The Church of Saint Anthony of Lisbon is a Roman Catholic church that was reconstructed in 1767 on…read morethe site of the house in which Saint Anthony was born circa 1195. The church is open daily for masses and has no entrance fee.
My tour guide drove me to this church. The exterior of the church looks more like a house than a church, but it is beautiful nonetheless. It shows an image of the saint, who is Lisbon's most popular saint, as well as a grand staircase leading inside. I did not get to tour the interior, but I heard that it has a crypt, relics, vaulted ceiling, and paintings.
