We have had them take our daughter's pictures since they started, many years ago, and they're like a fine wine that gets better with age. I really enjoy their down to earth personalities which I think makes it so easy to work with our daughter. Erik and Ana have great professional equipment, and are very keen on making sure they listen to what vision, if any, we have for a particular photo shoot. They have taken photos of our daughter since she was a baby in settings for 4th of July with her cousins, Autumn backdrop with her cousins again, They have taken pictures out in nature, most recently they took her 1st Communion Pictures, and they are just beautiful. They have excellent props and backdrop settings, which they put together themselves, for most, if not all the seasons, and if there's a specific theme you have in mind, they are quick to get what they need and bring it to life. During our last photo shoot of our daughter's special Sacrament, of course we had to stage it because the actual mass took place the day before, and we were able to get permission to use the church my husband works in to take pictures of our daughter since the church itself is not being used, because of Covid-19, but their professionalism was most evident. Erik and Ana were wearing their masks and gloves, and again, made us feel comfortable and safe. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. It was really important to me to have a copy of the raw footage from my wedding, because I knew I was going to be too busy to remember the ceremony and the toasts, and all those other important moments. Anne and Dave offered a package that included this footage, and at a reasonable price. The other videographer I had found who offered this was charging an exorbitant amount. (2) I spoke with Anne before hiring her, and I really liked her. She responded to my email inquiry very quickly. When we talked about their packages, she gave me her honest opinion--that, for what I was looking for, one of their cheaper packages would be sufficient. She could have tried to upsell me, but the fact that she didn't showed me that she has integrity. I also just really liked her energy when I spoke with her. She seemed really earnest, cheerful, and supportive. I'm so pleased with the work that Anne and Dave did. They arrived early to the venue and worked nonstop until after the first dance. Our photographer seemed to enjoy working with them, to the extent that I thought they were already friends (but they'd all just met that day). Anne and Dave both had good suggestions for certain shots they wanted, and even recommended some shots to the photographer. Lastly, there was a point before the ceremony where I was extremely stressed and frustrated, and Anne came over under the guise of fixing my necklace, but I think she was also trying to help me take deep breaths. She wasn't being condescending or anything, it was just a natural extension of her calm energy. That moment helped ground me, and helped me feel like I had someone supporting me. I could cry just thinking about it, because she knew what I needed in the moment. We received our highlight video less than 2 months after the wedding, and it's so cute! My husband and I were very lucky to book time with Erin for a maternity photo shoot we had late…read moreinto my first pregnancy. I was very skeptical of having photos taken of myself (who wants to see yourself that HUGE) but I am SO SO glad I did. I was also unsure about the photo session because I am really shy in front of cameras, and I had no idea what I liked or what I wanted. I knew I wanted photos, but I didn't know how to ask for what I couldn't visualize for myself. My impressions of Erin's work were 5 stars right away. First, Erin called me about a week before the shoot and asked me a ton of questions about what style I liked, what shots I would like to get or any goals I had for the shoot. She also asked me what I didn't like, which I thought was great, because it seemed that I knew more about what I didn't want and that helped her plan for the shoot. She called me again 3 days before the shoot and walked me through her vision for the day. She made recommendations for locations (she had driven around and scouted them out beforehand!) and some creative ideas around what we could do the day of. She was so organized and hands on with the planning that it made me feel 100% taken care of. I wasn't worried about planning because she had it all down. She even recommended some color options for what I would wear. I literally had to do nothing but show up, she had everything covered! The shoot itself was a blast. Erin is a very talented and professional photographer but she also has an amazing sense of humor. She kept things light and had us cracking up most of the time. It made things so easy. By 30 minutes into it, she had made us feel so relaxed and comfortable that we were finally getting into it and able to capture some great moments. After the shoot, she sent us a "teaser" pic a day or two later and made us really excited about seeing the rest. About 2 weeks later we had this beautiful package delivered including a disc with our photos and a lovely note from Erin. It was perfect! I can't say enough good things about this gal. We plan to get photos of our son and will continue to use her services to capture special moments in his life as the little man grows up.
