They are great with walk ins and unlike most Drs who take Medicare or Medi-cal they don't book appointments 3 months out. Since COVID most clinics are over booked and make you feel like a number. My Dad I is his patient for years now with a hiccup due to insurance issue. My Dad has Alzheimer's / Dementia and his staff is so good and warm to all the seniors and i am appreciative of this. The phone lines which I have read in some reviews are an issue. I just tried to call them during business hours after 3pm on a Wednesday and said customer unavailable, this is an issue. I have had a few issues with referrals, but this is not only medi-cal Dr who have this problem. So, unfortunately if you are disabled and on Medi-cal, this is an issue. But, I am very happy with Dr. Vue and his Staff.

Pick-up time arrived and no transportation was in sight. We had to make emergency arrangements which caused anxiety to our client and to the caregiver who was caring for him. Dialysis is a life-saving treatment that must be done on schedule, and Issac really let us down by not showing up for this commitment.

He said the driver could be hostile and would talk over him rather than communicate respectfully. My father also noticed the driver frequently having tense phone conversations, apparently with a woman, including arguments and profanity. From what he could hear, some conversations appeared to involve personal relationship or possible infidelity issues, although he obviously cannot know the full circumstances. The repeated personal arguments while working made him uncomfortable and seemed inappropriate around passengers. He also recalls the driver saying that if passengers aren't ready on time, he will leave and they will have to wait for another driver or potentially miss their appointment. I understand transportation services have schedules and passengers are expected to be ready, but the way it was communicated concerned my father, especially considering that medical transportation serves elderly and potentially vulnerable passengers. The driver also spoke as though he had influence with management and that management was "cool with him." We cannot verify that claim, but it made us question whether a complaint would be taken seriously. Medical transportation requires patience, professionalism, and good judgment. Personal arguments, profanity, and hostile communication should not make passengers uncomfortable while they're depending on someone to get them safely to medical appointments. I hope America West Transportation and Habitat Health review the conduct of this driver and make sure passenger safety and dignity remain the priority.

When the patient coordinator was informed of issues effecting patients the issues were resolved and America West stands out in patient care. Drivers are professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. Richard, who works in administration listens and addresses any issues immediately. Although in the last 2 years there doesn't seem to be anything negative. Drivers like Anthony E, Rapael, Brianna are just three who stand out. There are many others but my old memory fails me today. My previous review from a few years ago highlighted my frustration. Unlike most businesses America West heard patients AND solved any complains reported. This company has the best drivers in the business. I use America West often and I give them a 10 out of five stars.

The last month I didn't know my mom had progressive dementia along with other issues that have placed her back into another skilled nursing facility. What happened to really upset me was receiving a certified letter addressed to her with the $150.00 past due notice. To me this is ridiculous waste to send to people on Medicare and who are disabled. I spoke to a person in the business office explaining my mom's condition, my disappointment and to direct ALL COMMUNICATION TO ME. I thought it was pretty clear that day and I wouldn't get a call until the next month for payment. I got a call one week later asking where to send the statement. I don't like writing reviews like this one but this goes beyond what I consider poor business practice and a waste of facility money.

Not only was his rehabilitation very successful - going from transferring only by lift to minor assistance and assisted walking - but he genuinely appreciated the staff who I believe made a big difference in his ability to regain more independence. I would like to thank a number of people and I am sure I will miss some but most everyone was helpful and encouraging for him. Tim made him feel welcome from his very first day and always followed up any issues. Raul who handled his PT was extremely encouraging for him and made a huge difference in his daily progress to walk. Miriam and Sandy who handled his OT were equally encouraging and always came up with different ways to do things. Ana brought him coffee and uplifted his spirits each morning. Manjit and Keziah handled his medications and were very kind. Hanah and Theresa were two of many CNA's who were very helpful and would periodically check in with him. Vladimir and Lowell were "gentle giants" who assisted him. Emily always seems to be helpful during lunch. Tina the front desk receptionist was always cheerful each morning. Lilian (the case manager) organized his discharge working to make a smooth transition into his next home - she was invaluable in educating me on medical issues and looking out for his best interests! They all worked as a great team (I know I have forgotten some people and I apologize to them) to create a successful rehabilitation. It is not easy doing what these folks do but somehow they kept their own spirits up as well as his and he will miss all of them.

