CAMBRiA Hotel LAX - Solid staff, convenient location, a few things to know before you book. I stayed at CAMBRiA Hotel LAX for an extended visit, and overall it was a comfortable, smooth experience with standout service from several staff members. My check-in experience was a little rocky at first, with some confusion like there were a few crossed wires early on, which can happen at any hotel. Thankfully, once these were clarified, the rest of my stay went smoothly and staff consistently delivered professional, attentive service. Parking is an open lot (no garage) with plenty of spaces, accessibility spots, and EV charging stations (not sure if it's active--just visible). Parking around the building is free if you're not staying overnight. Overnight parking is extra, but Choice Privilege members get a reduced rate of $15/night. (NOTE: Signup is free so why not, earn some points also for future free stays!) CAMBRiA uses HMR Shuttle Service for LAX runs to the hotel, on the return to LAX is their own shuttle bus. For Airport pickup: Call HMR Shuttle Service at +1 (714) 444-4473 once you land. Pickup is at the upper level (departures), at the Shuttle sign. In several experiences with HMR, the wait times ranged from 20-40 minutes, so build that into your plans. Going To LAX from CAMBRiA: You need to sign up the day before departure, at the front desk for your preferred shuttle time (NOT your flight time!). Recommend: 1.5-2 hours early for domestic, 2.5-3 hours for international. For those who have VERY EARLY flights (between 3:30-5:30 AM) are not free -- $15/adult, $10/child. Rooms were clean and comfortable. For those staying longer than three days, they offer light housekeep after your third night stay - which you need to request at Front Desk. NOTE: The ADA Accessible King Tower Room is surprisingly far from the elevators--it's a long walk. The Standard King Tower Rooms are much closer. Soundproofing is decent, but you may hear guests above you walking or (if unlucky) running. Coffee setup depends on the room type, the Tower Rooms = Keurig, Standard rooms = traditional coffee maker. Both come stocked with the basics. Breakfast Buffet is $22 and includes coffee/juice. Tip is additional. À la carte offers similar items but the drinks cost extra, so price ends up almost the same. À la carte is easier to take to-go, though they do allow you to take your buffet to-go to your room if you like. I wasn't automatically given receipts for my meal, so I just took photos for my own records. (HUGE Shoutout to Stephanie in dining--kind, efficient, and made mornings smoother!) With exception to the first days of hiccups, the Front Desk service was consistently great--Daryl deserves mention for being patient, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The GM handled a concern from earlier on, a month prior to my check-in, communicating clearly, and following through the entire length of my stay. Truly professional, steady, and responsive--exactly what you hope for from management. Overall, CAMBRiA Hotel LAX is a solid, comfortable airport hotel with genuinely good staff and a lot of conveniences if you know what to expect ahead of time. A few quirks (shuttle wait times, room location differences, breakfast pricing) but none were deal-breakers. Would stay again and would recommend to travelers who want comfort + convenience near LAX. Hotel: 4.5| Service: 4.5

They don't reset the rooms!

I would not recommend this one. The front desk reps both lack customer service skills. Also, upon checking in, the room was nasty (the floors weren't cleaned, and there were stains in places). When you request additional towels (of course, if the room is nasty, you'd want to place towels on the bathroom floor), they have an issue. The rooms also have a nasty odor, and overall, with so many hotels in the area, I would advise against this one. Don't let the lobby mislead you. When you get to the rooms, stains on the bed and towels (we received a towel with a red stain), the walls need a fresh paint job and overall, the customer service from Kiana and Jane (at the front desk) was subpar.

Easy check-in after a long night. A clean scent greeted us upon arriving in the hotel room. A lot of space for two people, at least for me. The bed and the pillows were really comfy and clean. I loved the lighting; hot shower; and that you can connect your music via the mirror (Bluetooth available). Parking was no hassle but you'd have to pay via a QR Code; may be an inconvenience to some. Only downside was no hand towels were provided (but I was too tired to ask) and more detailed cleaning in the shower could be done.

Miguel very rude and unprofessional.

I guess it was my fault for not checking the reviews before booking but oh my this has to be the worst hotel experience in my entire life. I booked a 2‑night stay through Expedia at this sorry excuse of a hotel and arrived late at night with family and an exhausted baby after driving from the Bay Area. The front desk agent, Miguel, claimed the system was down and repeatedly told us to wait. After 20+ minutes, when I asked for help checking in, Miguel became hostile and told us to find another hotel. When I tried to reason with him, he escalated the situation by calling the police. Once officers arrived, I learned the hotel had actually overbooked and given our room away. Miguel refused to issue a refund, saying it had to be handled through Expedia. I was lucky enough to find another hotel (Sonesta LAX) which Is a way better hotel anyway. So anyone trying to stay at this hotel in the future please be advised this might be your experience. So learn from my mistake and try to avoid this property and their unprofessional behavior and mishandling of reservations.

Enjoyed the 2 day stay , staff was pleasant and helpful. My only complain is that I had to pay for parking! Things I loved: - location -mirrors with blue tooth -fireplace outside near pool -pool -pets allowed with deposit -breakfast options

The best stay we could of asked for! Staff was amazing and so helpful. One particular young Hispanic lady working the breakfast gave us great advice on where to go and visit. Took her advice and we had the best mini vacation! We got engaged at this stay. Will stay at this hotel every visit to LA! Thank you all for such an amazing experience!

