animals. All other places I have located are 40+/day which is overly expensive considering if you are needing a place for an extended period of time its a big chunk of anyone's budget; especially anyone heading to the beach can imagine that trip cost alone. They are able to kennel them together which is great because it makes them feel at home that they have their buddy to cuddle with at night. The best part is I can call to check on them if I feel homesick from the girls, usually they are out in the big run playing and wrestling with each other. Stephanie verifies my girls yearly required shots are up to date every check-in. There is always someone available to drop off up until 730pm which is great especially if your someone who has a late start on the road. Best part they are open on SUNDAYS. I will again be sending them soon for their mini vacation while I enjoy mine. Unfortunately as the other bad reviews are based around kennel cough, dogs can still end up with it if not vaccinated weeks prior. I will stand by Stephanie and team any day with my dogs she treats them as if they are her own. I would highly recommend Camp Canine to anyone looking to board their pet for short or long term. My dog stayed with Stephanie and her staff for almost 3 months while I was overseas. She sent me email updates and photos while I was gone, and was great at answering any/all questions I had. When I returned, It was apparent that he was extremely well taken care of. He was so happy and clearly trusted and loved everyone at the kennel. One thing that stood out about the facility is how clean it always was! Stephanie is very professional and it's clear she has a true love of animals. She took care of and loved my dog as if he were her own. I am so thankful I found Camp Canine and will definitely use them again if needed. read more

If there was something less than one star, that would be my choice. Naturally, I realize that boarding my dog comes with risks. The first time I chose Camp Canine, I was told to bring my yellow lab Tanks vaccination records with me to verify that he had been given the 'kennel cough' vaccine. When I arrived a gentleman quickly looked over the papers without actually verifying this information, I thought nothing of it. Until I boarded Tank for the second time. When I returned to pick Tank up, the woman on duty informed me in a nonchalant way that a dog with kennel cough had come in and spread it through the kennel so if Tank has it, I should "take him to the vet" like it was no big deal. I am not sure about anyone else, but a visit to the vet can become quite pricey, quite quickly and not everyone can just handle a visit to the vet because the kennel where he was staying did not bother to verify this dogs vaccination record or current health for that matter. Fast forward two days later, Tank went to the vet this morning and does in fact have kennel cough. $475 later, I have arrived home with all of the medications he is required to take for the next few weeks to get better. Not to mention, Tank was supposed to be boarded in three weeks, now he has kennel cough, and I am not sure what I am supposed to do with him now all thank you to the neglectful actions of the Camp Canine kennel.
