We went on a road trip down to Solvang where we heard about Calilove from the owners husband who owns another tasting room called jalopy. What amazing wines!! The vibes here were amazing and our sommelier was super sweet! We needed up joining the wine club. We aren't from around here but this gives us more of a reason to come back! The wines were more on the sweet side which my husband loves. Everything was amazing and the music was fun and lively! Definitely not a snooty tasting room which is a nice change of pace. read more

I think this is such a fun place, but the last time I was here they had a couple younger girls (10-12 or so), and they kept singing karaoke over and over again. Finally, we asked our hostess to turn down the volume. Hopefully, we will have a better experience next time. As soon as we walked in the "sommelier" yawned and didn't stop yawning the entire time we were there. This was a Sunday afternoon... I also didn't appreciate her comments to me and my boyfriend. She interjected a lot into our conversation (mind your business?) and completely word vomited, adding unwelcome comments and information we didn't want nor need. Such a fun little wine tasting room in the heart of downtown pismo. Definitely a place for a fun girls night but that doesn't mean the guys are left out. There were 2 bartenders serving one was very upbeat the other one seemed a little irritated but I do believe because it was close to closing time and there were some pretty intoxicated people in there.... Mainly annoying younger males. The merch is cute and the decor is all pink and frilly. The "roller skates" wine is a red blend and I am not a red wine fan but I thoroughly end this wine! We come to pismo ever few months and this was the first time we have seen this place. It's nice because with a town that closes down early to have this place stay open until 10 gives patrons who would like to have a glass of wine but not the bar scene not that there's many places open past 8 pm in pismo. If you're looking for a fun cute girls wine date place this the place! If you're looking for a fun date night and your date doesn't mind the pink frilly then this is an amazing place as well! Calilove reps were at Seacrest Hotel in pismo beach on 9/13. Inconsistent pours to different guests. And attitude and rudeness to some others. I also noticed one of the reps was with her husband and kept handing him massive glasses of wine, as well as for themselves, while tasting pours for guests were tiny. The wine is ok at this place, but the 2 reps made the experience very bad for some of the guests at the hotel. read more
