I've only been once, but this group was really impressive and entertaining. Regardless of how long they have been playing their instruments, they all look like they're having a good time. Johnny Summers, Director and Founder of the Calgary Jazz Orchestra (professionally trained vocalist, trumpeter, arranger and composer) kind of made me melt in my seat because he's funny, very talented and cute. Razzama Jazz Big Band is a community-based, not-for-profit band that will reach its first quarter century next year. Under the musical direction of Craig Johnson, who arranges much of our repertoire, and with the vocal stylings of Lee Ann DeCoteau, Razzama Jazz plays a variety of exciting tunes, new and old. This fundraising dance represents the first time since pre-Covid that we have staged an event for our supporters to enjoy.
