Charming little fishing/tourist village on the site of an ancient city that fell into the sea…read moreduring an earthquake millenia ago. You can still see some of the old buildings poking up out of the water, and walk knee-high in the sea over the sunken road to some ruins.
There are jewellery shops and a long stretch of touristy restaurants along the waterside.
We stayed in the Mark Warner resort nearby, and jumped on a local bus for very little money to get here, but you can spend ££ to get here on a tourist tour. Worth a day or half of one if you are in the area.
