My daughter was involved in a fender bender while attending college at Cal Poly SLO. Initially, she took her car to Caliber Collision and based on reviews I thought they would do good work. However, the work was not completed correctly (see photo). I would not recommend this location to anybody in need of body work. read more

They did a great job on our car after a fender bender. The communication was good and they even offered to drop off the car. We were updated on the status of the car throughout the process. Robert was great. Feel safe dropping the car off for repairs here. Happy Yelping! read more

I don't do many reviews but this is ridiculous. Went in to get an estimate I've been a loyal Caliber Collision customer for years, always trusting them with my vehicles (including high-end ones) without issue--until now. In October, I brought in my car for repairs/painting. They informed me a part was needed and would be ordered. Understanding potential holiday delays, I followed up in January--only to be told the part had been ordered but it was "someone else's fault" for the delay. Fair enough, I waited. In February, I called again: the part was in, but then they asked when I'd pick it up. Confused, I reminded them the work included painting--they responded they weren't sure they could even work on my car because it's "high-end." This information would have been incredibly helpful back in October, saving me months of waiting. The representative said a manager would call me back. No call came. Two weeks later, I called and spoke to someone claiming to be a manager--they promised to look into it and call back. Again, nothing. Now in March, I called once more: the manager was "out of town," they needed "approval" to proceed on my vehicle, and--surprise--no callback followed. I've been patient and reasonable throughout, giving them every chance to resolve this over multiple months. This level of disorganization, repeated broken promises, lack of follow-through, and sudden hesitation on high-end work after initial acceptance shows a complete disregard for my time, trust, and business. I will never take any of my cars to any Caliber Collision location again. It's disappointing to end a long positive history this way, but the lack of respect and professionalism is beyond tolerable. If you're considering Caliber, think twice--especially for anything specialized or time-sensitive. read more

Less than two weeks ago, my wife and I were at our winery, that we are club members at. Sure enough, someone backed into us. Contacted our insurance. I saw that Caliber was Certified BMW, so I picked them. Went in, was greeted by two awesome women. One did a quick estimate and then asked if I wanted to proceed. I said yes and that's when I started working with the General Manager, Jesus. He did a full estimate, got me in the next day (Friday) and told me they could get it done before the following Friday. I called Tuesday and he told me they maybe done the following day, but most likely Thursday. Sure enough, I could've picked it up Wednesday, but our schedule didn't work out. First thing this morning went and received awesome service. Jesus, the body man, did an awesome job! Once again, greeted, told they hope to see me in better circumstances and really treated me great. They deliver great customer service, in the worst of times for the customers and a great finished product. I recommend Caliber, on Granada, in SLO, to anybody! Huge value when you can send your car to someone and know you're going to be in great hands. *I truly loved how the two women in the office interacted with my daughter, when I first went in. Once again, going above and beyond* read more

Five stars to everyone at Caliber on Granada on SLO. My auto insurance offered Caliber as a choice when my car was hit, and I am so pleased with this crew. From my first inquiry as a walk-in, and through the entire estimate and repair timeline process, it was a great experience. Friendly, comfortable, good communication and outline of expectations and timeframe; they even assisted in the rental car process, and made sure that my costs were covered by insurance. Car looks great, and they finished earlier than scheduled so I could have my car back for the weekend. Thank you to Jesus, Dionne, Reyes and Jesse! read more

The team at Caliber Collision here in SLO was simply excellent! From the very first call with Dionne, the communication was friendly, prompt, and helpful from start to finish. Jesus and his team did an excellent job on the repair, and made sure the final result was beautiful. The whole team genuinely cared about the job being done right, and it was a pleasure to do business with them. I highly recommend them, and will be using them again when the need arises. First off, I want to thank the entire Caliber Collision team for all the amazing work and service they provide to all of their customers. Secondly, Jesse (Jesus) is the absolute man. This was my second time having the pleasure of working with Jesse and I am even more impressed than the first (which was already great). Not only did Jesse provide me with a thorough and detailed breakdown of all of the planned repairs, answered all of my questions, but also accommodated the repair time due to an emergency trip I had. Overall, I am extremely happy with the outcome of the car but what really sticks with you is how amazing the customer service and professionalism are over at this Caliber Collision. read more

