Hey screw you and your fancy tableware! Nobody puts me in a…read morecorner... booth! It's a truck that sells food, it's a Food Truck, wandering it's way around Sydney and setting up for your nightly feed of America themed deliciousness. From burgers to cheese fries to Buffalo wings they make some of the best US of A style food I've had. They are very popular, so don't leave it too late, when they sell out they close and you miss out - the last time I went they were even running out of cans of drink :) I had the 'Mama DD's' burger and cheese fries - it was an effort to fit it all in. The taste was damn good and it was a perfect blend of fixing. My better half and the Pizza Philly Cheese steak - best cooked steak I've ever had in a sandwich or burger. This is a great Food Truck, and definitely worth tracking down.

SEE-YA-LATER lunch that was brought in! We get there 5 mins before it was due to open (12pm) and didn't have to wait too long for the burger, although I'm pretty glad there was a little wait because it took me that long to decide which delicious morsel I would tackle. I thought I knew what I wanted, but when I got to the counter and was asked what I would like, much like autopilot or a sixth sense, I blurted out "the double (Mamasita double)". This thing looked good out of the box, but the taste was great! A very simple combo, done right; Bun, double meat patties, lettuce, tomato and of course special sauce! A great tasting burger, made with simple ingredients, done right! Nice work guys! - Pro tip: Same goes for all of these magic trucks, get in early! - Cost: $14 - Location: Big Papa's Food Truck - Its a truck... It moves... Hit them up on FB for future locations.

Friday is one of the days in which they take over the Pitt Street precinct. Malaysian street food is on offer here reminiscent of the streets of Kuala Lumpur. The food is constantly changing and it's best to stay update with this guys via Facebook or Instagram. I came across one of their specials which was Nasi Lemak & Mamee Ayam Goreng. This was a combination of fragrant rice served with anchovies, peanuts, boiled egg, cucumber, and traditional chili paste. The flavourings were perfectly blended and perfect combination of crunchy and spicy. The dish was plentiful and the Fried Chicken was such a good standard it would satisfy the Colonel. The also serve tea's and Milo. I opted for Tae Tarik which was the right level of sweetness. Great little food offerings from this place and will definitely visit them again because the quality is really great and the guys are friendly too.

What's not to love? The roti canai, nasi lemak and other offerings are all well done but pale into significance compared to the crab experience.

Our 1st visit, we were seated by the manager (at least I think he was). I wasn't very hungry at the time and decided to go with something small, their avocado toast. I had no idea how generous their portions were! The grilled sourdough was smothered with perfectly ripe avocados, sprinkled with feta, pine nuts, pomegranates, and cherry tomatoes (really good tasty tomatoes). I've had avocado toast before but nothing compared to theirs. It was so good that I came back the next morning and ordered it again. On our 2nd visit, a different manager was on staff; not as friendly but nevertheless cordial. The avocado toast is not a fluke - it was yummy!! On our 3rd and last visit, I decided to change it up and ordered "The Brekkie". The manager from our 1st visit was back. He remembered how I liked my coffee prepared. Nice touch! Way to go with attention to detail and that smile! The Brekkie will leave you full and satisfied. The truffle mushroom is what makes that dish! Happy as Larry will leave you happy! At least, it did for me! I will never forgot their avocado toast and the cute manager! Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Now I…read moreagree with Hannah on this one: food trucks in Sydney have that habit of creeping up on you. However, you have some degree of control over this. Why? You can follow this food truck on twitter or head to their website to stay in the loop as to when Eat Art Truck will be coming to a festival near you. This black truck is in vogue. Tried the yummy food at the Sydney Opera House for the first time, only to find them at MasterChef LIVE a week later with three other food trucks. At around 1pm on a sunny Sunday afternoon, they get crowded. Be prepared to wait a bit. Although a little pricey ($12 for a lunch item) - the food is divine. Pity the bun came last in my BBQ Brisket. Love the asian salad and the meat pieces are rather generous in size. Due to this demand, it is a fair assumption to say that Eat Art Truck is here to stay. Oh, and if you don't have cash on you - EFTPOS facilities are available. Rejoice.
