Adam gave me a good fade + a beard trim/shape. He did a really good job! He is professional, polite, attentive, and receptive to my needs/requests. I was impressed. I also had the chance to meet the owner, Luis. Nice guy, too! No other customers were there while I was getting my cut, but Adam said they take walk-ins, along with their regulars who show up for their usual cuts. I called to see how much a fade cut was and told me to come on in. I arrive at the place and walk in and see nobody. I said Hello, and someone walks out and greets me. Tells me to give him a few minutes. So I take a seat. I wait there for 10 minutes while the guy was watching a video on his phone the whole time. It's so good to find an old school barber who uses a straight razor to trim your neck and beard. I'm an old guy and it feels like a spa day here for me. He'll replicate any picture you show him to a T (he only needs to see it once, crazy!), doesn't need you to use that barber lingo that most people (like myself) wouldn't normally be familiar with, in order to get the exact cut you want. (Makes it a lot easier when you're a little unsure what you want!). Me and my brother had our appointments cancelled just hours prior the last time we tried to get a cut here. Luckily, John's barbershop in Van Nuys came through that day despite being understaffed. Reading through all of these reviews I never thought I'd be the one to do this but that was RIDICULOUS. I called in at 5:30 to see what the wait time was for a walk in and they told me an hour. I called back 10 minutes later to see the cost of a haircut I even offered to pay them more money to take us quicker and they just said to come in. We got there 5 minutes later and these guys tell us they're closing up early today. It was 6pm and it shows they close at 7pm. What kind of lazy person are you to have money thrown at you for a quick cut and still say no. I feel bad for the owner of this establishment to have such lazy workers.
