You can still see some of the old buildings poking up out of the water, and walk knee-high in the sea over the sunken road to some ruins. There are jewellery shops and a long stretch of touristy restaurants along the waterside. We stayed in the Mark Warner resort nearby, and jumped on a local bus for very little money to get here, but you can spend ££ to get here on a tourist tour. Worth a day or half of one if you are in the area.

During the summer it's…read morevery crowded and in winter overran by trash as the hotels which occupy this public land don't care at all about the place they make money of. There are taxi boats available at the far end of the beach which takes you to Bodrum center.

Jasmin Beach Apartments were very beautiful, and staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived…read more(even though it was 5 in the morning). The apartments were very spacious and contained all the kitchen and bathroom supplies we would need. Balcony was lovely and looked out onto the surrounding hills and other apartments which were all covered in beautiful flowers. The food was of a reasonable price and entertainment was excellent! There was plenty to see for all ages including fire acts, magic show, traditional Turkish dancers (in which the crowd were encouraged to participate), water aerobics, bbq and much more. The staff were always friendly and trying to get people into the spirit of things. Also, a plus would be they were all very good English speakers! Rooms were always tidy with fresh towels thanks to the cleaners. Furthermore when one of our party suffered a minor injury, medical staff at the resort were very helpful and sent us in the direction of the local doctors via free taxi service. She also searched the resort for us later to check how the appointment had went. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely go again.
