When I was a senior (2012) we had to do this HORRIBLE slut shaming program (go from table to table,…read morestick your hand in a bowl, random chance type activity deal) where individuals dressed as nurses (no idea if they actually were nurses) spoke to you like some terrible thing actually happened. I got the unlucky roll of the dice and my choices were something like "go to a party, got STD because of unprotected sex, go to table to see what STD you got, etc" and the whole thing was just really poorly handled. There's better ways to educate students about sex without totally shaming youth who are sexually active (I wasn't in high school), and/or trying to encourage gear mongering and scare tactics. For the academics: While it was very diverse, the actual class quality is very hit-or-miss, depending on who was the teacher. While I did have some great teachers here, I also had terrible teachers here. The dress code is ass backwards and insanely strict. Many faculty members also have very "old school" views when it comes to "how to adult" and dress code. I recall one time I was walking the halls with my friend and happened to mention a curse word. A teacher pulled me aside asking "Should young women really be talking like that?" I wanted so bad to give him a stern talking, but knew it'd only get me in more trouble. For the peers: They can claim "we don't tolerate bullies" all they want. I first hand witnessed at least three incidents involving bullying, where the administration (school admins and/or teachers) didn't lift a finger to stop things. The most vivid memory of this was when a girl nearly had an asthma attack because someone sprayed perfume in the classroom. She left the room, crying because of how badly it was affecting her (the class erupted into laughter, making fun of her), and the teacher sat behind the desk not bothering to do anything about it. Overcrowded? Most definitely. The only reason they haven't made a new school (besides possible lack of funding), is due to the fear of somehow breaking up their beloved football team. They definitely also put priority on them over all other clubs. The solution to the situation? Make a school, geared mostly towards art students (hell, don't even have a football team for the new school), that way, they don't break up their precious football team.

If you want to get bullied and have teachers and administrators do nothing about it this is the…read moreperfect place for you. And the only students that ever get in trouble are the ones who don't do sports.
