She has been taking our photos for almost ten years and I can't imagine anyone else documenting the most important movements in our lives so flawlessly. I found Camarie when my husband and I were first dating. We did our first shoot with her and were instantly in love with her work. She helped pose us while making sure we looked natural, and captured candid shots of us so perfectly. Fast forward and she has done our engagement photos, wedding photos, maternity, newborn sessions, one year photos, and our family photos every year. After every session with her I get told by everyone who sees them how beautiful our photos are and people are always asking who my photographer is. I first booked Camarie in 2020 for my daughters newborn shoot. Went to her at home studio and she was so well equipped with everything! I didn't need to stress about what she was going to wear or come prepared or anything. She was incredibly gentle and so good with our newborn. Our photos turned out so adorable that it was a no brained to do another milestone photo at one year with Camarie. At one we did a shoot at a local spot and my daughter did awful, would not stop crying but Camarie managed to get some shots we were able to use for her birthday and the rest are memories. She was incredibly patient with us during the entire shoot. We were actually one of her last shoots before she moved but were able to book her for a family/maternity shoot while she had prior committed events in the upcoming months. And then we were able to do another shoot at our house when my son was born. Her pricing, patience and photos are so worth it! She is so sweet too! I have used Camarie Photography for nearly all of my professional photo needs. She has done a mommy and daughter session for me. She has done our family Christmas photos for many years. She even did both of my maternity photos. I keep going back to her because my pictures always look great. She has a great eye for knowing just how to get the right shot and the right angles. I absolutely love my baby bump and first born photos from Camarie!! I've posted some for reference. Everyone asked who did my photos because they were so beautiful. Camarie is very professional and very understanding to my odd request as I wanted to make sure I didn't look like a blimp on my photos and she made sure to capture the most beautiful parts of being with child. Mind you I felt like a pig in a blanket in my dress but she kept complementing me and encouraging me to loosen up during our shoot. The first born shoot, I didn't want to be in the pics because I felt out of it, I'm sure due to hormones adjusting after giving birth (not feeling pretty, feeling fat & just out of it) she didn't push at all and did a stellar job of capturing my baby. I hired Camarie for my daughter's newborn pictures and she did an amazing job. She had tons of props and was open to all my ideas. Since then, we have hired her for 3 month and family pictures. Camarie is a wonderful person and although other reviews mock her lack of children, she has a way with children. My daughter is always very calm when Camarie holds her. My son loves her and asks to see her and her sweet well-mannered pups quite frequently. Her home studio is clean and perfectly spaced for the photos that she does at home. We opted for in-home for the first set, at her studio for the second and at a local park for the third. All of the settings were perfect. Camarie has a eye for the light and her pictures showcase her talent. Personality wise, Camarie is an absolute doll and always polite and going out of her way to to ensure that you will be happy with her work. I wanted to address some things that Lexii S. brought up in her misguided review as well. 1. Camarie's home is stunning and does NOT smell like dog poop. To the point, that after our session, I begged to see her kitchen as it has to be as lovely as the rest of the house. 2. She is one of the most compassionate people that I have ever encountered and has a heart of gold. 3. As addressed before, she is great with siblings. Maybe the two year old was still handling the emotions of a brand new sibling and did not want to cooperate. You can lead a horse to water, but can't make them drink. 4. The swaddles are literally pantyhose holding the newborn in a position that they have spent the last 8 months in. They are not tight. 5. Camarie would also NEVER argue back with someone about pacifier usage or if the infant is hungry. In fact, she encourages ensuring that the child is well fed and taken care of. I will not stand for this amazing person and talented photographer to be trashed by someone who is obviously lying. Hire her, she's worth it and more. read more

Went to Camarie for my newborn photos and this was the most special and beautiful experience I have ever had. She has every single part of the process down, to the lavender essential oils, the extra diapers and changing table, and the perfect swaddle technique. My husband and I just love Camarie! She has such a great eye for taking beautiful pictures. Camarie was personally referred to us by the owner of our wedding venue, thank goodness for that! For our first meeting she made us feel so comfortable even though I went to the wrong Starbucks. She didn't get angry or frustrated and met us where we were instead of having us come find her. We were so comfortable with her we even spoke about Germany because she mentioned that she was going and we had previously been. We just really hit it off so well that I knew I wanted her to take our wedding photos. We set up the bookings for our engagement session and wedding date, and went from there. When we met for our engagement session she had absolutely no problem trekking all the way to down town LA for us. As a compromise to my husband I let him pick the engagement photo locations...which was a blessing because Camarie got some amazing shots of us with a beautiful background. I had tossed out the idea to take our photos at the Old Orange Courthouse on an earlier occasion so Camarie suggested we go there. If I could give her a lower rating I would! Worst experience of my life! I went to go and do newborn photos with Camarie when my baby was two weeks old. First off her studio is at her home which is fine but her home is a disaster and smells like dog poop. Her studio is upstairs in a tiny room where you feel claustrophobic. She was not compassionate towards my screaming two-year-old and did not know how to handle siblings so I never got a picture of both my boys which is so sad! One of the most important pictures that we wanted was a picture of our 11-year-old German Shepherd with the baby and once I saw the picture after she sent me all the pictures, the picture was blurry end it was the one picture that I told her I needed to be perfect! What really got me was that when my newborn was crying and I told her that he wasn't comfortable because he was swaddled too tight... He was in three tight swaddles... She disagreed with me and said if she takes off a swaddle to change him or anything like that she would have to reschedule with me because she didn't have time to re-swaddle him. This was at 11:30 and she told me her next appointment wasn't until 3 PM. I told her OK he might need he might need a bottle instead and she disagreed with me again. Once he kept crying she said OK get me a bottle and she fed him. She wouldn't give me my own baby back and when I asked for him back she still didn't give him back to me. I should've left to right then and there because she was rocking him back-and-forth so he got gas from the bottle and he had an upset stomach and was fussy for two days after! She has no kids herself so she didn't know how to feed him. When she asked if I had a pacifier I told her that I am not using a pacifier and she said well this is a time for a pacifier! Did not make me feel good at all! She took pictures of me and made me look like a blimp since she took pictures of my belly and up... Who wants to be taking pictures of their whole body right after they give birth to a baby?! I would never recommend her to my worst enemy! The ceremony pictures are also excellent. There were lots of little kids in the wedding and pictures were taken of all of them as they were walking down the aisle. This is important because the bride is not able to see these little ones as it is happening. Camarie and her assistant did not miss a thing. I told our daughter that it is very important to choose an excellent photographer for your wedding because the pictures are something you will treasure for a lifetime.
