I bet, way back in the 1700's this green was the cat's pajamas. I bet that back then everyone went there and sold things and bought things and had meetings and played Wii and constructed spaceships. Nowadays, the green is pretty quiet. Especially in these chilly winter months.
It's a nice green space, but nothing amazing. It's got a decent little playground for the wee ones (or for the big ones, like myself who prefer not to grow up). A few trees, some grass, buildings on one side, busy roads on two others.
I don't live close enough to this place to have developed a strong attachment to it, so I had to superglue myself to the ground. I still didn't feel waves of golden energy coming forth. This park-like area isn't particularly an oasis of calm due to the busy bordering roads, but it's grass and trees, so by the law of Logic of the Great Hannahism, it's a good place. read more