Rehabilitation services are excellent. The nursing staff don't just do a job, they care about every resident. Sarah the assistant administrator helped me navigate paperwork and help with medical paperwork. She has been amazing and supportive as this is all new. Lets talk about there secret weapon and heavy hitter is Lucy Zepeda. Lucy has helped me navigate medical paperwork, my father's pension paperwork-website issues, medical insurance etc.... Lucy is absolutely a key player in this team. Not only can she handle my direct approach but is able to explain all the paperwork associated with all of the things that happened. Without her I would still be trying to tread water with it all. I can say she has taught me and absolutely been everything I needed. Thank you Lucy. The property is great for sitting outside with my dad.

Things to know: - the parking garage opens at 530AM so if you're earlier than that, just hang tight! Tickets are validated at the front desk with a bar code you scan at the exit (there's also an attendant there to assist if you can't reach). - the office opens at 545AM sharp. - the lobby is clean with lots of natural light, comfortable seating, and fresh coffee and tea. Water dispenser for cold and hot water. - staff are wonderfully friendly, attentive, and available for questions. - there's a large TV in the lobby so you can track you person's progress in real time. - the pre-op was smooth and friendly, professional and confidence building (surgery is scary!). All the nurses and the anesthesiologist were upbeat, patient with questions, and explained all things to expect. The surgeon, who you know is busy, never once made us feel like he was rushed and patiently answered our questions about the procedure and after care expectations. - post-op was extremely thorough, and there was special attention to ensuring we understood everything expected. - if you have time to spend, there's a Mel's Diner and iHop nearby... also a nice airy sports bar that opens at 11am just around the corner. Sutter's Fort is also just 1 block over and might be open! All in all, a very positive experience and mom is healing like a champ! Big thanks to all at the Fort Sutter Surgery!

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my recent experiences with Sutter Health and the…read moreway my surgeries have been handled. Two weeks ago, I wrote a review about receiving incorrect information from a pre-op nurse over the phone. Based on that information, I took a medication the morning of my scheduled surgery. As a result, the surgery center canceled my procedure just minutes before they were about to place an IV in my hand. I had to reschedule the surgery for a later date. At the same time, I already had a second surgery--a spinal procedure--scheduled for a Thursday. As I was leaving my home to go to the surgery center, I received a call informing me that the anesthesiologist would not perform the surgery at the center and that it needed to be done in a hospital in case complications occurred. Once again, I was left with no choice but to reschedule. I tried to roll with the punches and moved the first surgery to an earlier date. I was expecting to finally have that surgery next Tuesday. Then, once again, I received a call from a pre-op nurse informing me that the anesthesiologist now wanted additional testing, including an echocardiogram, before proceeding. Of course, I need a referral from my primary care physician, and getting an appointment and completing the test before the scheduled surgery date is practically impossible. So, once again, my surgery is being delayed. My spinal surgery is scheduled for next month, but at this point, I have very little confidence that it will actually happen as scheduled--even though it will now be performed in a hospital. What is most frustrating is that these surgeries were presented to the surgery center well in advance. It is extremely difficult to understand why the anesthesia team is apparently reviewing cases so late in the process, sometimes only shortly before the scheduled procedure. If additional testing or a hospital setting is required, why isn't that determined weeks in advance? Patients should not have to rearrange their lives, prepare for surgery, fast, make transportation arrangements, deal with the stress and anxiety of surgery, and then find out at the last minute that the procedure cannot go forward. Surgery is stressful enough without repeatedly being given conflicting information and having procedures canceled or delayed at the last minute. I understand that patient safety must come first, and I absolutely support appropriate medical precautions. However, better communication, earlier case review, and better coordination between the surgical team, anesthesiologists, pre-op nurses, and patients should be basic expectations. I have been with Sutter Health for years, and most of my medical records and history are already within their system. Unfortunately, these experiences over the past several months have seriously damaged my confidence in the organization. The University of California system is offering Sutter Health as one of the options during upcoming open enrollment. Based on my recent experiences, it is very unlikely that I will choose Sutter, and I certainly cannot recommend the plan to my colleagues. At this point, I am seriously considering requesting copies of all my medical records before the end of the year and moving my care elsewhere. Perhaps my new health plan will provide the level of communication, coordination, and patient care that I expected from Sutter but have not experienced over the past few months. Patients deserve better than last-minute surprises when it comes to something as important and stressful as surgery.