On 11/3/25 I checked in for business purposes. Nice hotel however the man in front desk "Daryl" was extremely rude & unprofessional. He made my check in experience horrible. Put a 200 deposit hold and didn't bother telling me until I asked what is that for! This man did not bother saying a word almost as if I was bothering him to check me in. Unacceptable and really sad to get this treatment at such establishment. Even gave me the wrong room as to what I booked. Went back down and he didn't apologize instead assigned another room as if nothing happened. I asked if he was ok because he didn't greet me nor thank me and was just nasty! Then in a very sarcastic tone said I'm great have a great one! This is who represents your hotel? He is giving you all a bad reputation. I will not be going back to this location. Oh and no body wash! Very important. Check out no one was there! I waited and waited and no one was present. I was hoping to speak to a manager but no one was visible nor answering the phone.

This stay the hotel was decked out in holiday decorations that helped make my stay-cation like home! They have a welcoming front desk that had a lovely woman who greeted me for my stay. Antonio my waiter today told me to be sure to come try breakfast tomorrow, that they've got a new delicious breakfast menu! Also, they have a full bar at the restaurant. I love that the hotel is a small boutique hotel that is a Hilton Tapestry property so you can use your Hilton Honors to book your reservation and earn HH points! The hotel conveniently located on PCH (Sepulveda) and Rosecrans which is just a quick 5 minute to the beach, great shopping and restaurants across the street at Manhattan Village and at The Point! There is a Top Golf just a few minutes away and LAX and 405 Freeway close! And you can even hop on a METRO bus just outside the hotel for a quick ride to Hermosa Beach or to Redondo Beach and Pier! The rooms are spacious. I prefer the garden view rooms and queen beds but this stay I had a residential side view and two beds. The room was quiet and very clean, and I love the crisp corners of the bedsheets tucked neatly. They have amazingly comfy beds and all of the team of employees were friendly (between the house keeping staff, front desk, Antonio at the restaurant and even Sergio (goodness I think that was his name) at the valet! I love when the hotel makes you feel at home and greet you each time you're coming or going. Definitely makes you feel special. This is 7min away from LAX and they provide a shuttle every 30 min. It can get packed VERY quickly (each person fighting for a spot) but it's close enough for an easy uber/lyft. Everyone was greeted right away. People felt approachable and kind. Inside the room (I think ours was the king, 2nd floor) was spacious enough and felt clean. A little stuffy and weird smell coming in but thankfully, they have a window you can open and let in fresh air (issue resolved), our window opened up to the back alley, but that's not something we care about too much. It was quiet. I barely heard any noise. The tv had a few options but not any app options like Netflix etc, we weren't able to mirror anything from Apple products. Bed was comfortable, easy to sleep. The room was chilly mid November but we like cold so we didn't bother to turn on the thermostat so I can't speak on that. It's nothing fancy fancy, but again if you are looking for a clean place to be that near LAX this is not a bad spot for the price. Whether just over night or a few days just to have a place to sleep However, I wouldn't say that you should get the breakfast included because it's nothing special and there is a grocery store and Starbucks right across the street and easy walk. I think only a fridge no microwave in the room That is another plus, there is a ton of fast food nearby! We walked easily. We felt safe enough to walk around Parking looks limited and from previous reviews looks like it could get pricey I wish they had those things you place your luggage on, I don't like putting it on the floor. They have a full body length mirror so that's nice if the bathroom is occupied

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and professional, and the lobby looked recently updated, which I appreciated. The gym, pool, and outdoor eating areas were a vibe, and the grounds were beautiful and very family-friendly. Parking was plentiful, and the property felt safe, quiet, and somewhat tucked away. The food service staff stood out as well--very personable and well-organized. One team member even walked around to tables checking in with guests, which was a nice touch. The beach is about a 27-minute walk each way. I walked there and back and didn't find it bad at all. Checkout was easy, my late checkout request was honored, and the staff went out of their way to give me a list of tourist attractions in San Diego since I was heading there after checkout. Accessibility & Cons: The parking spaces were tight, especially near Building #3. The pathway between the parking lot and the sidewalk was uneven and steep, which isn't ideal for guests with mobility challenges. We booked a one-bedroom loft, and while the room itself was really nice and unique, all of the lofts are on the second floor and there are no elevators. Traveling with my mom, who has mobility limitations, made this a challenge. Also, the room had a noticeable odor--hard to describe, but similar to a basement smell--which I wasn't a fan of. Overall, this was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again. I'd also recommend checking out the loft rooms--they're very cool--just be mindful of the accessibility limitations.

My room was in the Tower several stories up, this required a short walk to an elevator that was not initially easily found, and I'd suggest more intuitive signage, but it was found, and the tower design minimizes hall traffic outside of rooms. I was solo, and had no issue with the small bathroom counter, but I was also prepared for a cruise ship so I had a hanging shaving Kit so counter space needs were minimized. The room was standard, but I also packed a white noise generator so external noise would not be an issue. Bedding was sufficient, but I'd request on checkin for an additional blanket for both warmth and weight. The breakfast dinning room was large, and the morning offerings included Yogurts, Breads with a Toaster, Cereals and Milk, Coffee and Dispenser Juices, Cooked Liquid Eggs, and Breakfast Meats. The buffet was well maintained by staff, and though crowded as it opened, was less packed as the service progressed. There is also a microwave in this space.
