These are definitely the nicest apartments that you will find in MN. We even searched the more…read moreexpensive ones in the city, but these are by far the nicest. I am not entirely a fan, but I'm not unhappy. I will list my pros and cons of why.... Apartments: pro: open concept, easy to keep clean, granite counter-tops con: very cheaply constructed, the kitchen island is so tall that it become not useful space. The kitchen sink does not have a hand held sprayer. Office: pro: the office ladies are pretty helpful, they seem to legitimately care about your well being. con: maint doesn't seem to happen very quickly. Pool: pro: this apartment has a pool, (I guess this isn't too common in mn) con: it is extremely small, very little lounging, pool is not always clean Grills: pro: there are two grills in the pool area con: they are not well kept. the igniters do not work on either grill. There initially was this really nice cast iron food press that went along with the grills, but some really lazy individual left it laying on the ground, and now it is rusted and unusable. Gym: pro: the gym is open all the time. It has this awesome little area to do workout videos, and they have provided tons of videos. I literally use it everyday. con: the floor is always dirty, the treadmills are not balanced so they rock back and forth as you run. People don't clean up after themselves. Parking: Pro: not assigned parking! you can park anywhere con: parking is horrible on friday and saturday nights. You literally cannot find parking. (very frustrating for people who actually live here) overall cleanliness: pro: the mail room has a shredder. (great idea) con: I found dog poop in the hall the first month I lived here. I always find trash in the parking lot (like entire fast food bags and soda cups) Peacefulness: pro: your on the lake, close to awesome trails con: teenagers live here with subwoofers in their cars. My neighbors that live above me sometimes sound like they are going to fall through the ceiling. Sometimes my lights even flicker because of them

I took advantage of a promo to test out a free week at the Reserve. I wasn't sure because the…read morewebsite looked very corporate and stiff, but once I came into the space it felt very warm and cozy. The colors in the space are light with some nice wood and stone accents. They do a really good job with the architecture to minimize how sound travels. It's not distracting to have someone 10 feet away on a phone call. There is standing spaces (which I absolutely need) and sit down cubicles. The challenge with the standing spaces is that they are all in the middle of the room, so you can feel very exposed. In contrast, they have some sitting spaces that are more semi-private by the wall. They make a good effort to have social events and create more of a community with their members. The Reserve delivers the basics of what you need in a co-working space and more. I would highly recommend you check out the space and see it in-person. I also get co-working space at the Impact Hub in Minneapolis through an organization I work with. I have to say -- my preference is for the Impact Hub which has a more dynamic environment filled with folks working for the social good. Impact Hub also has an amazing rate for students. However, the Impact Hub is also a 30 minute drive (60 if it's rush hour) and has parking fees. I've noticed that co-working out of the Reserve has significantly lowered my stress level (it's only a few miles from my house -- compared to 25 miles to Minneapolis). The membership rates are structured slightly differently than other coworking spaces, but it's reasonably priced with other places around town. Worth the membership fee? In my opinion, YES. It's made me a believer. As much as people glorify home offices or try to make do with coffee shops/libraries -- for me, the cost of co-working places are worth the gains in productivity.

I've used the services of various "turn-key" and "incubator" spaces over the years: Davinci, Select…read moreOffice Suites, CoCo, Industrious, and others. Regus remains my favorite. Regus provides consistent quality, good management, professional staff, and familiar layout in whatever location I've used, which includes a couple locations in the Twin Cities; McLean, VA, and Pune, India. Bonestroo has been my home base for about a year. It is in a boring but convenient industrial area, yet provides the same professional atmosphere as their spaces downtown. It provides traditional private office. I am not a fan of open layouts like CoCo, which I find are distracting, annoying, and unproductive environments. Nor do I like semi-"private" spaces with glass walls. I have no interest in paying to work in a terrarium. No, give me a nice Regus office. Solid walls, solid door, and quiet. The furniture is solid, comfortable, and professional looking. The design and decor of both the office interiors and the common areas are tasteful and appropriate for professional use. Management and staff have been great: professional in their communication, accommodating, and successful in maintaining a professional but welcoming environment. The building has plenty of parking, but the more convenient front lot can fill up and there have been times when I've come to the office later in the morning and couldn't find a spot in the front lot. The back requires a bit of an extra walk, but is still convenient. My only one complaint, the only thing keeping me from giving this location five stars is that things can be pretty messy Monday morning and all the coffee mugs will be dirty and the coffee will be out. The bathrooms also get pretty gross by Monday morning. I understand that there is no reception or cleaning staff working on the weekend. What I don't understand is why the cleaning staff works Friday night instead of Sunday night. I would expect everything to be ready for the start of the work week. For my business, I don't have many clients visiting, but I would avoid Monday morning meetings because I would be embarrassed at the piles of dishes, the dirty bathrooms, and the inability to offer coffee. I don't want to overstate the issue since after the staff gets in things are cleaned up and coffee restocked, though sometimes it takes a while for there to be enough coffee mugs available for the number of tenants who want coffee Monday morning. This is my only complaint. I otherwise have been very happy with my tenancy here and whole-heartedly recommend this location.
