I don't do many reviews but this is ridiculous. Went in to get an estimate I've been a loyal Caliber Collision customer for years, always trusting them with my vehicles (including high-end ones) without issue--until now. In October, I brought in my car for repairs/painting. They informed me a part was needed and would be ordered. Understanding potential holiday delays, I followed up in January--only to be told the part had been ordered but it was "someone else's fault" for the delay. Fair enough, I waited. In February, I called again: the part was in, but then they asked when I'd pick it up. Confused, I reminded them the work included painting--they responded they weren't sure they could even work on my car because it's "high-end." This information would have been incredibly helpful back in October, saving me months of waiting. The representative said a manager would call me back. No call came. Two weeks later, I called and spoke to someone claiming to be a manager--they promised to look into it and call back. Again, nothing. Now in March, I called once more: the manager was "out of town," they needed "approval" to proceed on my vehicle, and--surprise--no callback followed. I've been patient and reasonable throughout, giving them every chance to resolve this over multiple months. This level of disorganization, repeated broken promises, lack of follow-through, and sudden hesitation on high-end work after initial acceptance shows a complete disregard for my time, trust, and business. I will never take any of my cars to any Caliber Collision location again. It's disappointing to end a long positive history this way, but the lack of respect and professionalism is beyond tolerable. If you're considering Caliber, think twice--especially for anything specialized or time-sensitive. read more

My daughter was involved in a fender bender while attending college at Cal Poly SLO. Initially, she took her car to Caliber Collision and based on reviews I thought they would do good work. Less than two weeks ago, my wife and I were at our winery, that we are club members at. Sure enough, someone backed into us. Contacted our insurance. I saw that Caliber was Certified BMW, so I picked them. Went in, was greeted by two awesome women. One did a quick estimate and then asked if I wanted to proceed. I said yes and that's when I started working with the General Manager, Jesus. He did a full estimate, got me in the next day (Friday) and told me they could get it done before the following Friday. I called Tuesday and he told me they maybe done the following day, but most likely Thursday. Sure enough, I could've picked it up Wednesday, but our schedule didn't work out. First thing this morning went and received awesome service. Jesus, the body man, did an awesome job! Once again, greeted, told they hope to see me in better circumstances and really treated me great. They deliver great customer service, in the worst of times for the customers and a great finished product. I recommend Caliber, on Granada, in SLO, to anybody! If you ever need to get your car repaired, this would be the place. The members are super friendly, helpful and flexible! I went here to get my car repaired after someone hit me and this was definitely the easiest part. They were super flexible with rescheduling and gave frequent updates (through phone, email and text - you can choose which). Also I think one guy told me that if you're having trouble with any of the repairs, they'll see you at any other Caliber Collision repair shop. There's a bunch in California! A day ago I had scrapped the underside of my front bumper on a curb backing out and it caused the plastic covering to come undone so it was dragging when I went over a speed bump or a low curb. I went in right as they opened to see what they could do for me and they immediately took a look at it. They were able to fix it in 30 minutes and had me off driving on the roads again without that plastic hanging down and making a noise whenever I went over a bump. Been these folks' client for 10 years, back when it was San Luis Auto Body. They're under the national Caliber umbrella now but it's the same good folks, same quality work. For whatever reason my cars generally have 3 stage metallic paint - you'd think it'd be hard to match but I'd challenge anyone to tell a Caliber-painted part from factory new. They're also friendly and attentive - definitely a cut above the usual SLO standard. I'd recommend them to a friend without a second thought. I accidentally posted the above review to the *other* Caliber location in town, the one on Thread Lane. But this review is for the Granada location. I found that out, when I showed up for what I thought was my appointment and found out I'd called the wrong place.