Caliber Collision - Body Shops Near Me - San Luis Obispo, California

The body shop is generally a place none of us want to have to visit, but the team at Caliber is the least stressful part of being in an accident. They walk you through every step with thoroughness and clear expectations of cost and time, and the results help you forget it ever happened! I highly recommended this shop. read more

Caliber Collision in San Luis is the one who ended up fixing my car they took it down there after I had been bumped in the rear and were able to replace what was necessary on the left rear of my car and it looks better than new I guess the new paint job really shines too so I'm extremely happy with them and they were very helpful to continue to give us service even after the job was done so that we could return the car to the rental place in this covid time which was quite a little puzzle and they were very happy to sell it and we appreciate them very much thank you Caliber Collision you have my recommendation read more

Our experience with this location was possibly the best automotive experience we have ever had, & we have had many, many as between the two of us have been driving for over one hundred years......I was met by the lovely Dion & Alandra who introduced me to Jesse Alonzo who had everything under control before we even met. Rental car, all the insurance transactions, etc., etc., etc. I had never done this on my own, & was rather nervous about all the details of this process. Jesse put me at ease right from the get go & had all the answers to all my questions. He & Alandra & Dion called me & kept me updated at all times. It was a joy to deal with these folks. Had another reason to deal with these three again just weeks later & it was the same five star rating the second time ! Now my husband's car has been the victim of a hit and run, so we are dealing with these three yet again. Thank~you all, warm regards, Dr. Alan & Robin Ross read more

The team at Caliber Collision were a huge help and provided excellent support during a difficult time managing through all the steps of managing a vehicle insurance claim. If you ever need to get your car repaired, this would be the place. The members are super friendly, helpful and flexible! I went here to get my car repaired after someone hit me and this was definitely the easiest part. They were super flexible with rescheduling and gave frequent updates (through phone, email and text - you can choose which). Also I think one guy told me that if you're having trouble with any of the repairs, they'll see you at any other Caliber Collision repair shop. There's a bunch in California! I'm so glad insurance recommended this shop! Also the repair was done MUCH quicker than I expected! read more

Caliber reached out and the manager called to apologize regarding the conflicted issue.

A day ago I had scrapped the underside of my front bumper on a curb backing out and it caused the plastic covering to come undone so it was dragging when I went over a speed bump or a low curb. I went in right as they opened to see what they could do for me and they immediately took a look at it. They were able to fix it in 30 minutes and had me off driving on the roads again without that plastic hanging down and making a noise whenever I went over a bump. HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST PLACES EVER!! The manager was so sweet! read more

My daughter's car hood was damaged by a falling branch. It's her first car and she hasn't owned it very long, so it was upsetting for her. Caliber Collision was recommended by our USAA insurance and we were very pleased. Pat, the manager, was outstanding. He patiently looked over the car, explained what needed to be done, and answered my daughter's questions with courtesy. The repairs were completed a couple days earlier than they promised and Noah kept my daughter up to date on their progress. Been these folks' client for 10 years, back when it was San Luis Auto Body. They're under the national Caliber umbrella now but it's the same good folks, same quality work. For whatever reason my cars generally have 3 stage metallic paint - you'd think it'd be hard to match but I'd challenge anyone to tell a Caliber-painted part from factory new. They're also friendly and attentive - definitely a cut above the usual SLO standard. I'd recommend them to a friend without a second thought. I accidentally posted the above review to the *other* Caliber location in town, the one on Thread Lane. But this review is for the Granada location. I found that out, when I showed up for what I thought was my appointment and found out I'd called the wrong place. Pat recognized me as a long-time customer and took care of me and my car immediately, even without an appointment, no muss, no fuss. read more
