Been going to Luis at Cali Cuts for over 10 years, and I can honestly say he's the best barber I've ever had. Dude knows what he's doing and is always consistent, always clean with the fade, and never rushes through a cut. The shop itself has a great vibe. It's chill, laid-back, good music, and everyone there is cool. It's the kind of place where you actually want to hang out a bit, not just get in and out. Luis is a solid guy. Down to earth, remembers the little things, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. It's rare to find someone that reliable these days. If you're looking for a real barber, not some cookie-cutter chain spot, Cali Cuts is it. Highly recommend. read more

I had no idea that boys haircuts were so intricate! After several bad haircuts, I was referred to Luis from a friend. Now, it's been 10 years and no one else can compare. Luis knows the "in" styles and taught my boys how to take care of their hair. He also knows what's appropriate for schools versus vacation mode. His calendar system is easy to use. His attention to detail, immaculate. When on vacation, my boys had someone else "clean up" their cut. Never again! Never cheat on your barber! read more

Adam gave me a good fade + a beard trim/shape. He did a really good job! He is professional, polite, attentive, and receptive to my needs/requests. I was impressed. I also had the chance to meet the owner, Luis. Nice guy, too! No other customers were there while I was getting my cut, but Adam said they take walk-ins, along with their regulars who show up for their usual cuts. I live out of town and was visiting my in-laws prior to going on a trip. That's why I needed a fresh fade. I'm happy with my decision to walk-in to Cali Cuts! I'll be back, again, when visiting the in-laws. Thanks Adam! read more

I've been coming to Cali Cuts since it opened in 2013 and Luis has kept me fresh for over a decade. He's more than just my barber, he's become a friend and family member to my sons and I. There is no one else I'd trust with my hair and Lu's work speaks for itself! read more

This remains a great barber shop. They have really grown over the past ten years and the service remains great. It's so good to find an old school barber who uses a straight razor to trim your neck and beard. I'm an old guy and it feels like a spa day here for me. It definitely has a cool vibe, although I'm not the only old guy I've seen getting a haircut here. Pedro the barber is five stars plus, but there are a bunch of other excellent barbers here, too Highly recommended and I will continue to come back read more

I called to see how much a fade cut was and told me to come on in. I arrive at the place and walk in and see nobody. I said Hello, and someone walks out and greets me. Tells me to give him a few minutes. So I take a seat. I wait there for 10 minutes while the guy was watching a video on his phone the whole time. Then eventually look's at me and said it will be a few more minutes. I stand up and say you must be busy and I will find another place and walk out! read more

Service by Luis is always the best! My brother doesn't go to anyone else! He's very attentive to the customers preferences and genuinely cares to make customers happy! You won't find another barber as friendly and cool as Luis! Vibe is always right in there. My brother loves it and so does my boyfriend! Doesn't go to anyone else! read more

My husband and our boys have been loyal customers of this barbershop for more than a decade, and they absolutely love it. Luis is their go-to guy -- he always gives clean, precise cuts and truly understands their style. Not only is he consistent, but he's friendly, professional, and patient. The rest of the team is great too -- no matter who you sit with, you're in good hands. We wouldn't go anywhere else. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and long-standing barbershop, this is the place! read more

There are two things I've NEVER had at this barbershop 1. A bad haircut 2. A bad experience Luis is ALWAYS on point in EVERY aspect of the business. Customer service is great, pricing is some of the best you'll find (especially considering the fact that you'll be getting an extremely high quality haircut) Luis himself has his fair share of qualifications and accolades that make him not only extremely qualified but incredibly experienced as well. He'll replicate any picture you show him to a T (he only needs to see it once, crazy!), doesn't need you to use that barber lingo that most people (like myself) wouldn't normally be familiar with, in order to get the exact cut you want. (Makes it a lot easier when you're a little unsure what you want!). I'd also like to add that Luis has a great eye for what cut would suit you best, so if you're extremely unsure walking in, trust me, trust HIM! Overall, great cut, great price, great guy, great barbershop. Wouldn't take my business anywhere else. read more

Called trying to get a haircut last minute Manny took care of me. Got me right into a chair, asked me a bunch of questions on how exactly I wanted it cut, I showed him a pic and he executed it perfectly. Friendly crew. Cool shop. Good price. Would recommend. Just call ahead and connect with someone and they set you up. Thanks again Manny read more

I liked my haircut in this place, clean barber shop, David did a good job. They're cash only FYI.

