Over the years I have adopted many best friends from the Skagit Valley Humane Society and every…read moreexperience was a positive one. They are a no kill shelter. Since our area has a high adoption rate, this facility takes out of state dogs from over crowded shelters. What an incredible program! You can find dogs from California, Texas, all over. The new facility is clean, well setup and bright. The animals are all well cared for and the staff is very friendly. They were honest about any issues they had observed with the dogs & had temperament tested them, I really appreciated that. Coming into the shelter at an older age and with several (treatable) medical conditions, some shelters would have chosen to put the two old gals I recently adopted down, I am forever grateful Skagit did not. They are full of energy (I guess no one told them they are old) & joy. Every day is better with them as my companions. Thank you Skagit Humane Society staff and volunteers for all you do!

The front desk…read morestaff was really friendly and helpful -- they took their time and pointed me toward some sweet dogs that seemed like a good match. While I was there, I noticed a little pug and asked about her. They told me she wasn't available for adoption. I could see why -- her butt was prolapsed and there was liquid poop and blood all over her kennel. She was panting, whining, and frantically trying to get out. It was really upsetting to see. I spoke with the manager, who told me not to worry, that they had it under control and the dog was fine. I left feeling terrible. I came back a few days later and the poor pug was still in the same condition -- prolapse, bloody diarrhea, the whole thing. She still looked miserable. I'm really concerned that they don't have the animals' best interest at heart. A prolapsed rectum is painful, and there was clearly blood coming from her. I just don't understand how a person could look at that and think it's okay to leave her like that. This experience has me seriously questioning the level of care the animals are getting. I wanted to support the shelter, but I left feeling heartbroken and worried. I'm still looking to adopt a dog, but after this experience I don't feel confident adopting from here.

Lack of responsiveness during the planning process and general lack of professionalism. 2. Day of service was late (everything else was promptly on time) and when our event started our DJ ran off to re-park his car. He thought the music was going, but it had stopped entirely. First, Jaron was NOT responsive to my emails. We booked months in advance, filled out the questionnaire they sent us, and sent over certain music we wanted played. Audio Innovations would take days to weeks to get back to me, and usually only after I pinged them to see if they had gotten my emails. I further had a hard time scheduling a call to make sure Jaron and I were on the same page as he never responded with a time that would work for him. A few weeks before our wedding, I finally called him and did get through, and I talked him through what I wanted to be played during our ceremony. In talking to him, it was evident that he hadn't looked at our playlists or the questionnaire we had sent him, but he did look at everything while we were on the phone. I left that call thinking that he understood my expectations, but made myself available should he have more questions. The day before my wedding, I get an email late in the day asking me about my music preferences for the ceremony, despite this being clearly outlined in the questionnaire that we had filled out, the playlists we had sent, and the call we had. At this point, I'm rather angry because this is a question that could have been addressed much earlier, and in fact, was addressed in the information I had sent weeks ago. Taking a direct approach, I sent an email explaining how I was frustrated with my experience in working with Audio Innovations. In return, the morning of my wedding, I got an email from Jaron about how he was very busy and couldn't respond to my email since it is peak wedding season and they are a small business. I found this to be further irritating - you work in this industry just like other, similarly busy vendors. At this point, on the morning of my wedding, we were making back up DJ plans. He did show up, but he was late in getting to the venue. The wedding started at 6 pm, but no music started until 6:10, and then he left to go repark his car. He left the music running, but it had stopped long before he got back, leaving a long silent gap while my guests mingled. Luckily, that was the last of the problems, and he did play the correct music for our ceremony and kept the music going though our event. However, given all the other trouble, I'd recommend booking a different, more professional DJ service.

Long overdue - but I stand by my initial review. Working with Jaron and Audio Innovations was a…read morepleasure.
