The excavation job was not done correctly, and they left our yard an absolute mess. Fortunately, when we hired T & R Dependable Lawn Care they came in and fixed it quickly and at such a reasonable cost that we were able to do sod grass instead of seed. The excavation work was above and beyond, and all the finish work they did was perfect. Our grass is not fully rooted yet, but it already looks so much better than it did! Todd and his team were great - polite, professional and efficient. I can't say enough about what a difference there was in the two companies that did the same work and how much we are looking forward to our new lawn.

Signed a contract the begining of August and mailed a deposit check and was given a start date of…read moreSeptember 10th for installation. Extremely poor communication with most text messages not being replied to and not all phone calls being answered or returned. Finally droped off a bundle of 50 fence posts on September 22nd but was 6.5hrs later than was originally planned to stop by. Drove through my front lawn without asking and damaged my lawn and dropped the posts in my front yard that I had to move by hand by myself to prevent further lawn damage. Meanwhile I had a friend inquire about the cost of a bundle of posts late one evening and her text was replied to within 7 minutes. Since it was 25 days past the initial installation date and they would not give me another installation date but just more excuses as to why my job was delayed (machinery breakdown, install footage increase, fence damaged by car) I told them I expected a check for the difference of my deposit and the posts withing 30 days and to cancel my job. For making a deposit of just under $1,000 I expect comunication and updates, delays happen but you need to reply to someone who has already partially paid you. I have a 4 acre property and my front and back yards are not small. If I can backup a 16ft Uhaul box truck fully loaded with hay into my driveway that can fit 11 cars comfortably with room for a full bed extended cab pickup to turn around​ in it is not small. The roofing company had no truble backing in a dumpster bigger than their dump trailer either. I am not the one who needs to be a little more truthful. My fence installation was completed last Saturday by another contractor with excellent communication. Claims they would mail a check for what the difference between the deposit and the posts and delivery on October 5th ASAP. Let them know October 16th I had still not received a check and they said it would arrive "any day now". Let them know October 24th I had still not received a check and they did not even let me reply before threatening to delete and block my phone number. Contractor showed up unannounced at my house on October 26th and taped a check for the remaining balance to my front storm door.

I did hire them, however…read moreand this is what I got for it. - Charged $100 fee for a simple estimate that from the info I saw was free, BUT I agreed to it so that's on me -Got a $1500 estimate on a job to replace 8-10 cinder blocks and do a partial painting of my house and full painting of my retaining wall that was to take at least two days, 1 day for the blocks to be done and for the cement to dry before painting on day 2 -Insisted on a 1/3 deposit "for materials" but I had to buy the paint and rollers they would get the blocks and cement (wanted cash, I gave a check) -I explained that I had a trip coming up and when it was (about a week away) but wouldn't rush them to hurry the job -Received a call 2 days before I was leaving wanting to come the day before I leave to do the whole job, I said no (thinking of his own timeline est.) but the rep begged to allow it to happen, I allowed it -Next day I am expecting them early, Nope, by about 10:30 am I call to cancel that day because I wasn't comfortable with the timeline. The unprofessionalism I witnessed from this company on this day made me realize that I made a mistake hiring them. I had to call the boss to get this guy to call me and between picking up the help, getting his part of the supplies and his truck breaking down it was 3:29 pm before he finally called me to admit defeat and cancel the day -I did my trip, came back, called to inform him, no answer, texted him that I had returned...Read but no acknowledgement. Held my patience and called again the next week, no answer, texted him... Read but no acknowledgement. 4 attempts to communicate all ignored -2:33 pm next day I miss a call from him, I try to call him a couple hours later 2 times, you guessed it, no answer, so I texted, he texts back immediately that he was coming out the next day, I texted that he needed to call me first. Nothing -Now I was done with this company. I called the boss 1 hour later and told him so, he said he'd have the guy call me back and the guy did call back immediately. I canceled the job and requested my refund but now the guy is saying it was non-refundable. I called the boss back but now I am blocked -So, here it is: $1500 quote - 15% mil discount ($225) = $1275 CANCELED Price of 10 cinder blocks and 60 lbs. of cement about $40- 50 $500 deposit - $100 estimate fee = $400 They want 10X the price of materials for me canceling due to their unprofessional manner and nowhere in their contract is anything about nonrefundable deposits
