The last time I reviewed Margot (La Petite Photo) was after my maternity session. Since then, Margot has captured two sessions of our family of 3. We LOVED the photos from both sessions. We used them on our Christmas cards. We also printed and framed our favorite shots in our home. As a photographer, Margot is creative, easy-going, and open-minded. Her prices and packages are reasonable and flexible. For our first session, we opted for a half hour family portrait session. The following year, we chose the 15 minute mini-session (realistically all a toddler can handle!). Margot is great at getting infants and toddlers to look at the camera and smile (at the very least not frown) She is a toddler mom herself and she knows ALL the tricks. Margot is an up and coming photographer. Not only is she professional, but she made this photoshoot memorable. I have never gotten my pictures taken by a photographer and I highly recommend Margot and I will explain why. First, she is so inviting. She took us to the location we were going to do our session and during the ride there we chatted a lot about our life and Margot has this incredible spirit that makes you smile. Learning that Margot is French, we decided to practice our French. To say the least, we need to practice more, however Margot was kind of enough to help us. Then, when we got to our location she is able to direct us where the lighting is perfect for the photoshoots. What is more, she came prepared! She brought out a blanket, a bottle of cava and two glasses. We had so much fun in the way she directed us that I have some of the photos as my wallpaper on my computer and phone. The lighting, the location and her presence made it easy for us to follow and do. It reflects in the photo and it does not feel force. Afterwards, she showed us some of the pictures and asked us what we thought and, because my boyfriend loves photos, he was able to ask Margot if we could position ourselves differently or move to another spot. Margot is so willing to ensure that we were happy with the photos and offered additional tips and advice to improve the quality of the photos. And finally, when all was finished, she is quick to send us our final shots which my boyfriend still talks about till this day. It is truly one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. I am a musician and I needed some high resolution photos for my press kit. We scheduled a few hours and she recommended some great spots for outdoor photos that have unique backgrounds. I had 3 sessions in total with Margot: a portrait shoot at the beach a couple years ago, and 2 maternity sessions this year (one was in an intimate indoor setting, and the other one was outdoors). Let me tell you... when I saw the pictures I couldn't believe my eyes. Margot's talent behind the camera is incredible, you can tell that she loves what she does and she knows exactly what she is doing. She loves people and is amazing at creating the most comfortable atmosphere for everyone in the photoshoot. She even managed to put my husband at ease (he naturally "feels awkward" when getting his pictures taken), and he looks great on all the pictures!
