After opening joint account, front desk flagged that I had already attempted to cash check (rejected because I did not have JOINT account for the AND type check at time of rejection a few weeks earlier) . She called Manager who did not override. Called B of A customer service who essentially said Manager was wrong. No reason check could not be deposited into JOINT account even if rejected for individual account (since no funds went through). Explained to Manger but she said system would not let her cash. I did not believe her. She did not have street smart to navigate through unfamiliar territory. Customer service was right, Manager was WRONG and did not LISTEN to customer needs and did not consult with higher management for guidance. I cashed check via mobile ap into new joint checking account and the funds came through a few days later. Plan on transferring to Wells Fargo and leaving B of A. Wells Fargo staff are always friendly. Different culture and company.
