Sharon charges more than most here in Elk Grove. She gave me the worst hair cut of my life. Very old fashioned cut and styling. Works so fast you don't know what's happening. I wanted bob with long layers, no bangs. Received a shag (a la Mrs Brady), crazy disconnected, uneven layers, long but deep bangs. I've had 2 cuts to fix it and now have short hair. Her facials are so relaxing and comfortable that I have fallen asleep when getting one. I've taken a makeup lesson from her in the past. TRUST ME. I told her what I wanted to do with my hair, which was long and in need of a trim and some layers. I went into the salon on 11/15/2018- to get a microdermabrasion treatment. I worked a long day and had no idea the treat I had in store. Tammy greeted me with a friendly smile and showed me where to go to have my treatment done. The room was screaming ambiance! and smelled like heaven. This was just what the doctor ordered. I laid on a heating pad -- that felt amazing. Tammy goes above and beynd your normal treatment. She massaged my hands, my arms, my neck, my head--- it was so very relaxing. THRIFT STORE... That's what I thought when I first walked in. What a mess. I think there should be an industry standard of what a "Salon and Spa" is. My regular stylist moved out of town. I was in need of a haircut and thought I would try this place. I called for an appointment and no one answered the phone, so I had to leave a message (first red flag). So, let me start with the environment. The place is a disaster; messy, dirty, disorganized, junk throw all over the place and very out dated. Now the service: Customer service was non existent. I was actually ignored by the receptionist and had to address her by saying "do you work here?, I have an appointment". I was the only person in the place - give me a break. My hairdresser experience: Finally the hairdresser came out to greet me. I wanted to run away. She looked like she just got back from a camping trip. I was really worried at that point. Being the cordial person I am, I followed her & I sat down and let the fun begin. She asked me what I wanted... No joke "So, what do you want?". I said "A HAIRCUT!!!"... I told her what I was hoping for in the way of a style. Now, when I get my haircut by a new hairdresser they always ask questions. "Is your hair color treated, what styling method do you use, do you wash everyday", ETC. At Camarillo - nothing. She walked out of the room, yelled "YOU CAN SIT BY THE SINK & I'LL WASH YOU". I was thinking... where the hell did you go? It was crazy. She cut my hair, barely styled it and I was done in 20 minutes.. from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out. My hair looked like crap. Now, when I am charged $50.00 for a cut and blow dry (not including gratuity) it's usually in an semi upscale salon, good customer service, a consultation and recommendations. This was an upscale price for a high speed cut in a no frills salon... I certainly wouldn't call it a salon / spa. On the positive side: When I washed and dried my hair, it looked good.... Will I go back or recommend this place; NOPE.... They really need a salon management team in there. TABITHA'S SALON TAKEOVER... they need help from start to finish.... read more