Really not ok. Not what my son meant by a lineup. The calicut barber destroyed 6 months of growth. We won't be ever going back. Horrible. read more

Been here a few times. Eh. These guys think they are hot shit, too cool or something. Came in as a walk in, 4 barbers and not one said hello. All said they had an upcoming but none even offered to make an appointment. It almost seemed as I was interrupting their day. All good homies y'all seem too busy for new loyal customers anyways. Probably why you see barbers rotate through here often. Moving on to a different shop that takes their job seriously. read more

Have had my hair cut at this barbershop several times. Do not expect professional barbers at this establishment. Me and my brother had our appointments cancelled just hours prior the last time we tried to get a cut here. Luckily, John's barbershop in Van Nuys came through that day despite being understaffed. A much more professional barbershop! Some real low IQ individuals working here. The owner, Luis, is a skilled barber but works way too fast. This clown actually cut me while doing my line up and tried to play it off as if nothing happened. I look in the mirror and I see blood gushing down my face! He didn't even bother to apologize. Got a fresh cut but had to wear a bandaid on my face lol. The second time he cut my hair we had a communication problem. Dude wanted to just get me out of there and wasn't happy that he gave me the wrong cut. This guy acts like he's the only barbershop in town. Avoid if you can. read more

Completely unprofessional read reviews they are real they told me long as I'm here before 6 I can get a cut got there 550 closes at 7 one person cutting hair 3 barbers in and they asked me if I wanted to make an appointment I hope yall go out of business cause this is common in the reviews it took me 30mins to get here I'm so mad read more

Charlie and the rest are very good barbers would really recommend this place one cut from the guys and you pulling all the hynas

Try elswhere. I was waiting awhile and 2 barbers are in the back watching tv. Obviously they dont about customers or making money.

Great cuts! Service was good and fast. Price was good for my sons haircut. I like supporting local biz

Reading through all of these reviews I never thought I'd be the one to do this but that was RIDICULOUS. I called in at 5:30 to see what the wait time was for a walk in and they told me an hour. I called back 10 minutes later to see the cost of a haircut I even offered to pay them more money to take us quicker and they just said to come in. We got there 5 minutes later and these guys tell us they're closing up early today. It was 6pm and it shows they close at 7pm. What kind of lazy person are you to have money thrown at you for a quick cut and still say no. I feel bad for the owner of this establishment to have such lazy workers. And if YOU are the owners turning away customers willing to pay extra then god help you. Two guys turned us away. Never coming back read more

So I barely moved into the neighborhood and my hair was getting pretty long and my usual barber is in reseda,so I was looking for a new place to try and I saw that Cali cuts was just a 5 min walk,so I was like ok cool ima give it a try and I got there Nd the barbers were cool,it was a clean place, but I asked for an under cut and they completely messed up the back and it's totally uneven and noticeable,The middle looks like it's been chomped on and the sides pass the middle so it looks like a rainbow. And the worse part is I had to pay 30 dollars but I didn't notice the back was horrible until I got home and my family was pointing it out right away.I will not be coming back here, ima just go to my usual barber in reseda read more

If you got some time to kill , go hangout. Good movies , always cold drinks , a pool table and always good company . This place feels like a fusion between a man cave and a social club , one more thing they CAN cut hair . Mario looks like he just got of the bus from the east village (nyc) , but don't be fooled , the guy knows his craft!!!! Always takes his time , and very focused . Unless I'll move out of town , I'm there twice A month. I could write some more but I'm just too lazy. read more

This place is B-O-M-B! Very cool man cave vibe. Too my hubby there to get his mane cut. Came in with a great pirate ponytail, left with a Don Juan haircut. OSCAR!!!!!!! Ask for Oscar. I'm sure all the guys are great, we had Oscar and will go back. He's awesome, has a great sense of humor and knows hair. My husband has a full heard of perfect gray hair. Oscar handled that haircut as well, if not better, than the expensive haircuts hubby used to get in LA. If you're anywhere near the SF Valley, go there!!! No reason to go anywhere else. None. Pool table, TV, lots of chairs, and really cool guys working there. So whether your looking for a cut for yourself, son, spouse, parent, relative, friend... Go! Now! By the way, ask Oscar to tell you about his twins. Hahahahaha Thanks Oscar. See you next month and thereafter. Thanks for taking care of Steve and letting me keep the ponytail. read more
