I put down the money for her stay after being told by Daniella that I would be refunded after her Medicare kicked in. As promised Medicare began paying for her stay on the second day. She passed away 2 weeks after her stay so I was busy with arrangements and grief. I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

I now can't walk or stand on my own and I have some neurological problems stemming from the lack of responsibility from the night staff here. I went to another therapy center and now I'm in assisted nursing facility with problems from the diabetic coma I went in. No one can figure out how long I was in a coma before being found. I have Orthostatic hypotension: when laying down my blood seems okay, when I set up it drops 20-30 points, when I stand there is another 20-30 point drop. The cardiologist keeps my sitting BP a bit high so I will avoid the standing drop and me becoming dizzy. I take Midodrine at breakfast and lunch. Today I was refused the breakfast meds, and almost refused the lunch med because the nurse took my sitting BP, declared it was High and I didn't need it. I asked him to take it again when I stood up, of course it dropped, and he gave me the meds. I also take pain medicine because of degenerate disc and arthritis in my back. So far today it has been refused. The nurse is refusing the medication that 2 doctors have ordered for me! This app only allowed me to lower by one star, but, you decide! Bear in mind the other review I gave for five stars I standby with the nurses and all employees. Monday through Friday it is the weekend group that has been a total disappointment. I had scheduled to go home Thursday, today's actions may cause me to go home earlier!

After 3 days of above and beyond by both reps, and final approval for In-Network benefits, an office manager named "Brittney" decided that "MOST TIMES pre-auths were not honored and left the customer paying out of network benefits or full cost" so "we just can't accept you as a patient" unless you want to come as Out-of-Network. Why would I want to do that when I finally received Pre-Authorization for In-Network benefits from my insurance company????? Money-grub much? Why don't you let me deal with MY insurance company...I cannot tell you how many times I heard the phrase "no, but if you'd like to come as an Out-Patient, we'd be happy to...." Maybe the thought of continued customer service made them decide to pass me by.

Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.
