I haven't had to have my vehicle in a body shop in a long time. My 5-month-old car ended up with a…read moreblown out sunroof. In my rural area there was no place that would fix it except for J&R. Unfortunately I live an hour and 15 minutes from them. They were so helpful, and understanding of my situation, it was very impressive. They ordered the parts, and they were able to get them in quickly. That says a lot about their ability and buying power. With them knowing my situation they scheduled me to come in and had me fixed within an hour and a half. The fact that they respected my time and the fact that I was coming from so far was very impressive. Scotty was very knowledgeable and worked quickly using just pictures. All of the staff were great. I would like to give a special shout out to Tanya, she was at the front and since I was without a vehicle was very friendly and conversational. She is absolutely lovely and was wonderful to talk to. I would highly recommend you go here, especially the Effingham location. The price since I had to pay out of pocket was very reasonable.

So there I was, an out-of-town woman passing through Effingham, IL, on a business trip using my…read morepersonal vehicle. My car broke down at midnight. I called L & C, and the man who answered said that he'll take care of me first thing in the morning. I got a tow to them. And, first thing in the morning, they took care of me. I was allowed into the shop to watch the tech hoist my car and make a diagnosis. My cats roaming around the car didn't like it, but I sure as sugar cookies did (because I'm more curious). I needed a whole new drive shaft, and the tech hunted for one while I waited in the lobby. I agreed to letting them order a used part, and I agreed to let them repair one other issue they identified. They let me leave my car with them for the week, because I still had a deadline to get to my business destination. I picked it up five days later with no issue. It's been over a year since the repair. My car has run just fine ever since. Verdict: These guys care about taking care of people. Thank you.

Ok, so my partner and I were looking for a Camaro. We had a budget and couldn't go over it. He…read morefound our car with this place. We rode Greyhound to Effingham (round trip ticket was 58/person). The owner Dee Dee Muncy and her Bear Boyfriend picked us up at the "station" (it's a 24 hour pilot gas station and McDonalds combined). We rode back in a Kitty Kat, almost like a limo; very plush in the back seat. They drove us to their lot. Now let me tell ya, even though this is a buy here pay here place, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT. They do NOT get cars from auctions. They have personal buyers that they deal with. Kinda classy to me. Well anyhoo, they have some really nice cars on the lot and there was our new child. My partner took it for a test drive while I stayed behind and already knew we were driving back to Chicago in it Saturday evening. And yes, we did!! If you go to their website, it'll show you the cars she has. Among the other clean and sharp vehicles, PLEASE check out the double black Chevy SS Turbocharged Monte Carlo with the spoiler, mag wheels and sunroof. If we had enough money we would have bought that too!! It's so awesome!! Dee Dee runs a VERY clean dealership. She and her Bear Boyfriend are super duper friendly. She was so worried that we had traveled over 200 miles and weren't going to like this car. We got the car for a song!!! And it's beautiful inside and out. It was EXACTLY what we wanted!!! It's easier to do cash really when you deal with her because if you do, she'll be so kewl and knock a few dollars off of it for ya!! There's no kind of pressure tactics, they don't follow you around the lot. She sets it all up and your plates/title will be mailed to you. And if you want something she doesn't have, she has a locator service that'll find it for ya. She also operates her own towing company. It was an auto buying experience that we truly treasured. We already decided when we need another vehicle, we'll take that bus trip down to her. We were not scared to get on the road and drive down I-57 in our growly monster. Her cars are completely reliable. I know it's a long way to go to buy an vehicle but you'll be so glad you did, and you won't leave their dealership all bummed out/disappointed. Unlike many other places, what you see on their website...that's EXACTLY the way it looks in person. Arm yourself with some cash for the transaction and get there!! Let me tell you, it's a day long experience but it's a GREAT ONE!!
