So kind and instantly makes you relaxed. next the dental hygienist came in and she was full of information and really helped me understand how to take care of my teeth to ensure they stay healthy for a long time. very patient and kind as well. I feel like I won the lottery. From the very first visit, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, welcome, and absolutely fearless. So much so, that I do not have insurance any longer and continue at this practice because they are so WONDERFUL! Also - they offer a discount if you are paying with cash or check - BONUS. There may also be other discounts available and all you need to do is call and ask. Staff has also commented they would be happy to help me go over insurance plans should I go that route again. I have NEVER been to a practice where I have been offered that help. Dr. Williamson is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. He spends as much time as you would like with you and thoroughly answers all questions. Also, I needed an 'emergency appointment' to have a crown re-glued before I was leaving on a trip. I was worried that I was going to have to pay for the visit and the procedure - that's the case at all. This is a practice where they do NOT nickel and dime you to death. I only paid for the procedure and they made my appt ASAP. I cannot say enough about how wonderful staff is as well. Cleanings are absolutely stress-free! This practice is really, really great. The morning of my appointment I called again and explained I did call previously and I would need to cancel my appointment. They said okay no problem and canceled it. They have been harassing me ever since through mail trying to get a cancellation fee from me! They have sent me 4-5 letters and I even went out of my way to email them explaining that I gave plenty of notice and they never even explained any cancellation policy to me. They never responded! I would avoid a place that feels the need to wrongfully nickel and dime people for canceling an appointment because their child was vomiting everywhere and not responding to communication.

Katelynn has set up a payment plan with three payments including the insurance coverage. Dr.Newsome and Jen were awesome as I sat for over three hours while they did all the work. You may ask why the one star review if everything went so well. Here is the issue I have; after my crown was installed Katelynn came in to tell me that this type of extensive dental work i was not covered at all by my insurance and she had a new payment plan that now covered six months of payments. I was livid. I would never have done all that work especially the crown if I had known ahead of time. I understand mistakes are made but this one was going to cost me almost $800. I told Katelynn I would not sign the plan until I had a chance to think about it. She tried to push me into it, minimizing the huge problem of the extra cost. She said "a pop up must have came up that was not noticed ". Regardless of why it was missed I signed two contracts for the three month plan. I signed one at my initial appointment on Monday and another yesterday before the work because the plan with the crown had not been saved for some reason. Now I was supposed to get a cleaning by the hygienist named John. I was just about to leave without having it done because I was so upset but John spent time calming me down which meant he would have to stay late for my cleaning. These people were all great and even this morning one Advil was enough to help the pain. The other root canal I had many years ago even the hydrocodone they gave me did not help. If it weren't for the huge mistake made with my bill this would have been a five star review. I would have written it yesterday as soon as I returned but I wanted time to think about what to say. I rarely write reviews but I felt this "mistake " deserved I just got a call from Katelynn. Dr. Vincent's was spoken to today and the decision was made to keep the original payment schedule. That is awesome and the right thing to do. I have changed my review to five stars because mistakes are made every day and I certainly am not above them. It is how those mistakes are dealt with that tells the tale and Northside Family Dentistry did the right thing. Thank you all for your help and the start of a long relationship with my family's teeth. I now only have to wait six months for my insurance to work on some of my other dental issues. I especially want to thank Katelynn for taking the time to explain my coverage to me more in depth today so now I know what I can and cannot have done and when for it to be covered.

My cleaning was fantastic, she told me everything she was about to do. I had to have a crown put on and as I felt a bit anxious, we made a few changes to help me feel calm. I love the the person assisting the dentist was so gracious and allowed me to hold her arm, all while still working with the dentist. THAT meant a lot to me.
