The barbershop is called Midtown classic cuts but for those that have been around a while you may remember it as Crumps Barbershop. My haircut is consistently done exactly as I like it and at a very reasonable price. I almost hate to leave a good review for fear that the place will become so popular that I'll have to make a reservation months in advance. But all kidding aside this is your best bet if you're looking for a barbershop versus a beauty salon. Trust me you will not regret coming to this barber. As others have stated it is cash only so make sure you stop by Publix on the way in to get a Pub sub and some cash from their ATM on your way to the barber.

I have been looking for a good barber having experienced negative experiences twice…read more John's Barber Shop is located in Fernandina neighboring a tattoo parlor, the Pampered Pooch, and the Nassau County Democratic Party. John's is a great place to sit and be part of the conversation led by John with other customers. John has a good historical knowledge of Fernandina. His dad retired after working in the shop for 42 years. My first time and it did not feel that way as I was included as if I was a regular. Now to the haircut. John is a craftsman who takes his time. His attention to detail is very good. I watched other customers come out of the chair pleased at John's skill. I was pleased with my haircut and all the things I learned. I will go back.
